Have been going here off and on since the eighties. Not much of a place to look at but I love the breakfasts. Homemade breads are great. Sausage gravy and biscuits on weekends is my favorite. The help has been here forever. Cash only business. Expensive is not a word to be used here. Try and make it at least once.

Absolutely delicious, the fried chicken and fish are delicious and so is the turkey dinner on Thursdays! The servers are only nice… Don’t forget they are CASHONLY!

Very cozy location, like a throw back diner right outside of the city. They have obvious regulars, a fun staff, and great food. Well, they have great breakfasts. I can’t speak to anything not on the breakfast menu. The homemade bread is always a big winner when I go with my girls-there’s usually hard feelings over who gets the last piece. Corned beef hash is fresh. Pancakes fluffy. And, they still use a corded wall phone. Classy.

This is an old fashioned great Redford place to go. Atmosphere is homey, service is great(after all when the waitress says«and a good morning to ya» you know you’re off to a good start. Comments about the homemade toast are true to par. Prices are reasonable and plenty of food on the plate.

What can I say! This reminiscent diner has very good homemade style food! After 14 years I still come here to get their 2⁄3 pound cheeseburgers! Only cons is that they removed jukebox, and seeburg consolettes from the booths. This gave it that 50’s — 70’s feel. Additionally could use som repairs. But all in all, this is a must try! You’ll love it!

Honestly one of dumpiest looking diners but they do their food right. Breakfast is phenomenal. Homemade toast is amazing. Décor is awful;) Been coming here since I was a baby. Literally I grew up across the street and the food has always been good. Only getting a 4 because it is so damn ugly in there ;)

Love this place. My mom brought us here as kids and now I bring my kids and grandbaby. The staff is great and the food is so good! Doesn’t accept anything but cash though.

Local greasy spoon. It’s really been hit or miss when we have come here, thus the reason for 3 and not 4 stars. It doesn’t stop us from going every once in a great while, but you can definitely find better.

I love this place. The regulars, the friendly staff, the smell of delicious food in the air when u walk in. It’s small only 10 booths and a few tables /bar stools. But ya know what. U come in. It’s quick greeting by a more than polite waitress. Clean table. Comfy older booths. You can smell the toast cooking, hear the spatula flipping the pancakes. It’s so comforting. I always being my girls here. They absolutely love the 1.2.3… One egg 2 bacon or sausage and 3 pancakes. Which are so big and flavorful. $ 3 for all that. Cash only… Leave a few bucks over when u come here. They are worth it! Mmm these hash browns smell yummy

Eating and reviewing… this place is great. You walk in and step back in time. Friendly service from when I walked in. I ordered the Canterbury special, a skillet of eggs, potatoes, sausage and gravy. Yum yum! Served with their homemade bread was just a perfect compliment. Bf ordered corned beef hash, grilled perfectly and tasted divine as well. Coffee flowing, big portions and yet I ate all my food. Sorry dogs. No leftovers like usual. This place is worth a try. Cash only like another reviewer mentioned. Highlight of my day to find a gem like this.

I wasn’t impressed by this place. It’s not terrible but it’s below average. The prices are pretty good but the food is bland. Warning: they’re cash only.

It was just ok, but I was pretty disappointed cuz the reviews had me thinking it was a hidden gem. French toast was plain.

Okay. Clearly this is not a 4-star establishment. As in some fancy schmancy place… But for a diner, a cheap-a-double diner… I’m a definite fan! They are a cash only establishment but they’ve got great service and regularly rotating specials every meal time! I think? Their homemade bread is excellent, and almost makes up for the fact that they don’t have whole wheat, or at least they didn’t the day I went. The hash browns always come with an option to add onion and peppers and are done to a point of being recognizable as potatoes, which I really enjoy. I went with one other person and we each had a full meal and the bill came up to less than $ 10! Seriously! This may be our new regular place. It’s not as ‘nice’ as the place we ‘used to’ frequent, but for what it is, it’s great! I feel like I“m rambling… :S FREEWIFI!

The atmosphere is cozy and homey. I wished the mini jukeboxes worked. Definitely great breakfast here. I order their reuben without the meat and hashbrowns with onions and green pepper. Yum. Charming waitstaff.

Amazing… Always delicious and cooked to perfection! They have a delicious homemade bread and if you’re lucky enough to get there before they run out for the day(baked fresh daily, I believe) you have to have it regardless of the meal you’ve ordered.

Thursday’s are«Turkey Day» here… The only place in the area that actually gives you the real turkey dinner and not the sliced BS. Delicious! High quality for cheap rates.

I love this place!!! My family, friends and I make it a point to go at least once a week! They have great homemade soups and food. Their fish is my favorite. We all get something different and share so we can get everything we want! You should def try it out. I wish they didn’t only except cash… but it is something I will deal with to eat there! AWESOME!!!

You’re in Redford now, baby! Only ONE review of The Palace?! This can’t be!!! There’s a freakin coat of arms on the side of the building, wood paneling and a mini suit of armor inside! They’re open 24 hours, making it the ideal spot to go after the Redford Theater or to hang out and hash out life for hours with your best pal. There are little jukeboxes on the wall in every booth that have been there the whole time, thank you. I have seen no less than two different Elvis impersonators eating there, one of whom my friend insisted on us giving a ride home to, but that’s another story. There is rubbery fish, a decent chicken salad, huge chunks of heavenly chocolate cake, a fryer that never sleeps, endless cups o’ joe and waitresses who call you«sweetie». Places like this must be kept alive at all costs in this homogenized world. At 11:45 p.m. on a Friday night there are bikers, men wearing flannel, Elvisi, post movie couples, teen parents, and hopefully you.

I have yet to see one of the Knights of the Round Table in here and I don’t think you could fit in one of the booths if you had a suit of armor on. They do have some interesting specials at times and the rest of the menu is good as well. One of the few places the has the old type juke box’s with the little song selection boxes at each booth. Odd now a day to hear a song skipping.
