Decided to try La Estancia after recommendation from a local. After living in NM for 15 years, this was not Mexican food! It reminded me of food served from cans! I ordered a taco that came with a prefab’d hard shell from a box, the ground beef was from a bag, the beans from a can. Service was good, but food was tasteless. I have read other reviews here ranking it excellent, but I have to assume these reviewers have not really tasted true Mexican food! I won’t return.

Food is good! Like everything in Red Bay, you cannot get hung up on the décor. This restaurant has good food, excellent service and the buffet is fresh. Within walking distance of the Tiffin campground so you don’t have to drag out your car. Recommended for hearty lunch.

Pleasantly surprised by the good food at this little restaurant! Doesn’t look like much but the food was excellent. We shared Fajitas for two. While it wasn’t on the menu we wanted a chicken and shrimp combo and they were glad to accommodate. We were celebrating a birthday so they brought us a special Mexican Sundae. It was delicious!

We love the Mexican buffet 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. At noon it’s crowded with Tiffin employees. But you won’t find a better selection and tastier food, for the price of $ 9.99. Always go here when we are in Red Bay for service on our motorhome.
