We moved into a relatively new home in southern New Hampshire on ¾th’s an acre a couple of years ago and became interested in adding a fence for privacy and most importantly our dog. The fence company required a staked property line survey. Normally, we would choose the highest rated, but this industry does not have a lot of reviews so we searched Google, Unilocal and Angie’s List and after reviewing everyone’s website we narrowed it down to about 6 or so. We emailed all of them. A couple never responded, others took a while but Blaisdell Survey responded quickly and professionally. He among a few others were able to provide quotes based on our address. Several quotes came in incredibly high, because they presumably have a lot of overhead. The high quotes most often said that it may even be higher if they run into issues on site which worried us. We narrowed it down to Blaisdell and another option, but choose Blaisdell, because they had a good site, competitively priced, one man shop, responsive communication via email and was available the same week. They only accept cash or check, however this is understandable as credit card fees dig into your bottom line when you a small company offering competitive pricing. The larger companies will accept credit cards but they will also charge you a great deal more for the convenience. The process only took a little of an an hour and spent time explaining the boundaries and providing a great deal of very helpful information. The larger companies who seem to employ young college kids more likely would only put the stakes and call it a day where is Blaisdell has a wealth of knowledge. Would highly recommend Blaisdell Survey for anyone in need of a surveyor who offers competitive pricing, quick and easy scheduling, high-end equipment, and detailed on site information as he walks the property line with you.
