8÷4÷13 Spent the better part of 3 hours at this Sleepys store with gracious sales person, Dottie. A good thing! We knew going in what we wanted(firm, no pillow top, Simmons)…, but there is still a lot to choose from. FYI — Simmons recently won the Consumer Reports top innerspring mattress(we just don’t care for the latex or memory foam). So back to the experience, we tried this one and that one then found out that the mattress we liked so much(Simmons Beautyrest Legend Firm) was one of those mattresses that can be used with a motorized platform, something we never ever entertained before. So we tested the platform and a memory phone mattress. Nice but still don’t like the foam sinking feeling. So Dottie assisted us in putting our preferred mattress on the TP motorized platform so we could truly test the set up. Ahhhhhhhh, nice! Dottie threw in a few freebees(mattress covers…), delivery, and we were set. Everything in stock so it all arrives today. I’m certain the delivery experience will be as painless and pleasant as the purchase process. Hats off to Dottie and Sleepys for the opportunity to truly test the bed/platform and for their hospitality. 8÷11÷13 So the delivery truck came right on time with two very nice gentlemen of herculean strength. They zipped the old mattress/box out and the new ones in in record time. Not easy in a 1790’s home(tiny doors and ceiling heights) with winding stairs… There was a minor mix-up with the other materials on the truck for delivery(mattress cover and a separate bed frame). They forgot to drop them off, however the drivers called right away and returned in say 2 hours with the other materials. Several days later Dottie was kind enough to call and ask how things were going and how we liked the bed. Nice service. All’s well that ends well. So now we sleep and enjoy the night! jks
