If my review was only based on the selection here, I would give it 5 stars but there are several reasons why I can’t do that . The owner, though knowledgeable is somewhat off putting. She doesn’t like you to try on clothes she thinks won’t fit you, she also follows you throughout the store and has a bad attitude overall. Once I went in and tried on about 5 items and only 1 fit and she seemed very mad. What are fitting rooms for anyway lady? The second time I went in, she not only followed me but wouldn’t let me hold anything. The third(and sad to say last) time I went in, which was very recently, she not only followed me but my(63) year old mother around the store. She didn’t say hello or try to help us or smile once. Lucky for her, she has hired an assistant or something(a red head) who was really really nice and I managed to stay in the store long enough to be willing to buy one item with her help. The store was a mess, she didn’t seem like she wanted to sell ANYTHING(everything is overpriced for what it is) and the owner just has a bad attitude overall. I buy, sell and design vintage and designer stores and shop in cities such as SF, New York and Los Angeles and am usually greeted with a smile and good attitude when I visit small boutiques but this store and experience left me with a bitter taste. The thing that bothered me the most is that I could have purchased every item I looked at but she treated not just me but my very kind mother like a thief before knowing anything about us. Redding is full of many charity thrift stores, full of very friendly and kind people… I vote with my wallet and will NOT be supporting this local business and would hope others that have similar experiences will share.

This quaint little store off Cypress is a surprise for Redding and I am a life-long vintage fan. The hippy owner, a little«ouchy» knows her vintage stuff. You can even get alterations done here very reasonably. For the square footage she has an amazing selection of clothing and really shines in the formal and accessory department. Not a good place to bring your kids, stop by when you have time to look around and try it on! Also bring your wallet because the prices are high for«vintage» not thrift items.

I went in Retro Rampage for the first time today. I will totally be going back. I, too, was surprised to find such a cool store in Redding. They really had a lot of great vintage stuff in pretty good condition at pretty reasonable prices. You know how a lot of times in «vintage» stores, it’s a lot of boring junk you don’t want that looks all the same… but not here. I urge you to check this place out!

Great store, great pieces. The owner really knows her stuff. For average Redding people, the prices may seem slightly steep. In a bigger city, amongst vintage clothes connoisseurs, the prices are probably quite acceptable. But I digress. I enjoy Retro Rampage. I’ll be back.

I am absolutely in love with this place. I have driven by this place a few times but haven’t had the chance to stop and look… I’m very glad I was able to today! Redding should be very proud that it actually has a good vintage clothing store. Not to mention, one that is decently priced! Obviously some things I thought were a little too much, but maybe that’s just because we’re all a little strapped for cash. Also – I loved that all the pricetags had dates on them. It was nice to know what time period the clothing/shoes/jewelry/purses etc were from. Awesome music playing! Overall the atmosphere was great! I loved the layout of the store as well as the tiny details, such as that cute little magazine with Justin Timberlake on the cover, tucked away near some shoes. Yay!
