Went to this place for the first time. Perhaps back in 2010, this place was a great place to shop. For me, the only redeeming factor is the prominent display of Playstation 2 games. What does that tell you? This place is an unorganized mess. Consoles are all over the place, some gathering dust. They have Prima Official Strategy guides from games for the _Dreamcast_still on the front rack, and selling for $ 5. They’re also lined up all along the wall. Should just throw those in the trash and clean this place up. Manage to find a game you want? Wait 10 – 15 minutes for staff to find it in what appears to be a mountain of CD cases and whatnot in back. Wait another 5 minutes for them to clean the disc because who knows how they’re stored. PS2 controllers? $ 25. Are you kidding? Hol-ee sheeit this place is a dump. The owner is nice, talks about the state of video games today as unfortunate, quite nostalgic. Unfortunately, he’s not the right person to run this business, which really just needs to close. It’s one of the few remaining Microplay franchises on this earth. Hate to admit it, but I’d rather step into a GameStop than to come back here. One of the games I bought for Xbox 360 didn’t work. Got an attitude on the phone — saying yeah, yeah… they’ll fix it. Who knows if the game would have worked _before_they cleaned it. If you step into this place, ask them to put the game in a console to test before you bring it home, because there is a good chance it won’t function. Yup. Done. Never again.

Just drove out to microplay and what a waste of time… they tried to rip us off with a Playstation 1 game, disc only that was all stratched up for $ 25 went out to the parking lot and looked it up on ebay and the same game disk only went for less than half of that! As a matter of fact I bought it complete for only $ 22 in like new condition! I like to shop locally but they guys are the most unorganized company in berks county. Whenever we ask them about a game if they have it or not they always reply they don’t know… tired of the sloppy store and staff… won’t be back!

A giant stereotype. As long as you know about and talk about video games, you are fine. Not a hardcore gamer? Be careful. They sell knock off accessories without warning you they are knock offs. Common NES games with $ 19.99 price tags. And an absolutely terrible return policy. Microplay used to be cool but since more local competition popped up, they seem to be resorting to more dishonest tactics. Funny that Unilocal hides this review along with another one warning of the same things I am writing about.
