Fantasy Skating Center

If I could give place zero stars I would. This place is awful. It is outdated, smells, and the staff is rude. I had my two young daughters there for a birthday party over the weekend. I asked for slow skates and the skate assist contraption. They only had slow skates for one daughter and refused to tighten the skates for the other daughter. She tried skating but she couldn’t even stand with me helping her. I asked three more people to tighten the wheels and everyone refused. She ended up not skating and walking with me and her sister on the rink. They told me she was not allowed to be out there without skates although I didn’t have skates on either. Needless to say I had to leave the party after 45 minutes because I couldn’t leave my three year old to skate alone and I couldn’t leave my five year old alone off the rink. I have never been to a skating rink that would not tighen wheels. They said they couldn’t not do it because of safety issues but apparently a cracked skull or a broken bone isn’t a risk in them giving a child skates that are too loose. After that experience I will never go back there again. I would suggest to anyone to go to Ozzys in leesport or another place.

I gave up the rollerblades years ago after I once got to going too fast, couldn’t stop; crashing into a friend, sending us both to the hospital with broken bones. I’ll stick with the old fashioned quad skates from now on.
This rink allows and offers skate rentals for both rollerblading and roller skating which is pretty cool. They also have a helpful device, for small children, which is kind of like a hula hoop on four posts and wheels to help keep them stable while they’re learning. It’s nice because it allows parents to have some fun without the constant fear their child will fall.
My only wish is that this place didn’t smell like a damp 1970s disco scene. But when I’m hanging with friends, laughing til it hurts and burning 400 calories in aerobic exercise for an hour or so of skating, I’ll deal with it.
