Well, I used to work for Beth in 1977 or so. Just a kid and some of the best memories of my life. Her father was a great chef and I had the best 12 hours working there. She catered our wedding in 1988. She does an unreal effort and the food is amazing. I live in Houston and this place could make it here. What a great find. Beth might be the best cook that I have ever known. Please go try this gem. Such a find in a small town. Customer service is second to none. A true class act. Thanks so much for the memories and I remember the avocado and ritz crackers for us servers. Some of the best selection of menus from around the world. I wish Shambargers was in Houston. It would be $ 250 a person for sure. The Porsche club sure had fun there too. Jeff

Our second visit to the Bistro, on our 44th Wedding Anniversary. Sandy had the Lasagna and I had the Caribbean Jerk Meat Balls and Scalloped Potatoes. Both were fantastic. This Bistro is amazing and the staff is just as great. This is just as good if not better than any other fine restaurant in any large city. This place is a Jewel. The truly appreciate your business and it definitely shows. Also try their pastries are out of this world.

We had a party of 9 and were waited on promptly. Everyone ordered something different and loved their meal. The fresh breadsticks were scrumptious as were the cucumber appetizers. I had margarita pizza that was melt in your mouth yummie! Want to try the Hawaiian pizza next with pulled pork! This was an old bank redone so nicely into a bistro. You must try! Great service, wonderful food!

Located in a small town that seems to be slowly dying you’ll find a breath of new life. Like a flower growing up through the cracks in concrete. This little restaurant shows life and beauty can still be found if you take time to look. The first thing I noticed as soon as we got out of the truck was the smell of the smoke from their wood burning oven. I hoped this was a great sign of things to come. We were not disapointed. Upon entering we found a warm friendly atmosphere, with décor well suited for the restaurant. I felt as though the statement was relax and enjoy. The cloth table clothes truly impressed me. Our server was pleasant, and attentive without being over bearing, and made us feel welcome. Now as to the reason we were here, THEFOOD. I ordered the Margarita pizza. Simply put this was the best I’ve ever had. Somehow each ingredient seemed to elevate the other ingredients, as if to finish in a crescendo in my mouth. As good as this was it was not the best thing I tasted. My son ordered the blackened perch pizza. WOW! Suddenly this restaurant’s identity came to life. The pairing of flavors couldn’t of been better. This was even better than my Margarita pizza, but still not what had us talking for our hour drive back home. The cucumber squares, a simple appetizer ordered at the last minute that we saw on the blackboard was truly the hit of the night. I knew immediately upon first bite that this was something special. The flavors were amazing, but this was a journey of textures and temperatures. Biting in you begin with loose shredded cheese, hit the cool crispness of the cucumber, then the smooth silky crème cheese, then end with the warm crunch of thick toast. My only problem with this wonderful little place was the beer selection. A nice crisp ale would of taken everything to yet another whole new level.
