Came here back during the holidays for dinner since everyone is a big fan of seafood. We started out with drinks, and I was a little surprised at how good all the cocktails sounded. My boyfriend convinced me to try the pickle martini since I love both, and it tastes exactly how it sounds — a pickle-y twist to a dirty martini. Others played it safe with beers from their sufficient beer list that included a few good craft beers. We started with a few appetizers: the crispy shrimp with mango habanero sauce that we found only mildly spicy, the crab dip that was warm, rich and delicious, and the classic shrimp cocktail. For entrees, I got the ahi tuna that was cooked rare to perfection. My boyfriend got the swordfish special and added crab on top, which totally transformed it and made it super rich. His dad got the jambalaya pasta(recommended) but swapped out pasta for rice and glad he made that decision. The pasta dish portions are huuuuuuge, so come hungry if you order those. Not being able to resist dessert(and since we were celebrating), we split the apple cobbler between 6 spoons and certainly don’t regret it. :)

Gotta say… very impressed with the service. From the moment we walked on, service was attentive without being intrusive. Always had exactly what we needed. This is a nice place to grab a bite in wyomissing. Clean, casual ambience, just a bit overpriced but maybe worth it for the good experience. I had the fish tacos for lunch. Good, not great. Others ordered the jambalaya pasta(a little salty) and the chicken Alfredo(tasty). Would recommend a try.

I found my meal to be better than average but the service was slow. Ordinarily if it is busy I understand but it wasn’t all that busy. I had the Jambalaya with brown rice in place of linguini. The meal was tasty with just the right amount of kick.

I wasn’t really sure what to make of this place as it seemed they specialized in in seafood. This is the last night of training for me so our entire group of 12 decided we would all go out to this place for dinner. I ended up ordering the jambalaya And it was absolutely amazing. Our server also had no issue splitting the bill 12 ways and was very attentive. Next time I am in town I will be back.

It was so busy on Wednesday night and they handled It very professionally. All staff here is nice you can tell it has a friendly vibe!!!

So I would actually rate this place’s food a 3 but the customer service bumped it up a star. Everyone was really nice and attentive. I had the lobster dip which was too salty. However it had a good chunks of seafood in the dip. The bread was delicious and comes out warm. For dinner, I had grilled Chilean sea bass. That was cooked really well. I took home the coconut cream pie for dessert. I opened the container when I got home. It was more in the shape of a cheesecake but no graham cracker crust. It had a very unpleasant gummy texture to it. The toffee sauce and whipped cream made it tolerable to have a couple bites but the texture was just too heinous.

We thought we would stop here early on a Saturday when our movie let out. We went to the bar and there were three other people having drinks. The bartender was AWKWARD and seemed a bit drunk. She could not remember what kind of beer my husband ordered nor could she remember to bring us menus as we said we might have some food. Finally, she bought menus and we ordered the calamari appetizer. This was not very good and it came with a jarred dipping sauce that I have in my own refrigerator. My husband had dropped his fork and asked the bartender for another one and she replied that she did not have to clean up as she will be working as a server in a few minutes. She did give him another fork. I gave this one star. We did not order dinner and found a place nearby for dinner. AWFUL. ABSOLUTELYAWFUL.

Usually, if I don’t see an ocean, I don’t order seafood. Tonight was an exception and I was glad for it! While I did not have a full out meal all choices were stellar Shrimp cocktail fresh and cocktail sauce had a kick! Calamari was wonderful and the apple crisp was well… The perfect ending to z crisp fall evening Try this place out and you will enjoy too

We have gone here a number of times. We are in love with Austin’s so decided to give this place a try. We have not had a bad meal here. I have gotten the Ahi Tuna numerous times and it’s AMAZING. I normally get the au gratin potatoes… YUM! the last time I tried the Mac and Cheese. it was just OK. Tasted like someone had too much fun adding Old Bay. Which is ok for a seafood restaurant, but in Mac and Cheese? Desserts are very good but HUGE!!! Almost need a small portion dessert as most of the desserts are so big you need to share. The Chocolate Chip Cookie is def worth the wait! The bill was a little pricey but we will be going back

We went to Coastal Grille on Sunday(kids eat free). Our experience was fantastic. Great service, friendly atmosphere, great food. We had the baha tacos, lobster grilled cheese and ahi tuna steak. Everything was delish, no complaints. My LO didn’t like his kid’s sliders much but might do the tilapia for him next time.

Love the happy hour! Ahi tuna? Delicious. I’ve also had the scallops, and they were cooked perfectly as well. Pretty decent craft beer selection, too.

The wife and I love to go out on Friday nights, and what better a thing to do then have dinner at a new location in which I could review! To top it off, this was a special occasion because a couple that we have been friends with for over a decade was in the area and we wanted something extra good to tie in with the company. Coastal Grille is the newest eatery in the Wyomissing Target Shopping Center. It currently resides in the building that previously hosted Uno’s and Seafood Shanty. They renovated the insides, opening it up a bit more. Decorations are just fine, nothing overbearing or tacky. When I sat down, I opened up my notebook and started jotting down things as I noticed them. Your wait staff is rotational. This means that you’ll be seeing more then one face. This is nice in that you can reach out and get service from anyone, but I think may lead to more orders getting messed up. You take reservations and that is a plus. It seems to be a growing trend, where places do not accept reservations. Poor form on their part. Your beer selection, while not the best, was more then adequate. I especially liked your offering of Flying Fish’s Grand Cru. Finally, we had a coupon emailed to us for a free appetizer, but forgot to print it out. You were more then gracious about viewing it off of our phones and accepting it. I will point out that we could get any appetizer, and that is a huge bonus. Your service was not without its flaws, however. For a cup of soup, we waited 35 minutes. The dinner itself took over an hour. I was beginning to believe you dispatched a diver to catch my Rainbow Trout by hand. You would have earned an «A» for effort, but any longer edges closer to an «F» for service in a restaurant. I do not have an answer for how to improve your response time, but I can say that while an hour for a good meal may be acceptable to some, over half an hour for a cup of soup should be unacceptable to everyone. Bonus points for the fresh bread you delivered, but my suggestion is that your wait staff keep an eye on that. It’s a simple thing, that chunk of carbohydrates, but if you’re especially busy perhaps rolling out another batch of free bread to tide your patrons over would be a good move. The night ended up going well. Your seats were adequate, but nothing to write home about. If you factor in the hour wait for my meal, plus drinks afterwords, we were there a bit over two hours. My back hurt something fierce, and I don’t think your booths helped. Bathrooms were very clean functioned just as you’d like them to. Nothing to write home about here, but nothing to crucify either. Consider that a win. Overall I’m going to rate this place with 4-stars. It’s obviously got a few kinks to work out which set it apart from the(very) few places I’d give 5 to but it’s so much better then a lot of options in the area. To give you a quick idea, and not to derail the purpose of this review, I recently did a review of P.J. Whelihan’s where I stated: «It seems my only recourse is to leave you with a single star, the absolute worst that Unilocal will allow me, and the hope that you will either quickly fix your deficiencies, or be replaced by someone more savvy.» Here’ is what I believe to be the first of a few new offerings being established in the area, that will quickly drive Whelihans out of business. To the owners and managers of the Coastal Grille, keep up the good work. You have a few things to work on but compared to your local competition they’re a drop in the bucket.

Coastal Grille was on its game last night and, I imagine, all the time. We arrived at our scheduled reservation time and were immediately seated by a friendly hostess. After the preliminaries our group of nine settled in on lobster and shrimp dip, and the Ahi tuna which were thoroughly enjoyed. Entrees at the table included lobster roll, crab cakes, filet mignon, seafood medley, roasted chicken sandwich, haddock, and fish tacos. All were delicious, with not one complaint from the group. No complaints is saying something as my sisters picture hangs in several local restaurants as a «challenging patron». One of the stars of the night was our waitress Rachel. Her great personality and smile made the evening a delight. All the best to the Coastal Grille.

Being a seafood lover, I could not wait to visit Coastal Grille. The restaurant has nice ambiance; really like the aquarium and new décor. The Boston Baked Haddock was great. A friend had the Chilean Sea Bass and raved about it. I will try the sea bass on my next visit, which will be soon. Service was great — Awesome job!

Capital Grille kept the previous restaurants floor plan and essential business model. The key difference is the smaller variety of seafood on the menu. The lobster grilled cheese sandwich is off the chain! It is sour dough bread filled with cheddar/mozzarella cheese and chunks of real lobster meat. It is AMAZINGLY delicious! Much better than the lobster roll. The New England chowder is ridiculously good as well. The soup is homemade with big pieces of clams. Overall the service was good with the exception of the hostess. Upon entering the restaurant the two hosts had frowns on their face, they looked miserable and did not greet or welcome me or my guest. Customer service 101 = without customers your business will not exist therefore business owners should not employ people who do not put the customer 1st. Especially in today’s economy where there are so many other choices for food. The restaurant is located right off the expressway. There is plenty of parking and seating for any size party.

Great meal and atmosphere. Loved the big fish tank. A few of us got the salad with ahi tuna and it was delicious. Got portion of tuna for a lunch platter. Kids got the popcorn shrimp and it was tasty. Grandpop got tuna burger with fries and loved it. New England Clam chowder was very good, but could have use a little more clams. Good selection of beers on tap. There were about 10 beers on tap, but good quality selection, including Bells Two Hearted. Service was friendly and food came out fast. One other thing my 11 year old just commented on was that she appreciated that the kids meal was nicely presented too. Never noticed that before, but Interesting detail.

Each of my two visits were very pleasant. This restaurant seems a lot warmer than the building’s previous tenant. It’s always nice to be greeted by smiling hosts. Hopefully this place can«break the curse» of 2713 N. Meridian Boulevard. Many restaurants have come and gone at this location over the past 10 years. The owners of this place are seasoned restauranteurs, so I have little doubt they can find success with their new operation. On my first trip, we started with the seared tuna. WOW! Just absolutely nailed it. I was with someone who hates the idea of eating raw fish, but she was loving every bite. As my main I went with the jambalaya pasta. The pasta itself was slightly overdone, but the dish was completely redeemed by the hearty portions of meat and eye-opening seasonings. During my second trip, I started with the sweet & spicy island wings. They were large and meaty, but they lacked the crispiness that I crave. However, once again, I could overlook this because the sauce was so great — tangy with just enough heat. For my entrée, I went with the chicken bruschetta, which was a fresh, vibrant dish. One minor complaint — the side of rice was absolutely overcooked. It was basically mush. I got the impression that it was one of those microwaveable pouches and someone put it in too long. But I could be wrong. Other than that small blip, I have no complaints. I’ll definitely be back again.
