I’ve been going to Chapman’s for years. I just love their sandwiches. The one that is my favorite is the ham and cheese. I love the taste of an Italian sandwich but with a ham and cheese. So the sandwich has olive oil instead of mayo, salami, cheese, ham, and Italian seasonings, lettuce and tomato. All this on a in store baked roll. What a delicious sandwich! Most of the time my husband and I get a sandwich to go and another one for a lunch the next day. The extra one is prepared so it will be just as great as the first one. Dave is always friendly as well as his wife and daughter. We enjoy discussing current happenings in and around the area since we had lived in the area for years before we moved away. It is a great sandwich as well as the cheese steak, another favorite.

Chapmans is a family owned restaurant. Good cheesesteaks and Hoagies and affordable specials. Nothing fancy but you get a quality hoagie. they do tend to bicker alot but the food is good.

They must be coasting on the name. Horribly dirty carpet, ceiling fans have a thick coating of greasy dirt, odd selection of canned sodas. Sandwiches are made with the same bare hands that handle the money. Italian sub was thick slabs of meat with tasteless(refrigerated) tomato slices. Pastrami sandwich was better but nowhere near good. I don’t understand why anyone would eat here.

10am. Stopped in for the first time after passing by this place for years. I just wanted a deli breakfast staple — bacon, egg, and cheese on a kaiser roll and a cup of coffee. I walked in and was greated by a smokey haze and the décor and sanitary conditions of a low budget trailer home on welfare. Dirty carpet and walls, greasy nooks and crannies, and scuffed 1970’s wood paneling. Smokey haze was probably just a grill goof, but the other stuff? Just nasty. They had 5 breakfast specials on the board and the classics were there and priced right. $ 3.50 for the 2 egg classic. The guy working(appeared to be the owner) greated me with an attitude like I was interrupting his morning routine. No smile, no good morning. Just more of a — what do you want attitude. Mind you I was the only person in the place. The salads and appetizing in the case looked like it was all commercially produced/buy it by the 5 gallon bucket garbage. Cold cuts were Deitz and Watson which generally tastes like crap unless you are from Berks County, PA and don’t know any better. THEONLYCOFFEETHEYOFFEREDWAS A FRIGGIN(do it yourself) KEURIGMACHINE! Any commercial eatery trying to sell charge money for Keurig should be fined. So I sit down to eat my sandwhich with no coffee. The eggs were cooked on such a filthy grill that not only were the eggs colored brown and gray with black chunks of stuff everywhere, but they were still runny and the cheese wasn’t even melted. The classic deli breakfast tasted like he used the bun to wipe out the grease trap. I choked it down as I looked around and said never again. Stay away from this place for breakfast, and after this first impression they lost me for lunch which I can’t imagine being a better experience.

I can’t imagine what the previous reviewer is talking about. I know that this is a family run deli and they are some of the nicest people you could meet. The food is fresh and always very good. They have worked very hard over the years to provide great food at fair prices and they have done that consistently. Don’t be swayed by one customer’s bad day… go try Chapmans for yourself… you won’t be disappointed.

All of the food looked and smelled great, but customer service ruined all of that for me. If i am paying to eat I do not want my meal to be ruined by bickering employees who cannot seem to work together. The girl that served me rolled her eyes numerous times and would not stop complaining or getting visibly angry in front of all the customers. My meal turned out to be pretty good, and usually I will at least spare two stars for a good meal with bad service, but in this case, my day had a serious raincloud over it due to the bad mood and vibes I received from the girl working here.

Great cheese steaks! Go local and buy a Chapman’s Deli sandwich. Kelly McGillis from top gun use to live on the top floor. Seriously that is no joke!!!
