Nissan World of Red Bank

I thought I was done with dealership back in Febuary 2016… but I had to once again go back today with an issue. When I talked with Carl Oliveira I thought he would take care of my issue, and was promised a call back, which it is 6:30 and still not a call. When we bought our car in Feb 2016 we left the office completely happy with our deal. We left understanding everything was paid in full. We were assured our 2013 tags would be used on new car. When the registration was in they called to tell us it was ready for pick up. Went to dealership and was told we owed a balance!!! For what, a new plate, which we did not want. Spoke with Carl our business Mgr. and explained that’s «how» its done. They promised my husband coupons for oil changes to make up for money we had to lay out. He took our old plates, put new ones on new car. The whole thing from the get go has been so upsetting to us. Now Saturday June 4 th I get aletter in the mail saying my license and registration will be suspended due to our old plates were never returned. I have never dealt with a dealership like this. Like other people wrote once they sell you a car that is all that matters. Sure they want «10’s» on their reviews, but they don’t want to help in other matters once you leave with them selling you a car. Looks like we will have to have help in solving this… maybe tv station or a attorney. We have bought 4 cars from them… never again!!!

I called this dump to get my car fixed, the parts dept quoted me $ 223 for my part. Tamara in the service dept charges me $ 251 for the same part, $ 6 more for nothing, which brought my bill to $ 499 including labor. When dropped the car off I checked the $ 500 box as my limit. Overcharged me $ 30 for the part plus the $ 6 for nothing and they got it right up to $ 499. When I got home I called the parts dept and once again was quoted a price of $ 223 for the part. I tell him Tamara Clune charged me more than that and after a long pause he says «oh uuuh there’s a price range for parts». These people are low life crooks, not to be trusted. If I had said $ 600 was my limit the bill would have been $ 599

I would give less than one star if possible. Purchased my 3^rd car there in November. First 2 purchases were great, staff was great… this last one in November was a nightmare. Terrible customer service, no one returns calls, messed up the finance by never paying off my trade in… got hit with payments and late fees of a car I no longer owned. Dealership made excuses and will not write me a letter taking blame so there will not be a future surprise on my credit report. Was there in person today for an oil change and manager would not even come out to speak to me. So disappointed.

Courteous, honest & efficient. The salesman Daryl, sales manager Michelle & finance manager Mike were all very helpful. Red Bank is a bit of a drive from my home but I will be returning for all my car buying needs.

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you love your car do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. I had my car serviced recently and the car was serviced by an oil jockey who evidently had no love for the automotive art of servicing vehicles or other people’s property. This tech never wore gloves and serviced car bare handed. The engine oil was overfilled by 0.5 qt (half a quart) using an old bulk can method that went out with the model T Ford and the door suede interior handle and cloth had black oil smears, stains and smudges as well as the door sill was scuffed with black grease. The service writer was better fit to work at Fulton Market/​ACE Hardware than at a dealership, I could expand but I won’t. Overall it was an all around extremely unsatisfactory experience received from people who are paid to service a product and the public which maintain said product which pays the salary that they accept in exchange for supposedly doing their work and leaving a pleasant, positive impression in the costumers mind NOT. My suggestion to S.M.: Hire workers who «love» their work and show it in their performance and friendly demeanor towards everyone who walks in, we the public are not servicing our vehicles for free under any type of charity service to make us feel you are doing us a FAVOR, we are doing you the favor when we go through your doors because you are not the only franchise out there in NJ.

I’ve been contact them for days now regarding paperwork for my GAP insurance and they’ve done nothing but transfer me 100 000 times. When I finally did speak with someone, Michelle she seemed as if she had not a clue what was going on, how do you work for a company and are unaware of anything a customer asks !!!
When I finally did receive a call back from the manager ALLAN BROWN nothing was resolved except for me discovering he was very rude and obnoxious, contesting everything I was saying instead of actually trying to help me !
There are many other dealerships around with great deals and excellent customer service. STAY AWAY !!

If you had asked me last month what my opinion of Nissan World in Red Bank was I would have given them 5 stars… after the 16^th of June I would have given them a MINUS in stars.
15 months ago I had purchased a 2012 Versa sedan at this dealer for my daughter, she loved it & so did I. The purchase proceedure and the service dept. were great, no issues whatsoever. Unfortunately someone ran a stop sign & totaled her car… this is where the problems began. I had no issues with our Insurance Co. but I had purchased a pricey extended warranty and GAP insurance thru the dealer… Navagating thru the insurance world is awful enough, but this dealer just blew me off… I spent hours, literally hours in this dealers finance office trying to obtain the necessary paperwork to open claims on the GAP insurance and to cancel the extended warranty. The first issue was they had printed out my GAP insurance policy on the wrong insurance companies forms, which was a nightmare to get resolved, secondly, all the paperwork from the sale had been transferred to an office in another city and for some reason they wouldn’t just fax it to the dealer but made me wait 4 days until someone actually drove there to pick it up. I was told it would be 2 days but the driver «forgot» it the first trip… all this while I was on a time constraint for filing these claims.
I was informed that «someone» would call me from the office in reference to cancelling the extended service contract, but, as I figured… no call. I made multiple phone calls & was shuffled from one extension to the next and it always resulted in a recording stating «the person you wish to speak to is unavailable»…I don’t like getting nasty with folks but this was really too much… I am required to continue making payments on this car until these issues are resolved, I have already made one payment and ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to make another because this dealer is dragging their feet, which I suppose is the whole idea on giving me the run around so they have to pay less on the extended warranty.

Once again I was promised just this morning, that another form that they are in possession of
and which I need to open the Gap claim would be faxed to me… I made that request approximately 10 am and it is now 3:30 in the afternoon and still no fax. I requested that form 3 seperate times today… I had already picked out another car for my daughter at this dealer but they blew that sale… I gave them over 20k and they can’t bother to fax me one sheet of paper… Do NOT purchase vehicles at this dealer… once they get your money they don’t want to know you… I will use a different dealer that is more reputable and trustworthy.
7/22…the general manager of this establishment responded to the above review this morning asking me to call & speak with him so he may help resolve the issues I am having. My «earliest convenience» was this afternoon and I was told today is his day off… I assumed that being that he responded today that he would be in the office but I should have expected nothing less… poor service all around… it would have been a big help if I had been informed that he was out of the office today… oh, by the way… STILL no paperwork that I requested yesterday 3x… total fail …

Terrible sales practices! I thought bait and switch was a thing of the past! They advertised having 2 cars I’d be interested in getting for my son I called numerous times to see if it was available. They even texted me a few hours before trying to schedule an appointment to test drive and when I went a few hours later SURPRISE! They had miraculously been sold since they were soooo busy! FYI NOT A SINGLE SOUL IN THE DEALER WHEN I WENT! Maggie the internet specialist full of crap, sales people there VERY RUDE, and when I made a big deal they sent a valet guy to talk to me who made matters worse telling me I wasn’t worth arguing with!!! TOO BAD FOR YOU RED BANK NISSAN, I was buying ALL CASH!!! SHAME ON YOU!

THIS PLACE SUCKS! DO NOT GO HERE EVER! Rude employees, and WAY WAY WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!
I wanted to get my car looked at. JUST LOOKED AT! Guess what? Diagnostic fee OF $ 79.99!!! As I expressed my feelings about how outrageously expensive that was the employee hung up on me.
I regret ever buying my car here. I am from now on taking my business someplace else. Oh wait, I already have because I never went here because it’s way too expensive.

Dealership warning– Pricing on line are not honored and buyer is told to launch a complaint with the car listing site– what a joke. Now I understand the low rating by all clients that did decide to leave comments on Unilocal– stay away from Red Bank Nissan there are many other reputable dealers around the corner

I brought my car to Nissan World of Red Bank for a routine oil change. The technician forgot to put the radiator cap back on. While driving on the parkway the next day my car started shaking, was unable to accelerate, and started to shut down. I moved over to the right lane from the far left and looked for a place to pull over, but due to construction I could not find a safe area. I got off the nearest exit (about 3 miles), saw that my temperature gauge was as high as it could go, and the car was unable to accelerate. I immediately pulled over and called for a tow truck through my insurance (about 2:50pm). I next called the service department to tell them that I was stuck and would be arranging for a tow truck to bring my car back. I was told by Frank that I had to get there by 4 or my car would have to wait there until Monday. When I explained that I would do the best I could and asked if someone could stay there to fix their error I was told the only way the car would be seen was if I could get it in before four. I asked about a rental vehicle as I need a car to get to work and was told that was not an option. I was also encouraged by Frank to put water into the radiator and try and drive there instead of waiting for the tow. As the car had already shut down once I decided to wait for the tow in order to avoid further damage to my car and a potential accident. I asked if I had a friend or relative wait for me at the service department if they could stay open and was again told no. No suggestions on how to solve the situation were provided by the dealer and they were unwilling to participate in any problem solving that would inconvenience them. I arranged for my father to go to the dealer on my behalf and see if in person he could arrange something. Frank and Charlie (the service department manager) were able to arrange for a technician to stay until about 5pm. Unfortunately by the time the tow truck came and brought the car in it was after 5pm. While waiting for the tow truck Frank called me and said that the dealership did have a rental that I could use. This was not what I was originally told when I proposed the solution, which was that there was the dealership does not do car rentals. This was also after I put a review of the situation on social media. When I arrived to the dealership no one from service was there. I spoke with a sales associate and no one in the dealership seemed aware that I was coming to leave my car. The service department had left the rental keys with my father. I left my keys in the drop box (with assistance from the sales associate since I was not given instructions on what to do after I brought the car back).

Spoke with Charlie from service after they left message saying that my car is ready. They did a pressure test, oil change, refilled radiator, and replaced cap. They said that taking the cap off is not usually part of an oil change, and that the tech does not remember doing it. I stated how I had concerns regarding further damage to the engine. Charlie said it did not get hot enough for that (reaching 280 would not cause the damage I was concerned about). I asked if I could speak with a general manager when I got there as I was very dissatisfied. Charlie said he would like to try and settle things with him. I explained how I felt that I should be compensated for the danger I was put in (driving on the parkway and having to get to safety with a car not functioning properly), the time I have had to spend without my vehicle, having to arrange for it to be brought back through my insurance, and Frank’s inability to help me or work with me on Saturday. I asked for documentation and a guarantee that there was no major damage to my vehicle. Charlie said that he stood behind the work that was done. I asked for him to put in writing that they forgot the cap and that they were assuring me that no further damage was done. Charlie said a list of the work done would be provided. I again asked how I would be compensated for their error. Charlie asked what I had in mind. I asked him to let me know what would be possible. He offered to «help» with my next service. I am not sure why the customer has to be the one making all of the suggestions about how to resolve a problem that the service department caused. Eventually I suggested that they complete the service recommendations that were made at during my oil change at their cost. I plan on having all of this work independently examined by another mechanic (which will be more money out of my pocket over an oil change that should have only cost $ 30) as I do not trust that they can work on a vehicle and return it in safe working order to a customer.

Now that I have received my plates, I can say that I am moderately satisfied. The dealership contracts out-​of-​state registration, which explains to lag time. I would recommend the dealership either bring the operation in-​house or find a new contractor to handle this vital piece of the car-​buying experience.

Do not go to this dealership. They have poor customer service skills. We negotiated a low price on a used altima, $ 800 less than what they were willing to sell me the car for. When it came time to do the financing, I realized they added a window etch fee of $ 349 without my consent. After arguing with them to remove the fee, because I fid not request window etch, they refused to sell me the car because I wouldn’t pay the $ 349 and basically told me to pick up my deposit check and leave. Just a little tip for everyone, you don’t need to buy window etch; you can do it yourself. Also, the salesman, named steve, made us wait 2 hours before he even submitted our finance papers to the finance manager. Every time we asked him what the interest rate was for the loan, he would avoid the question and bring out papers in an attempt to get us to sign them. Worst experience here. anyone looking to buy a nissan do not go to the one in rb!!! horrible service, went back 4 times assured they can win back business and i left! manager is a waste of space he proceeds to tell me he can’t come down on a car because he has a daughter to feed (really i don’t give two shits) and another sales person driving me around town to see his house and then to the walgreens to get his rx and them throwing my keys and breaking the remote 285.00 to fix it, really stay far away from that dealership.

Dropped off my car for service,. The customer service was excellent. They didn’t try to sell me on changing my «cabin filter» which seems to be the new thing every time I drop my car off for a oil change. Very happy

I LOVE this dealership. I bought my first car here. As in the first car that I bought with my own money. I was so nervous because I’m terrible at negotiating but as soon as I walked in there was no pressure to buy. Tom, our advisor, was honest and funny and made me feel good with any decision I made. I found a car I LOVED but it was just over my price range. I left but came back because I couldn’t get the car out of my mind. They worked with me on the price and I ended up with my dream car! They made it so easy and stress free. Now any time I come back for maintenance they say hi and it’s like I’m coming around to hang out with my friends. Amazing service, reliable cars, and an over all wonderful experience.

Bought a 2008 Nissan Sentra on December 30. I still don’t have title or the plates and its February 2. We have received a complete runaround about how the state is backed up, and such. It turns out, the dealer doesn’t have the title — its with a bank in Texas.
UPDATE — After talking to many rude people at the dealer that were unhelpful and flat out nasty to my wife. I sent an email via the RB Nissan website complaining as outlined above and threatening to file a complaint at the DMV. Within minutes the consumer relations manager called. I explained the problem. He investigated and called back in a few minutes and explained that the dealer incorrectly paid the pay off on the traded in vehicle that I purchased. The bank wouldn’t release the title. That has been corrected and the title should be here on Monday. I’m disappointed the rank and file were not honest and straight with me. I run a business, I know s*** happens. They just needed to tell me and I would not have had an issue.
I’m upgrading to 2 stars. I await a resolution.
UPDATE — no resolution. 2 months passed and no title. Still all excuses. I have plates but no title. I didn’t think the DMV issued plates without a title. I smell something fishy. NEVER EVER buy a car from this dealer. Do not walk away — run.
We are filing a complaint with the DMV tomorrow and interviewing attorneys. It’s time to file a law suit. I’ve been robbed — paid for a car and do not have a title. That’s grand theft. I’ll call the state police tomorrow to determine if there are criminal charges to be filed.
UPDATE — Filed DMV complaint and BBB complaint. Amazingly — the title arrived today to be picked up — 2 MONTHS after purchase. Nobody apologized. A clerk handed it to me and sent me on my way. NEVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER!!!

This dealership contacted in an attempt to purchase my vehicle. We agreed to a price, which they reduced by $ 200 by the time I brought it in two days later. At that point, I accepted the $ 200 difference just to push forward with the transaction.
Upon inspection of the vehicle, their crack service staff found over $ 3000 worth of work that was required and offered me over $ 2000 less than the original negotiated price. I had to remind them that I had a bumper to bumper warranty to repair one of the two items, which they finally agreed on after doing their due diligence at my request. I shouldn’t have to remind them that certain items are covered under my warranty, but in this instance, it clearly benefit the dealer to conveniently forget this. For the second item, exhaust work, they were attempting to charge back $ 2300, which was ridiculous for this type of work. I immediately took the vehicle to Pine Belt Nissan in Keyport, who repaired the vehicle for $ 125. Amazing how Red Bank Nissan was trying to convince me that $ 125 worth of work would cost them $ 2300 to do.
So, my overall complaint is the poor tactics that were used to reduce the offer on my vehicle, particularly around the fact that Red Bank Nissan was attempting to misrepresent and over-​quote for service, in attempt to undervalue my vehicle. I’ve bought two vehicles here in the past, and one would think that would account for honest service. Sadly, it does not…
