Great food really great but, it’s a shame that the servers are so rude. It’s enough to make you feel unwelcome. Especially the older one with glasses and tattoos. Ruins the whole deal

I walked here from the beach and it’s exactly what I needed. Friendly, fast and delicious! I had the fresh snapper fingers lightly blackened and they were excellent. I highly recommend this little hole in the wall.

Almost missed this little restaurant just down the street on Gulf Blvd were it not for locals who know the best dining places and we’re kind enough to share their favorites. You will need to really look for their sign up ON the roof and the small nondescript entry door. When you walk in, ask for outdoor dining and you will be transported to another world – with breathtaking view of the intercostal and a gentle breeze. Then when you get around to ordering your food, get ready for really amazing flavors from the freshest catch of the day. Our favorites include grouper prepared in different ways. Service is friendly and fast. We’ve taken many out of town friends here and Wahoo delivers a good time.

A little hole-in-the-wall gem! We happened upon Wahoo after receiving horrible service at one of their nearby competitors. We never looked back! The food was seasoned well and the price point was spot on. We enjoyed their daily specials and thought everything we had was great. Would absolutely visit them again next time we’re in the area!

I come here 3 to 5 times a week… for what reason? The freshest ingredients in all the food. the price is right n these chefs know how to put a meal together with cast iron skillets to boot. if you love food with taste this is the place.

GREAT food — let’s put that out there. It appears there is just one guy cooking all the food in an open air atmosphere on cast iron skillets — now that’s some skill! Here’s what we tried: — fried oysters — excellent flavor & breading — very succulent — seafood bisque — nice spicy flavoring & tons of shrimp — bacon & shrimp mac & cheese — not my fave although it sounded so sexy — blackened shrimp — a great combo of blackened flavor and garlic — grouper sandwich — nice cornmeal breading that was light & tasty — fish was very sweet & lush And uh, yeah, it was just two of us SO, why 3 stars? The service. YES, this place is divey but that doesn’t mean the service should be slow, terse and slightly inept. It was busy at first but the traffic died out so I thought things might lighten up a bit. We ended up waiting 30 minutes to get our check and missed the sunset but hey, it was great company. However, most people would not have been as patient with the mishandling of the check, the orders, etc.

Would be 0 stars if it would let me. Horrible service it took forever to even get our drinks and even longer to get cold food. Not a very busy place either so I’m not sure what the problem was… sent my order back to the kitchen and went through a drive thru

New to the area so still in search of local haunts. Small menu. Seating inside in bar or a few tables out on the dock. Reasonable prices. Food was good-very good. Next time we would order one side to share as it was very large– tater tots. The blackened grouper was good. I thought it had a little too much spice. The other ordered philly which was quite good. Will return.

Absolutely delicious! We love this place. Absolutely everything about it is the best. Beach bar atmosphere, fantastic food, great service. Rock on Wahoos!

Great location, decent service and excellent food. It’s definitely a hole in the wall and it smelled like one too. I may return here for a quick lunch after the beach where I’ll be dressed appropriately for it, but I really question the cleanliness of this place, makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like …

Food was really good, but the service was poor. Parts of our meal were forgotten and she came around so infrequently that we were almost done eating by the time we could tell her. We also added up the check 3 times and somehow an extra 5 bucks was added? We were so over it we didn’t even bother. Disappointed, wish it was more positive considering all the stellar reviews.

Great grouper sandwich. It was all I could do to resist the fried oysters.

We eat here at least once a week. Food is always good. The menu is a little limited but you have to check the«daily special board». When an item on the board is gone, it’s wiped off the board. Just about everything is cooked on open flame or a cast iron skillet. The burgers are the best around. Grouper is always available and fresh. The fish comes right off the boats out back. You can get shrimp several different ways, blackened, fried, coconut. All good. The wait staff is fun and service is good. You can also sit at the bar and watch everything being cooked. There are tables outside by the water as well.

I had a most gloriously tasty meal. It was some kind of spin on Mac and cheese, but was made with shells and some kind of creamy cheese from Heaven. The noodles were so good, but my lactose intolerance did not appreciate my choice. Also, I had blackened shrimp which were all very tasty. Our service was okay, but everything else was awesome!

We’ve eaten here twice. Best food ever! Grouper, cobia, gumbo… it’s all delicious. You can watch them clean the fish in the back. So fresh. Salads are amazing. Craft beers on tap. Wines and full bar. Nice staff. Outdoor dining.

Food was just not good. Service was pleasant and attentive. Bread for grouper sandwich was rock hard. Cool slaw was very bland and had no sauce. Fish tacos were horrible. Wife’s fish was not cooked to order. Bathroom was disgusting and out of hand soap. Out of fish spread and no steamed shrimp. Also they only serve beer and wine no full bar.

Yummy lunch or casual dinner spot. It was recommended to us during some beach chitchat. Its a little hard to find amongst all the large signs and bold buildings, so keep your eyes peeled for the humble Wahoo’s sign. We were happily surprised that they carried one of our new favorites, a grapefruit beer, on tap. We sat out on a small casual outdoor dining area(dog friendly) and even spotted a few dolphins during the meal! Its laid back and they serve the day’s catch(mullet snapper), our server had a personality of her own and added to the whole experience. We ordered amazing seafood chowder that my mom and dad still won’t shut up about, a hefty dish ceviche, a burger so big that I still can’t believe I finished it, fish tacos, massive seasoned red royal shrimp, and some classic BBQ wings. The place had its quirks, but the food was great!

Hidden gem where the locals go. Been a few times and have tried Lots if things ranging from the Burger(moist, juicy, huge) to fried oysters(pump, tender, melt in your mouth good) and nothing ever dissapoints. Don’t be afraid of this place because of the décor, it’s super yummy and they have a great back patio/dock to sit outside.

Great spot for fresh seafood. Space for two boats on the dock. Trigger fish special is a can’t miss. Grouper sandwich is one of the best you will find on the beach. Very happy about the chili sauce served proudly beside tartar and cocktail… the missing link! Don’t be in a hurry. Just relax. Good times, great spot.
