This business is run by crooks who rip off tourists. At least, they thought I was a tourist and would never hear from me again. That’s why they overcharged me $ 60 to splice a wire. That’s around four times what the job was worth.
Incidentally, I found the problem myself, I had the spare wire, I even pointed to the location and held the wire while the shop hand soldered it. So there was not even any brain-​work for R&D involved. Good, because the owner had no brain.
I know, I should have settled the price first, but one cannot effectively negotiate every tiny transaction in this life, and that is why I say I was ripped off. Also, I am not in the habit of arguing with fat, ugly slobs whose desk is surrounded by a ring of Big Mac wrappers.
Worse, the slob did not even go out to inspect the job. Instead, he pretended to look in a book, then zapped me $ 60 for ten minutes work.
If you need any mechanics done, there is an excellent garage across the street that is staffed by honest people.
