Living in the area for over 40 years I have been here for myself and for many family members from wonderful things like new family members coming into the world, surgery, illness and loosing a loved one. EMERGENCYVISITS– We all know Emergency room visits are for extreme pain or illness which needs immediate assistance. Usually happens at night or on a holiday when our primary care physicians are not in the office and a walk in clinic won’t due. If you are a walk in go through the doors to the emergency room lobby and you are immediately greeted by reception, shortly after you are taken into a room for medical history and then brought to a room where nurses evaluate you and then you wait to be seen by a doctor. The last couple times I’ve been pretty impressed by how fast the process has gone, but I’ve also been here at times when it was an extreme wait. It just depends what you come in for, as back pain is less priority than someone having chest pain. If you are taken in by ambulance, treatment is immediate. I have always found the emergency room nurses to be very kind and compassionate in care. HOSPITALSTAY — I have experienced very good and bad care during hospital stays for family. Strongly suggest if you have a family member who is too ill or weak to speak for themselves that you make sure someone is always there to advocate for them. Hospital rooms are clean, some depending on floor are dated and some are newer. Food use to be much better as last year they switched food services. We have had nurses who are amazing(75%) and others who shouldn’t be allowed to care for anyone because they don’t care. SURGICALDAYSTAY– I’ve been a patient and been with a family member having same day surgery. Allowed one family member to be with you, they provide lockers for personal items. You will be called the day before and told when to arrive for your procedure. I have found nurses here to be really great and on top of your needs. There is a family waiting room and the doctor will usually come in there or call on the phone to let the family know how things went. Family members should provide a cell phone to the person at the desk if you are going to step out. RADIOLOGY/TESTING– lower level. The people at the desk are great and really help you out to get the paperwork done for your test. Everyone here has always been terrific and caring. Before leaving get your free parking token from the reception desk in the main lobby. There is also free valet parking available, just tip the attendant.

The staff in this hospital is outstanding… My elderly mom was here a few months back– I couldn’t have asked for better nurses & other staff… Thank you!

This review is for walk in x-rays. Four kids plus lots of sports equals many possible fractures and breaks. The wait isn’t usually too bad and the radiologists are very nice. The waiting space has a beautiful view of the river and there’s a Dunkin Donuts inside.

They were very friendly, clean, and seemed very competent. I felt at ease in their ER Nd felt like I was taken care of and didn’t need to worry. Everything was taken care of and they never showed any impatience when I unloaded a bunch of questions on them. They were thorough in explaining what follow up care I would need.

This place is great. Your in and out in a jiffy from the ER, as well as great personalities from the staff. They are great to deal with and very polite. The pediatric ER is so calm for the kids. I brought my 10yr old here, who was stressed out, and they put her at ease. The best in the area. I only gave 4 stars since we were only here for an hour and a half, tops!

There was one good doctor in the ER and one great nurse on the floor. Overall the ER was not the typical mask your symptoms with medication and send you home. They were interested identifying the problem. Service was slow, communication to patients and each other poor with many redundent questions. This hospital has many staff that work so routinely that they seem to forget about the people they are helping and their emotions. A patient advocate should be available 24 hours a day. Compassion rating was 1 Star out of 5. No whoops, I am sorry I missed the vein and made you bleed on the floor. In all fairness… they are short on supplies and their staff is over-assigned. The overall cleanliness was fair and the facilities are dated. In addition, the accent of many doctors and nurses made communication difficult at times.
