Red Lobster

This has to be my 100^th meal here, and they were all great! And the service was super.

Like most corporate chains, you can always expect at least a few dishes to be «not as good as last time,» and my experience here was no different. Everyone in my family had at least one thing messed up on their plate except for me (sirloin was overcooked, wrong sides, pasta was a bit cold, etc.), my dish was average. Nothing wrong with it.
We had to say something to our server, and when we did, he was very attentive and quick to resolve it as best as he could. We were given a family & friends discount on the entire check, which we all thought was fair.
The reason this place gets 3 stars instead of 2 is ONLY because our server, Jacob, was one of the better servers I’ve had in a while (and I serve tables myself). We were celebrating my little brother’s college graduation, and he seemed genuinely excited as he went on to describe his experiences with kids from the same university, etc. He was very humorous and just brought good vibes from start to finish, while simultaneously being very knowledgeable about the menu and pointing out the best deals for what we were looking for.

Ordered the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake to go. Outstanding! The meal was ample enough to split with my wife.

My wife and I came in to have drinks and appetizers and dinner. We sat at the bar and Bobby Was running the bar and was very charismatic and charming. Next time when we come to Red Lobster we are asking for Bobby. Excellent service! Food was delicious by the way we had clams and oysters !!!

Went in for dinner last night and had Kelli for our server. Food was great and at a great price. Looking forward to going back

5 stars because our server Nicholas M. was the best. Seriously just blown away by his customer service and hospitality. It’s hard to find really good service, let alone service you write a Unilocal review about… If your looking for good food and even better service then go to red lobster!!!
On a side note, as I was getting ready to walk out the door and leave I asked the hostess to talk to a manager about the amazing service I had just had. I watched her page her 3 times and after waiting a few minutes I left because she never came to the front 3÷6÷16 (afternoon)

Had stayed away for 3 years after an unpleasant experience. This visit was completely different. Food was great and the server, Caitlin, was friendly and professional. We’ll be back.

Went to RL when they first opened many years ago and did not like what tasted like frozen lobster and artificial butter. Thoughts were to never return. Well, a nephew wanted to eat there and so we caved it… worse than the worse!!! The salad and cheese biscuits were very good… so were the beverages. STOP there though. My husband ordered some salmon dish and could not finish because it was too oily with the «butter» and the flavor was poor… no flakiness to the salmon, it was very soft. My nephew and I had the lobster with the corn on the cob and golden potatoes. I had 4 bites of the lobster, 3 bites of the corn, 2 bites of the potatoes… thought I was going to gag on the oiliness of it all! NO flavor. There was no less than ¼″ of oil on the bottom on of dish for which all of this was laying on. TO TOP IT OFF… the bill was $ 90.88!!! No dessert! Service very attentive and friendly. When we looked around, the place was packed!!! I don’t get it. Oh well, bon appetit to those who enjoy!

My drink never showed up nor did my appetiser. The food is GREAT but the complete lack of passion around customer service is too much to give a good review. I will try again and hopefully can update the score. I really love the food…: (

Waitress were busy. But dishes came not slow. Basically we are satisfied with the food.

Came here with family today.
Food was reallllly good. We got a bunch of food, and it was all delicious and flavorful. Especially the calamari, with the amazing fried broccoli. Dessert, which we usually never order, was great. The amazing ice cream with caramel and the hot apple pastry.
The service was great, and the waitress was super nice. Although we did get an order wrong, which was fault on both sides.
Overall would definitely come here again.

Another perfect «Late Lunch» meal! We always have the Best Service at this Red Lobster location! This visit we had Katie as our Server. She was prompt, returned to our table often, very pleasant. Basically perfect «Waitstaff» service in every way!
My Hubby ordered the Admiral’s Feast and loved it all! I ordered the Seaport Lobster & Shrimp (usually order King Crab) and it was SO YUMMY! My new «fav» :)
We definitely took enough home for another meal and Katie was sure to add a bag of their delightful Cheddar Biscuits to our «Take Home Bag»!

Came in on Valentine’s Day for dinner with my family and was told there would be a 15 minute wait which actually was only about 5 which was awesome. We were seating and greeted right away and our server answered all of our questions. Our severs name was Brenda and she was amazing. Always coming to make sure we have everything we needed. She was very on top of her job and seemed to enjoy it as well. She even gave my two year old ice cream, after making sure it was okay with me and my daughter loved it and even gave Brenda a hug.
Brenda is the biggest reason I am giving this 5 stars because she was amazing. Plus the food was good and not having eaten to much seafood before she helped me choose something I would like and it ended up being great.

Thought we better dine here before the Endless Shrimp ends in November. So glad we did. The coconut shrimp bites and sauce were great as always, baked potato fresh and hot, tried the cole slaw (first time) and not bad.
As for service… our waitress Raven was wonderful!!! Very friendly, knew the menu extremely well, made suggestions, refilled our drinks promptly without us asking, etc.
And even offered to box our take home. We have dined at the redding location a few times and never had been asked this before.
Overall… 5 stars!!!

Considering that this is a corporate restaurant, I was very impressed. I must admit that I had low expectations to begin with and that I was only going to appease my girlfriend’s seafood appetite. But I was surprised. The décor and ambiance was clean and cozy. Raven, our server, was very attentive, charming, polite, and provided us with everything we wanted. This service was excellent, as was the salmon, the burger, and the clam chowder. For the price, it was a great value deserving all 5 s. We’ll be back to review again on a busier weekend night to see if they can maintain the quality under stress.

Bread

I’d rather go to The Lighthouse…
The service runs to the mediocre, but that was not the worst part. The worst part is the food. I do not remember the name of the plate/​diner I ordered, but it was so over cooked and salty, it might as well have been cardboard. Salted cardboard is what I will call it.
The bread was good, but in the many times I’ve let others convince me to come here, I have never been served more than one piece. Thought they were supposed to bring more, but whatever.
Only once have I gotten good service here and I was with a young woman that everyone seems to want to please.
Oh, and if you order crab… Don’t be surprised when you don’t get a single claw…

Judging from the reviews, it seems as though we dined at a different restaurant! We decided to give Red Lobster a try as we were influenced by a relative who talked this place up. My dad had the Ultimate Feast, my mom had the lobster over sirloin, and I had the grilled mahi-​mahi and shrimp with pineapple salsa… different dishes though all similar in taste due to the way salt overwhelmed any other flavor that would allow us to distinguish these dishes more clearly. It was like pouring salt straight from a shaker onto your tongue, and since everything we had, from the biscuits, to the appetizer, to our entrees was saltier than potato chips, we were almost afraid to order dessert. Thankfully the cheesecake isn’t salty!
Fortunately, we tend to be good-​humored about situations like this one and decided, facetiously, that perhaps we should suggest they make their food a bit saltier. Anyone who saw me laughing on my way out likely thought that I enjoyed my time at Red Lobster, however I was really laughing at the food. One star for the restaurant that almost assuredly uses the most salt in Redding and an added star for the pleasant service.

We went to Lighthouse last week. It was the worse ever. Dirty floors greasy tables and I got sick from the oysters, (I left a review.)
Red Lobster is the bomb. I had the Admirals platter and my husband had the Ultimate Feast. And cheddar bay biscuits of course. They even gave us some to take home. Yummy.
Our server was Caitlin. She was very good. Thank you Caitlin.
