So 422 from Exeter to Lancaster Ave was doin’ it’s thing AGAIN today, so rather than sitting on the parking-lot-formerly-known-as-422, I made an executive decision and took 176S. We got off at Rt10 intending ato cut back to Lancaster Ave, and as we sat at the stoplight to turn, I noticed this new«Lunch Fixin’s» to my left. Thinking, «yeah, I should pick up lunch for us on my way back to work,» I made a quick left(yes, I might have been somewhat in the right lane, but there was nobody behind me. Don’t judge.) I wasn’t sure what to expect — maybe a sandwich shop? A little café? No, Lunch Fixin’s is more… mini-farmers-market meets grocer’s-deli-counter. A wholesome little convenience store. Now, when I was a kid, the was a convenience store that all the local kids would ride their bikes to to stock up on candy or to pick up whatever ingredients Mom had overlooked for that night’s dinner. And with no grocery store nearby, they knew they had us over a barrel. We came to realize that there was a steep price tag for such convenience. As we wandered around *this* store today, I was so pleasantly surprised to see their reasonable prices and nice quality foodstuff. I thought to myself, «I’ve gotta help get the word out about this little shop bcs there need to be more customers up in here! They can’t possibly be busy enough to sustain such fair prices… Can they?» If you live in the Green Hills, Flying Hills area, you’ve got to go check them out and make sure they stay planted right where they are! Pleasant salt-of-the-earth type folks here. Friendly & clean. We’ll definitely be back! (Shout out from the team @Lee Myles Auto Care off Lancaster Ave!)
