I went here for the first time two days ago and every good thing that was written by others about this establishment proved to be true. The server(Dee) was very friendly, attentive and offered enthusiastic and accurate reviews of the foods we asked about. And there was a calm, unrushed atmosphere in the place which was very much appreciated. I ordered the Mediterranean panini(freshly grilled chicken breast, melted mozzarella cheese, roasted peppers and spinach leaves with a pesto sauce). It was delicious. I am a hearty eater but half the sandwich went home with me. It was just too much for a lunch! That’s probably because this wonderful panini was served with a HUGE portion of seasoned French fried potatoes(the crispest and most flavorful I’ve tasted in many moons!), a tasty cole slaw and a pickle slice. I was also totally taken with the ambiance of this diner. It looks small and unimpressive from the outside but the space itself is quite large and bright and tastefully decorated. Also, it is VERY clean and well-cared for. I will definitely be back to the Red Bank Diner in the near future.

Quaint little Diner, quiet, great service, order Open Face Turkey Sandwich, Patty Melt, Chocolate Shake, all better then average, none was really exceptional, but good, need to go more for the homemade rather then your like cal Sysco rep, simple things like the gravy for your turkey, classic pre made. Overall was nice and enjoyed it!

I have become a fan. I held off writing a review earlier because of few things I didn’t like. That has been corrected. Service is much improved, competent and professional. Food items have improved. Most notably for me is the better soups and salads. I like the outdoor tables. Open for dinner, breakfast and lunch. Dinner is usually on the quiet side; but other times can be busy. Wraps, panini’s and bergers and very good.(Do not understand why diners do not always use fresh-cut French fries.) Breakfasts are good. Omlets are good: if you ask, they can manage to avoid browning the eggs. Favorite are the chicken soup. The new Mediterranean salad $ 13.95. Go for the marinated chicken. I often order the Spinach Pie served with soup and Greek salad $ 12.30. Been a regular here at the Red Bank Diner for about a year now. Our family were fans of the Broadway diner which is now closed; so the Red Bank Diner is in our new go to place for affordable family fair in Red Bank.

Terrible. Took 25 minutes to get my grilled cheese, bacon and tomato. Got my food and the tomatoes were yellow. Gross. Shouldn’t even serve them when they look like that. Asked for well done fries. Oh and they were so well done they put potato chips to so much shame I almost broke my teeth… and rather expensive for the quality of the food. Used to be happy with the service and food but there must be a new owner. Never again.

Typical NJ diner food. Very nice inside and the waitress we had was great. But, ordering fries on the side be prepared for a very large plate.

Solid dinner food. I have been taking my kids her on Sunday mornings and they are very accommodating. The entire staff is delightful and makes ur meal that much more enjoyable. The kids religiously get a short stack, 2 large pancakes. For a 6 year old your in heaven. Me 2 eggs over easy on corned beef hash. Yum. I am in food comma heaven! My only co plaint keeping from 5 stars, sometimes kids get strawberries on the pancakes, meal goes from 3.95 to 6.95 for a handful of cut strawberries. I thought that was a little much. All in all 3 kids and dad for 30 bucks not too bad.

Was there on Saturday after an event at the Y and found the food to be good! We were a group of 8 and all orders, but one, were delivered promptly and correct! The raw onion for the hamburger never arrived but in all honesty it appeared as though our server was working alone so this oversight was understandable. Overall I would visit again if I were in the neighborhood again.

The dining experience here was exactly what you’d anticipate from a three star review. The service was good, the food was average. The ambiance was pleasant. Little mix ups like giving somebody else the well done home fries peeved me to be honest. But it’s really not a big deal. Should you eat there? Eh, why not. Just don’t expect to be blown away by any element of your experience.

Old style. Good atmosphere. Full menu, like most diners. Fresh food. Don’t get the French onion soup. Everything else was good.

Love this little diner. It is way better than the Broadway Diner. The food is typical diner food, but the staff are friendly and accommodating. When we have asked to move tables to have more room, it is never an issue. I have only order breakfast foods, and it is always cooked exactly how I like it. Two thumbs up.

My girlfriend and I grew up in the area and then were back on a visit and stumbled across this gem. Better than broadway diner. The French fries were killer!

Before today, I would have agreed with every 5 star rating given to the Red Bank Diner. I ate here several times and recommended it to many friends. Today was my last meal here. I stopped in for lunch with my family. As we sat down we were entertained by the waitress and waiters having a verbal discussion about someone in the diner and it was clear to us as customers, they were not happy with someone who worked in the diner. After sitting down, the waitresses had to have a debate as to who would take our order, as one waitress was ready to leave. We were finally greeted by a nice waitress who took our order. When we received our dishes, I noticed there was something unusually about the circumference of my plate. As I dragged my finger around it and I noticed bumps on the dish… as the plate was dirty. I shared this with the waitress who touched the plate and agreed. When the waitress asked if I wanted to order something else, I politely declined since my meal was served on a dirty dish. She took my plate back and shared it with the diner Owner /Manager who was wearing a white shirt behind the counter. He took the plate into the kitchen and never came to our table to speak with me. The item was removed from my check and that was the end of it. Not once during our visit did the owner come to our table to discuss the dirty dish. This diner has great potential but the owner /manager is clueless in running a restaurant. They need restaurant 911 or restaurant impossible. It is clear the manager /owner has not been in the business too long.

The absolute best diner in Red Bank. The service is fantastic; the food is very well prices, and it is delicious! Although the Broadway Diner is more popular in Red Bank, the Red Bank Diner is the superior diner.

Ate here on a Wednesday morning in mid November. As others have said, nothing on the outside indicates this is a typical New Jersey diner. Breakfast was well prepared and served quickly. Service itself was excellent. Diner was very clean inside. It is a bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth the visit.

Standard diner, but I prefer this one to the Broadway Diner closer to downtown RB. Though this one is slightly less charming, in that diner-y way, it’s cleaner, the service is friendlier, & the food is less greasy. Lots to choose from, decent diner ambiance, & a killer breakfast menu. There’s also plenty of parking in this area of RB, a little but removed from downtown. Great for breakfast(or breakfast for dinner!) &, I think, particularly good for midday business meetings over lunch.

Good standard diner. Cleaner than the other diners in downtown Red Bank. A bit further down the street than most of the other dining, but you can park way easier than you can in the rest of red bank. Not open super late so be sure to check the closing time of its late.
