Decided to try this on my way home tdy ordered 3 carnitas tacos. Got them home bit into them and they all tasted terrible. old cabbage, storebought taco shells. Meat was ok. Very suprised at how bad they where based on other Unilocal reviews. I might give it one more chance.

Romos tacos is by far the best taco truck in Redding. In fact, they are better and more authentic than most Mexican eateries in town. The tacos are simple with just meat, onion and cilantro. But bursting with awesome flavor! The meat is definitely the star! Not any cheese or other toppings to cover it up. Just awesome meat flavor. And like others have said, if you are worried about eating from a hole in the wall looking food truck and location, just check out their county health inspections. They are nearly perfect. I have been eating there for around 8-years, and it is always consistently good!

Looking for excellent tacos, burritos, the whole enchilada, without breaking the bank, even your piggy bank, then visit Romos tacos. Delicious especially if you like authentic Mexican flavors with a big splash of cilantro. The location is a bit out of the way but definitely worth the trip and an easy detour off 273 if you’re heading south from Redding to Anderson via the scenic route. But stop before 5pm since the Romos food truck will be gone after that.

This is a delicious alternative to all fast good Mexican restaurants in Redding. I really enjoyed the tacos and the tostada. This is no-nonsense Mexican. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quick and delicious lunch. I only wish this taco truck was located downtown. I think I would eat there 3x a week, if it was.

I have eaten off your food truck several times. The last 2 times I got supped sick. You should change your name to burning liquid stool!

Wow Wow Wow. I had his lengua super burrito today and it was the best I’ve had in Redding. Well, of course, its hard to find lengua — which was so tender — and — no skimping here — loaded with everything. Everything is so fresh. I will be going back to try a torta and i want the tamales.

Without a doubt, the best taco in town. His burritos are equally as good. Beans and rice are very good. Probably the most authentic in Redding. Downside is the area. Not a good side of town.

It’s meh… his tacos would taste better if he had a 12 for $ 10 deal.

Four stars for as good as it gets for a Redding food truck serving Mexican food. Located in a parking lot on Westside Road between the Capri Motel and Northern Roots is Ramo’s Tacos. .. a food truck serving Mexican food. Open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. until 2. Closed Sunday. GETTHIS: A meat taco. . buck twenty-five. Canned soda. .. a buck. For three bucks fifty cents: two tacos and a canned drink. My favorite. Romo’s serves a variety of Mexican food like tamales, burritos, tostadas… etc. You can take it to go. Eat it in your car or on the tailgate of your truck. Ramo’s also has a table and chairs for four just waiting for you. Don’t let the ghetto location fool you. It’s safe. No need to strap on the 357 magnum and practice growling, «So, are you feeling lucky, punk?» to come eat here. The locals who hang at the Capri don;t congregate around the truck and won’t pester you for a handout but they do make for interesting people watching as they walk by on the sidewalk. An occasional train passing by also makes eating at Ramo’s entertaining. Ramo’s serves great food. .. about as close to authentic Mexican as you can find in Redding. For those hesitant in buying food in this part of town and from a less than upscale food truck, check out Ramo’s environmental health inspections on the County of Shasta website. About as close to squeaky clean as you can get. Ramo must be doing something right. He and his wife have cooked in this location for three years and stay in business. The parking lot is filled about noon and later with blue collar, Joe Six Pak dudes who know their Mexican food and keep coming back for it. If you’re looking to eat on the cheap and want very decent Mexican food, this is the place. Try it once and you’ll be back for more. And this is my story and I’m sticking to it.
