AutoZone

I would give a negative 5 stars if I could, they should close this store and fire all the employees, not friendly at all, and they could care less if you buy anything or not, I recommend either going to Star Auto Parts or AutoZone on Lugonia and Wabash!

Somewhat sketchy parking lot, with crackheads begging for money.

As a person who working in retail doing customer service, I know how supervision should treat their customers; with courteous service and a smile, demonstrating to other staff how a customer should be treated. That being said, the supervision at this Auto Zone has appalling customer service. Before going I called to see if they would be able to install a battery if I purchased one there. The man on the phone said yes and to come on in. After going in and purchasing a battery, the supervisor said that they did not have enough «man power» to install it for me. (Being that there were only two or three customers in the store with five workers standing around.) I left, to call what I thought was a nearby AutoZone, turned out I called the same one asking if they could install my battery I purchased from a different store. The lady on the phone said yes, so I used Unilocal to help me find the directions. Sure enough I was directed to the same one I was turned away from. Talking with the supervisor again, he was not apologetic, nor cared that his store and staff members have given me the big run around. He quickly mumbled the number of another store that could help, did not offer to write it down or make the call for me. This will be the last time I will ever step foot into this Auto Zone, and will be reporting my experience to the BBB as well. It was an awful experience that I did not expect coming from management. But I would recommend stopping by the Auto Zone and seeing Larry. Larry assisted me how a supervisor should. Being it was only him and another worker they quickly serviced their other customers to take care of the problem the other store created. I was in and out in less than thirty minutes and they even tested my system to make sure everything was ok. I would recommend going to 2052 W. Redlands Blvd. to have Larry serve you with a friendly smile and treat you will outstanding customer service.

At most times, they have better prices than Kragen and (often) Napa. Their online website also is easily navigable and up to date with their local stores’ supply.
The staff are 10x better than Kragen’s, knowledgeable and are very helpful and gets out of their way to help you.
They also have tools that you could use in the parking lot or you could «rent» out the tools for free.

Is a person really helpful if the store never has anything you need? Not the fault of the staff, just no aftermarket stuff for volkswagen except oil filters and such. Always feel disappointed.
