Annie’s Book Stop

They are fantastic. They have a great and creative selection of children’s gifts in addition to books. Also, you can order many, many books and get them very quickly, sometimes even next day, and you don’t have to pay shipping.

In this age of Kindles and Nooks it is so hard to find a book you are looking for locally. My husband wanted a few books that were about the local area and didn’t have time to wait for Amazon delivery. I tried a book store in my area with no luck and while in the Raynham area did another search and found Annie’s Book Stop. I figured it was worth a look.
Annie’s sells both new and used books. The store itself is relatively small and a large portion of it is dedicated to childrens books. It wasn’t clearly labeled what area was new and what area was used books and I also didn’t see obvious pricing for the used books. Now I was in a rush so maybe somehow I just missed it. After checking out I realized used books are 50% off the cover price. They will also order books for you. A gentleman came in to pick up the books he ordered while I was there, but there seemed to have been a mixup with it.
The woman at the counter was friendly and the amazing thing is they had all three books my husband wanted. If you are looking for some books and in the area, it is worth a stop.

I hate going to Barnes and Noble! They’re selection in store absolutely stinks and sometimes I’m too impatient to order a book off of
but fortunately I gave Annie’s a call for a couple of books that Barnes and Noble would not even look up when I called. The staff are very pleasant. They ordered it, told me what day to expect it to arrive at the store and best of all, I paid for the books when I got to the store which is something you don’t get to do at a big bookstore chain when the book isn’t in stock. Love love love this store! Will definitely be back! :)

It is awesome they are having a local sports author do a book signing at this store on June 2^nd. Just in time for Father’s Day.

My former roommate from Chicago recently had a baby and she had a list of classic children’s books on her registry, so I wanted to pick up a few for the little guy. Annie’s fit the bill in that it was right off 24 on my way to Easton for dinner. I was also happy to support a local book store.
I ended up buying Goodnight Moon, Frog and Toad are Friends, and Please Try to Remember the First of Octember (one of my favs as a kid). The woman who was working at the time was very friendly and helpful in reminding me of the authors of the Frances books. The selection of classic «read to me» books was small, but I was impressed with the collection of books for child readers, grouped by grade level and topic. I might check this place out again for books for my goddaughter, who is 8. There also seemed to be a wide variety of books for adults, but I didn’t have time to peruse them. Annie’s is definitely worth checking out!
