It isn’t great, but it doesn’t suck. Overall the prices were high for the quality of food.

We stopped for lunch and was not disappointed. I had the turkey burger and onion rings; they were both delicious. My husband had the chef salad which was not anything out of the ordinary but substantial.

Expensive for frozen food dropped in fryers. Keep walking & you’ll come across better.

A small classic American tourist diner. They serve burgers, hot dogs, frito pies, and basically the All-American fried diet of tots, fries, jalapeño poppers in standard fashion. The inside of the restaurant is ol’ timey biege, almost a working class décor for the working man stepping in with their mud-stained boots, frayed hat brims and large appetites. I ordered the Wild West burger with a butterscotch shake and tater tots. The shake shared more of a vanilla touch, but the consistency was good for a 80s summer day. The burger is essentially a patty melt, heavily butter toasts with nice plump onion rings. Reminds me of why I have fat on me, but it was worth it. Tots were lightly salted, which was a first for me in a long time. The frying consistency perhaps the best part, crumbling away at each bite. Even a bee hung around and nibbled at my brother’s hot wings he ordered. Great place to stop by while going through Red River.

Great little place to eat. They serve a little bit of gluten free options! They now have dipped cones, too.

Popular place at lunchtime – we got in just before the crush. Returning from a 3-day backpacking trip in the Wheeler Peak wilderness, my husband and I were craving a good hamburger and a cold drink. I’d say the burgers here would give those at any of the more upscale places a run for their money – they were big, juicy, and well-flavored. That, and the malted chocolate milkshake were just what I needed after living on dehydrated camp food for 72 hours. Service was friendly and fast.

I am a Texan by heart and I live here in Red River now to fulfill my childhood dream! This is an excellent place to eat and the burger’s are great! Fries too! Shakes too! Food reminds me of the 60’s! And they are reopening today for the new season! I can’t wait for a burger!

Food was ok mainly fried food and burgers. They are going out of business on the 17th and it seems like they are definitely finishing off there inventory before they close

The burgers here are great, gotta have the onion rings too. All cooked to Order The current owners are moving out(opening a new place In Idaho) and the land lord taking over. I sure hope the land lord can do as well. They have a lot the live up too!

The burgers here are made fresh – cooked after you order. I disagree with the review that says the food is like Brazier corporate. The burgers here do not taste like fast food. The burger is large and flat with a good, soft bun. It had gooey melted cheese, too, as well as fresh tomatoes(also unlike most fast food places). The fries were good but the tator tots were great(both needed a sprinkle of salt for my taste which I don’t mind adding myself). The shake was good enought but nothing special. I would definitely eat here again.

There aren’t that many places in Red River to eat and this one came recommended by Unilocal. They have quite a few choices(burgers, chicken) and shakes. We decided to go with the tortilla burger adding green chile and holding the pickle, with sweet potato fries. We also ordered a chocolate milkshake. The burgers are cooked to order and they also blend your shake just for you. The burger had a good flavor, the chile was nice and spicy, the tortilla was a good size for the burger(there wan’t lots of excess folded over) — I would recommend this burger . The shake wasn’t as good, it was made with Hershey’s syrup(which my wife likes, but I find kind of gritty) I saw them make it — so I know it was«hand spun/made», but it just wasn’t that tasty.

Have green chile cheese burger with French fries and large diet coke(I know :-)) 3 to 4 times a year when I visit Red River. Price and service are tops! Be sure to stop in when you’re in a hurry or just don’t want the hassle of the other places.

Stopped here as we were driving through Red River. It seems like a copy cat of a Dairy Queen Brazier, but not as good. Didn’t have hardly any ice cream/shake options on the menu which seemed odd for a place called the Dairy Bar. Not my favorite place I’ve ever been too, but it’s ok.

If you are in Red River, you must eat at least one meal or snack here. Burgers are good, shakes are handmade. Service is excellent. The place is spotless.

Had a cheeseburger all the way plus green chilies. It was amazing! The green chilies were actually grilled, so made the burger something special. I would so stop by again if I were here more than one day.

I don’t know how you could give this place anything but 5 stars. Decent prices(by Red River standards anyway), friendly counter service, perfect après ski grub. Definitely suggest a visit here for all visitors.

The Dairy Bar is your typical burger joint with extra good burgers and fries. There are burgers, chicken tenders, fried seafood, burger specials, fries, onion rings, fried veggies, hot dogs, corn dogs, red & green chile, chili cheese fries, nachos, and the Red River Avalanche(their version of a Dairy Queen Blizzard or McFlurry). I had the cheeseburger and fries — yum! The fries were thicker than your normal fast food place and had a nice sprinkling of salt and pepper. The burger patty was thin and the sandwich veggies were fresh. Good fast food and a good price. They cook your burger when you order it so you might have to wait a minute, but it’s worth it.
