Best place for sandwiches and breakfast for the last 30 something years! This place is well known for its delicious deli meat and thick delicious sandwiches. Used to be you can order a sub from them and split it with somebody and both of your full!
I go there every single morning. Never boring always delicious.

wanted to like this place– but sub was $$$ for the quality. I don’t get the whole appeal of the GIANT stuffed sub if that’s all it is– I’d rather save a buck or two and get a normal sized one with great fixings.

I go to Slaters every Sunday morning for a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. I’ve tried all the other «bagel» places, but Slaters does it best. Now only if they would put an effort for some decent coffee.
As a side note, their pork roll, egg and cheese is humongous. A little too big for a morning meal for me.

New owners and it isn’t a good thing. I ordered a tuna melt and it was really dripping with mayo, had almost no cheese and tasted old. The charged 8.95 for it and it was not worth it. Also said it came with pickles and coleslaw but I didn’t receive it.

I can’t believe that I never heard of this place until an old high school friend mentioned about it when I asked FB people for their recommendation on where to get a pork roll sandwich even though I grew up in NJ until after college. I had an opportunity to get it while visiting my parents so here I was. We did get hesitate to give this place a try when we saw this building but we went for it because we wanted to stay local. Chris had an Italian sub (oh, so huge!!!) and he said that it was the best Italian sub ever. The pork roll sandwich– I couldn’t believe that I totally missed out on it! Go and give this place a try! I should add that it is a super friendly service!

Chicken salad on whole wheat is amazing — but don’t forget to ask them for a plastic fork considering your sandwich will consist of 4lbs of chicken salad gushing out of 2 pieces of soft delicious whole wheat bread — very delicious! Oh and the for ultimate hangover remedy, get their pork roll egg and cheese for an indulgent greasy taste of heaven! Fuck yea!
