Love it here! Always friendly and prompt service. I love coming here for a college football game!

Was denied entry as an active duty member on 05nov15, I presented my IL drivers license and the card from the state signed by the secretary of state showing my license doesn’t expire while upon active duty and was still denied. The bartender was extremely rude and I would not recommend this bar.

Came here on a Tuesday at 4:30 in the afternoon and was greeted by very friendly staff. They were very personable and welcoming. The food was good bar food. Side note: they have a chef that makes sauces and the sauces are out of this world. Tartar, cocktail, u name it he’ll make it on the spot. Loved it!

I want to start off by saying that Kristen the bartender was incredible! Her service and drinks were phenomenal. It was my first time at Brannigans, and I will definitely be back! Went for happy hour on Thursday night and enjoyed the dollar beers and 50 cent wings! The chicken fingers tasted very well and the honey mustard was on point! GOODSERVICEALLAROUND! Thanks again KRISTEN! — Evan

While the bar looks a bit rough and gritty looking its actually a nice little hangout place. One thing that always has me coming back is the buffalo wings. 50 cents per wing is of course a win in my book. The staff there is surprisingly friendly dont be afraid to chat em up on their down time. I cant say I’ve went during the later hours but I can assume its very lively. Now I wont sing too much praise there is a few flaws 1 that comes to mind is the mens bathroom. I mean oh my god its so fascinatingly awkward. Like its just a narrow bathroom with a toilet(No walls) and two urinals and a sink. Like imagine walking in on someone taking a shit while you had to take a piss and someone needs to vomit but they cant cuz one guys taking a shit. This is something I kinda see how funny this is. But its a bathroom. Not like youre going to take a shit in there for a majority of the time. Otherwise everything is fairly priced. Drink wise I cant say I’m too sure but they got the basics. So yeah great place overall. And I’ll be coming back for a while

Most certainly the cheapest drinks in Red Bank, but that alone doesn’t make a place stand out. We’ve lived in Red Bank for a little over a year, and this is within easy walking distance of our house. We aren’t regulars per se, but we tend to go during the week or in the winter, when the place is less crammed with… well… I don’t know who. Vacationers? Wealthy kids on break from college? Yacht club types? Not sure. Anyways, the reason I like this bar so much is twofold. The first reason is that they are TOTALLYFINE with The Fella and I settling in and playing a few rounds of chess or Scrabble in the back, and during the winter, it’s quiet and chill enough for us to do that without having our board overturned. The second reason is that they have some darned good buffalo wings at a very reasonable price. Buffalo wings aren’t hard to find in this town, but you’ll pay more and get less tasty wings other places. My co-workers(a bunch of field sales guys) will go out of their way to come here for hamburgers, too. I greatly enjoyed the burger myself, but The Fella wasn’t such a fan. Beware, though, kitchen closes at 9. As others have noted, this place is cash only, so come prepared with cash or be ready to hit up the ATM. As stated in other reviews, this place has an outdoor patio, ample TVs for all your sportsball needs, and proximity to the marina if you are coming up in here via boat like a boss.

We came here to visit our friends who said Red Bank, NJ is a nice area. We ended coming to this bar just to hang out and have some drinks. It’s just an ordinary bar with out door patio area. There are bouncers station everywhere since there are multiple entrances. How they keep track of who they ID at the patio area? The bar is not too far away from the pier which is nice. Drinks are typical. Loud music. People screaming, dancing, and drunk off their butt. Bar is a bar to me. Being a bit biast because I’m not really into that life anymore.

Hard to find a $ 2 – 3 beer anywhere in Red Bank but here. Friendly staff!

The floors and walls are sticky, it’s dark and cramped, smells a little strange. Somehow the air itself is heavier inside. The drinks are cheap, and the bartenders are probably the friendliest and funnest I have ever met. I have had a snowball fight inside this bar. I never want to go to this place, but I’m always glad when I do. It’s just a fun dive that feels safe and happy. Oh, girls beware that the bathroom is small and the wooden doors appear to be rotting but it is clean so no worries! And I’m 90% sure there is an ATM inside.

One of the worst bars ever. Disgusting place, drunk and rude bar tenders. Won’t ever be going back.

I love Brannigans. When we moved to Red Bank I was kind of disappointed in the«scene.» I am not a hipster by any stretch of the imagination. I like cold beer, watching a game on TV, maybe a patio and some good music. For me, that’s a good bar. Brannigans is exactly that. I will warn anyone that it is as you’ve read, a dive bar. Sleeves are a rarity in here, but that’s what makes it great. Also you can enjoy your beer on the back deck and look at the Navesink River. There’s no fancy deck, just tables and stools, but what more do you need. They don’t take credit cards. There are two great times to go to Branigans. On Sundays in the Fall, it’s great for football, the wings are good. Get there early they will be packed. And for a great weekend afternoon get some chicken or bunker and a crab trap and go crabbing on the pier behind the bar. Go grab a cold one at Brannigans and check your traps in between rounds. You could catch crabs at either place actually. Don’t believe anything about the«locals.» people are cool and nice, and there’s none of the pretense you get at other Red Bank establishments. The only bad thing… they used to have big buck hunter. We were heartbroken when we came in and it was gone. Long live Brannigans, in a town where Dive bars are increasingly rare.

I used to love this place, back when I was young and didn’t know any better. I think the only business this place gets are locals who come out of habit, or folks trying to re-live their younger glory days when this place was cooler. Brannigans used to have a dart board, but replaced it with some odd booth setup. I wish they replaced their frustrating cash-only policy! Anyway, the last time I came here, some of the staff were absolute dicks to me and my friends for«being loud.» So come here if you want to get yelled at for having fun! Or if you want to experience the worst bathroom in Red Bank!

All of the previous reviews of Brannigan’s are right on spot. Brannigan’s is what it is … a dive-y bar. It doesn’t pretend to be anything else. If you like dive-y-bar’s then this is your place to go. I’m not really sure there is anything to complain about. It is what it is and as long as you know what to expect before you walk in the door, you will be happy at this place. I found the bartenders to be perfectly friendly, attentive and they all had a sense of humor. Unfortunately, for me, this is definitely not my type of place or crowd, which is why I’m giving it only three stars. I’m far more comfortable over at the Globe directly across Front Street. Brannigan’s caters to a younger crowd, but even when I was younger, I didn’t really feel comfortable here. I only came here this time because the Globe insists on having music on Thursday nights which is something I will never understand. No one is coming to the Globe for music! Anyway, I’d never choose to come to Brannigan’s on my own unless I driven out of the Globe by their odd Thursday night entertainment choices. But to each his or her own! If you like these type of places, you’ll feel right at home here at Brannigan’s.

A very dive-y local bar. If you’re not a regular you will attract a few funny looks. Have great beer specials, but a little rum and coke is $ 6, which is outrageous considering you can get a mug of beer most, if not all nights, for a buck. They also don’t take credit and close the kitchen down at 9pm. The few positives I found were the number of TVs and the fact that they kicked out this one woman who was completely obliterated. Wouldn’t go back unless the group I was with really wanted to.

If you want a bar to throw-up in, then I think you found your spot. The bathrooms are filthy and tiny… highly recommended if you like brushing against another dude using the urinal next to you as you attempt to vacate the bathroom. Might as well not even use the sink… it just offers a greater opportunity to continue to share your awkward moment just a little bit longer. Plus, it’s usually filled with puke anyway. The bartenders overall are not bad, but there is one guy that consistently has the most depressing attitude and is not afraid to make it known how much he hates the concept of «effort.» One time he was wearing a t-shirt that stated«I Beat Anorexia.» Oh I get it…“irony.” Thanks for the progress report, pal. On the plus side, this place has Big Buck Hunter, which needless to say is a huge plus. Although sometimes I take a look around at the clientele and wish I could turn the gun on myself. You can also drink outside, which offers an opportunity to absorb the beautiful sights and sounds of the parking lot. If you are on a blind date and it’s not going well, bring her here to help facilitate its demise. Might as well go the full nine. The beers are pretty cheap which is a welcome change from the standard price margin in «Hip Town»(2010 Winner of the Dumbest Town Nickname Contest). However, I can usually only tolerate the inside of this dump for about two beers, and I usually guzzle them while I attempt to persuade the rest of the people in my group that we should head over to the other bar where the people haven’t been sitting there drinking since breakfast.

It’s a bar, with some TVs. If you feel compelled to watch sports somewhere other than your home, then this might be a great place for you. This place is nothing special. High concentration of males with ball caps. Yawn.

Drink your beer OUTSIDE!!! I love bars where you can drink outdoors, and you can at Brannigan’s. They’ve got a little deck, plus they often fence off the parking lot to accomodate patrons on sunny days. This is a locals bar. During the week it’s pretty quite with the regulars, but on the weekends, it’s packed with people looking for cheap drinks and a good time. Keep your expectations for food low. They serve a variety of deep fried goodness. Dart boards, and large TV’s for the games.

This place has a dive-y feel to it, but I got a ½ pint of Yuengling for $ 1.75, pretty sweet deal. Tap selection was moderate — maybe 10 beers or so on draft, a couple of which are Millers/Buds. Bartenders are not chatty but efficient. Clientele tend to be kind of older, 30s-40s. There appeared to be only 2 bathroom stalls for the ladies, which might suck, but this place looks like it caters to dudes who come to watch sports anyway.

Monday the 18th was as you all know MLK day. So I worked for a few hours in the am then got a call from Toot that Chap was at his place and they wanted to tip a few to honor the good doctor. I of course sped to Toot’s where we had a shot of Tequila to kick things off, Toot filled his pipe and then we were off! We started at Brannigan’s which is across the street from the Shark River but doesn’t really have much of a view. It was around 2;30 p.m. and the bar was full of dudes with maybe two women in the place and a cute barkeep. Two drinks here and then we were off to try and find that special MLK partying crowd. …so on to the Highlands… and our next stop on the Monmouth County shore bar tour…
