I love consulting for AMAXRA. Here’s why: 1.) For onboarding, it is very easy to get started. It’s straight forward. It was less than 2 days end to end. 2.) The billing/​invoicing process is very timely. There hasn’t been a case of any delayed payments. A plus! 3.) You get an opportunity to build your own work portfolio with great incentives. 4.) You have options given AMAXRA’s breadth portfolio pipeline. 5) I recently won a Vegas trip courtesy of AMAXRA. 6.) Learning/​Networking with other AMAXRA consultants. We get together every 6 weeks to connect.

I was referred to Amaxra by a close friend and must say that I was very disappointed with them in regards to my interactions. My initial interaction was great, I was in close communication with Ali who works in Operations and set up my in initial interview with Mike Arntzen. That is where it goes down hill, straight down…
I was interested in possibly pursuing an opportunity with Microsoft doing consulting on projects, and was unfortunately placed to interview with Mike Arntzen their Consultant Relations & Technology Manager. I went into this interview with an open mind as I approach every new opportunity.
From the moment I walked in the door Mike was anything but impressive. When I shook his hand he remained sitting in his chair, as if it was an inconvenience for him to stand and greet me.
As Mike began to ask me questions he made little to NO eye contact with me. That is one of my biggest pet peeves, eye contact shows interest, intelligence, and respect. Apparently, Mike does not feel it is important to portray these things as a manager in an interview or interaction with people. The very worst part was that he ordered french fries, proceeded to cover them in ketchup and salt and stuff his face while I spent the next hour in misery. He made sure to eat up all of the salt left in the basket while licking his fingers.
I was completely unimpressed by Mike’s behavior and it’s a shame that this company would chose this individual to represent them. I always send followup/​thank you notes following interviews and introductions, this is the first time where I felt that it would be inappropriate to thank him, as I was completely relieved when I was able to escape the whole scenario.
My experience and connection with Microsoft is fairly large, I have a lot of individuals in my network as well as my husband that work for them. I must say that this was the very first negative association that I have seen in connection with this highly respectable company. I am very disappointed with the representation of management that this company has chosen by hiring Mike.
I wish this company all the luck and hope that others have a more positive experience than myself.
