Love this place! Really delicious foods and super friendly service. The lentil salad is something I could eat every day. I challenge anyone to go in there and try to buy nothing. Any choice is a good one!

This is a deli type place with only 2 tables but man, is the food good! Counter staff was upbeat, helpful and friendly. Think I may have seemed a little gruff at first(just my nature rather than an attitude) but they worked with me and made me feel welcome there. I left full of really nice food and feeling happy. I had lentils, falafel sandwich and some tabouli. It was truly outstanding. I will go back before this trip is over. The place was also clean, bright and well maintained.

Sorry Hamido. Beirut Bakery nails it. The best shawarma, salads, pita, in Metro Detroit. It’s not a restaurant, it’s a bakery. So Hamido is safe. The quality of food and service in this place is unmatched. It’s not a sit down restaurant so they don’t have to compete with full service. And the food selection is not quite as extensive. But everything is fresh, and they do run out. You came here for the food, but take some bread with you. Very clean, safe area, limited parking. But I’ve had trouble finding a place. Try the sandwiches and the salads. Skip dessert. The mujadara and cooked green beans go fast. They have a frequent sandwich card. Buy ten get one free.

They say that Disney is the happiest place on earth. Well, I say Beirut Bakery is the happiest place on earth! The staff in this place is exceptionally happy and sweet. I’ve lived in Redford my whole life but just started going to Beirut Bakery about 5 years ago and couldn’t believe I had missed out on this all of these years. I promise if you go there it will brighten up your whole day! The food is phenomenal. Best shwarma around. The fattoush salad with chicken is so big it will feed two people. This really is a hidden gem in kind of the middle of nowhere. They sell bottles of their salad dressing in the store so I brought One to work a while ago. Now the girls I work with can’t get enough of it. They call it the” crack” dressing. Lol

My all time favorite place to get food. The ONLY place I get my chicken shwarmas from. Everything is so fresh and delicious and cooked with love(and good for you too!) No preservatives. Many tasty vegetarian/gluten-free choices available also! :) stop in, you won’t regret it! Also, they have a wonderful sandwich — card program — only $ 1 to activate and it never expires. Every ten sandwiches you buy, you get one free. Who doesn’t love free food? Especially free DELICIOUS food?! Worth every penny!

Had the Mjedera Salad(warmed up) with the cold cabbage salad on top. Delicious! Main course was the chicken shawarma, which was terrific thanks to the pickled turnips. Very friendly service as well. Try it out!

Amazing shawarma! I have been to the Middle East and the shawarma here is legit! I look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Very sweet staff and good salads and sandwiches, but more expensive than regular Middle Eastern restaurants. Beef shawarma $ 5.99 per sandwich where normally other places sell it for $ 3.99 or max $ 4.99. Salads are sold by the pound not by sizes. Way over staffed, that’s a good thing.

Very fresh, extra friendly staff and samples of anything you haven’t tasted. Great place, this is really a hidden gem. If a coworker hadn’t told me about this place I probably never would’ve tried it. I had the Fattoush Salad which was extra fresh(posted a pic) and a chicken shawarma which is not the usual dark meat, here it is a white meat shawarma. Everything was delicious.

This is a great place to purchase Mediterranean food by the pound and its awesomely delicious. I eat a lot of veggies and hummus and mostly have to find a restaurant that sells it and it can get to expensive. The prices here are great. I love the baba ghanouj and garlic sauce along with there meat pies. They also have fresh to order food as well which I am going to try soon.

This place is amazing! Best chicken shawarma I’ve ever had! The veggie shawarma is just as good. Definitely try the cashew fingers… delish! I haven’t tried anything that I didn’t like.

I think Beirut Bakery may have the best hommous in the world, seriously. Besides the hommous, everything there is wonderful. My family has been eating food from Beirut for about 17 years now and we are never disappointed. The food is always fresh and filling. The family who runs the bakery/deli really cares about their customers. They partially catered my sister’s bridal shower(we had some non Lebanese food also) a few years ago and everything was delicious! The staff helped us pick a tailored menu and provided lots of extras.

This is my new favorite place to eat by my house, hands down. I got a chicken shawarma, pita bread and garlic dip. I don’t know why some people say it’s pricey because for all of that I paid $ 8 and I’m not complaining at all. The shawarma hit the spot and I couldn’t even finish it all because I was so full. I work right next to Bucharest Grill and their food is pretty good but I definitely like these shawarmas better and will definitely be coming back.

The Beirut Bakery is a great place, one of my favorites to go on my lunch breaks. It’s set up like a grocery store deli. There are a couple tables, but I wouldn’t call this place a dine in restaurant. The service is still great and the girls behind the counter are really cheery and helpful. The place also operates as a mini grocery store for your Mediterranean cooking needs. I get the impression that all the ingredients are fresh and organic, at least that’s how all the food tastes. If you find yourself lost and confused, ask for a taste! It’s fun to be adventurous here because virtually everything tastes pretty good. Also, dare I say it, the best shawarma I’ve ever had.

I found my new obsession about 25 miles away from home. The saddest part is that I grew up only 3 miles away for the better part of my childhood! I remember having my first taste of Beirut pita from local grocery stores but it never expanded to the delicious middle eastern cuisine they offer until recently. Their garlic sauce is my favorite around — a fluffy and garlicky heaven. Their zaatar bread is an absolute delight to your taste buds. Combine those two items for a party in your mouth! They make a mean shawarma as well, my go-to is chicken. Complete with all the norms of a shawarma combined with lovely seasoned, juicy chunks of chicken. They have a frequent sandwich/shawarma club to purchase and after 10 you receive one for free; they could probably eliminate the costs of maintaining the frequency card by just using a punch card but it’s a quick way to make a couple bucks I guess. I’m also a fan of their chicken fattoush salad that’s full of lettuce, green pepper, marinated cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions with parsley and seasoned, grilled chicken. It’s a great size that lasts me two meals for ~$ 7.50. I’d choose this over a coney island greek anyday of the week! You can find some Beirut items at upscale grocery stores but the markup is stupid. I’d much rather drive out of my way to support their business.

Pros: The food is great and fresh. Particularly love the zataar, garlic sauce, and beef shwarma. Cons: Parking lot is just as authentic as one you’d find in the middle east. Upon getting a job in Redford I was super stoked. Upon discovering Beirut Bakery is a mile away I was ecstatic. I’m not big on Mediterranian-Middle Eastern-Lebanese food, but this place is one of the few exceptions. I’ve had some really good shwarma in New York and this ranks right up there. The service inside is great. The girls are always so nice and helpful. They always try to pair my food selections with a particular sauce or side, but I’m extremely picky so it never works on me. Even so, I eat it and pretend to like it because I don’t want to disappoint them. I used to buy their garlic sauce at Busch’s for an exuberant amount. So being able to get a huge container of it for only 2 – 3 bucks is awesome. Definitely worth the trip even if its a bit of a drive. Unfortunately the parking lot is kind of a joke. It’s tiny and has some decent craters, mixed in with a «hmmm, is this a curb or an entrance» thought every time I pull in. There is always open spots as it’s not a sit down place. I highly recommend this place to everyone. I don’t like to go into places not knowing anything about a type of food, but the workers are over joyed to help you and answer your questions.

Wow, what a find! I’ve been driving by this place for years — I’ve lived in Livonia most of my life and am pretty familiar with the I-96 corridor, but I’d never stopped in here until today. Absolutely killer shawarma, complete with pickled turnips(who else in Metro Detroit uses pickled turnips on their shawarma?). They were handing out samples of their lentil soup, which is to die for. I’m very pleased to find such a top-notch hole-in-the-wall-type place like this. They’ve been around since 1979, and their reputation is well-earned. I’ll be back, for sure!

They say every cloud has a silver lining… discovering Beirut Bakery is the silver lining in the cloud that is the I96 shutdown. Wow! What a selection. So far, I’ve only tried the m’jadra, the hummus, and the chicken shwarma. All are top notch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their products. I love patronizing places where the employees seem to love to be at work. For those of you who travel the I96 corridor from downtown Detroit to the western suburbs, this is a great place to grab dinner on the way home. Just be sure to get there before 6pm on weekdays, which is when they close.

I often stop by this great bakery on my way home from work and I love their friendly service. The young ladies behind the counter are always happy, friendly and helpful. My favorite thing from Beirut is definitely their tabbouleh. It is fresh, tangy and moist. I often order a container of it along with their hummous and the mini sized pita breads for a quick vegetarian dinner or to add to what I am preparing that night for dinner. Their baba ghannouj is nice and smoky and quite a good rendition of the dish. I also enjoy their spinach feta pies, they often do not survive the drive home ;) I am not as fond of their Lebanese pizza or their chicken vegetable soup; they were a little salty when I tried them, but that might just be my preference. Overall, this is an authentic, quality Lebanese bakery outside of the Dearborn/Warrendale area. It is definitely worth a try and prices are reasonable. Sahtein!
