An AMAZING place to eat! Whenever my family visits from Virginia, we are sure to stop here. My two year old LOVES the Jambalaya with tons of remoulade sauce! With this picky eater, this says A LOT! And we always have to bring home extra for later! Who would have thought the best New Orleans food could be found in Reading, PA!?!

Hidden gem in the reading area. What more can I say other than real food, done real good. And real friendly, the charming mom and pop aspect brought with the soulfulness of the food, fresh meat, seasoned perfectly to go with whatever new adventure you’re in for.

This place is a gem! Authentic flavorful food that will keep you going back for more. Some of the best pulled pork I have ever eaten as well as wonderful crab bisque and fantastic jambalaya. Do yourself a favor and give this stand a try!!!

I love, love, love the jambalaya, bisquelaya, swampalaya, etc. Portions are healthy and the food is spicy. Their pulled-​pork sandwiches are pretty good, too. The sweaty guy (J?) behind the counter just adds character to this hole-​in-​the-​wall.
