Maybe I shouldn’t be writing my camping reviews in January. Maybe I’m being nostalgic for summer. I stayed here at least thrice in the summer of 2015. Beautiful lake, nice beach, beautiful roads for bike riding, an amazing(and ACCESSIBLE!!) playground for kiddos. 4 stars instead of 5 because the sites are soooo close together. The last time we went we grouped up with friends around one of the«loops» and that was much better… but I don’t want to hear the people in the next tent making out. Maybe I’m a prude?

I have lots a fun here with pinics and BBQs and swimming with my son its a fun place 2 be the only thing I wish they would change is taking all the pebbles out of the sand because they really hurt your feet bad but its a great place

Its my second time here camping… love it! Lots of space between sites… private and woodsy! The bathrooms are great… showers super clean and no outdoorsy toilets w no doors… its a normal bathroom… its great :-) Would highly recommend camping here!

I tend to ignore 1 and 5 star reviews. Not too much in life is totally terrible or totally awesome. West Branch campground really is that awesome. Sites are nicely spaced. Price is right. Great play area for kids. Great roads for riding bikes. Beach area for swimming that’s pretty good. Shower houses are fantastic. It’s seriously the best of the Ohio State Parks and, based on the location, you wouldn’t have guessed it. We just took a 300 mile RV trip and our final assessment was we could’ve done everything we wanted 30 miles from home at West Branch.

I love this place. We go here mostly for the swimming, but they have other amenities also. I can only review the beach though. This is an unguarded beach. This place is larger than Portage Lakes and cleaner too! They have a «lap lane» that separates the swimming area from the boating area and it out far enough that even the tallest adult can’t touch the bottom. Busy or not, this place is very peaceful and fun. My kids love building sand castles and looking for shells. Worth the visit.
