I recently had a reservation for High Tea for two to celebrate my sister’s birthday and we were extremely disappointed. My sister was gracious enough not to complain and so was I, knowing that I would do so later on the website. The Victorian home was decorated beautifully and that’s why I gave it the two stars. We each received our pots of tea and I believe the tea may have been stale because there was no aroma when you poured that first cup and it just didn’t have that«brisk» taste that you would expect from Mint. We each had salad(out of a bag with Ken’s bottled dressing), 2 different cups of soup, mine was tasty however my sister’s was watered down,(she offered me a taste that’s how I knew). The sandwich(cut into 4 wedges) had very meager amounts of filling and the bread itself was stale and very thick, almost like a Texas Toast bread size. The desserts were ok, but if you weren’t careful you could have broken a tooth on the stale chocolate chips in the brownie square. When I made the reservation the hostess told me that she would make a note to have a candle on my sisters dessert to celebrate her birthday and when we arrived, I reminded the hostess that I had asked for the candle topped dessert when I made the reservation. Unfortunately, the waitress did not bring the«candle» topped dessert. Oh well, but that time I was anxious to leave because I wasn’t sure if I could hold on to my «good manners:. I did leave a generous tip because it is my nature… but in retrospect… I probably didn’t need to since all the employees are members of the family who own the business.

Bring a group of family and friends and you need to go all out with ordering the High Tea special… You won’t regret it!

Heard about this place through Living Social. I love«high tea», so for $ 20 for two, who could pass that up?! The place was amazingly gorgeous and they really did it up for the holidays. There is an upstairs and a downstairs and you can tour it all. The tea was delicious and the staff was fabulous. The food was good, too, but not a place for men. They have a vegetarian option and know exactly what is in each food item. It was thud best tea room I have been to. The only downfall was that the service was slow.

The Tea room is fine, rather different then most I have been to, The tea was fine, they didn’t serve cream/milk. I forgot to ask. We didn’t have a reservation and were treated like this was the worse thing we could have done, they had a bus trip there who were about to leave and a small party coming in, but we were seated in a room all by ourselves. We had a groupon and I had a little trouble linking to their hotspot and we could do nothing until I was able to log in and show them the groupon. That was inconvenient, we could have gotten our tea at least. The ladies running the tea room seem nice enough but like they have never worked in a service industry before. Food was good. smallest scone I have ever seen. Neirghborhood not so good.

Great little tea room. Traditional tea with little treats and sandwiches. A great variety of tea and tea snacks. The waitstaff is very friendly for tea shop folks. They have a shop in the back where you can order any of the tea or tea things to take with you.
