On behalf of all pregnant ladies out there, looking to get things feeling better while you’re growing a human, give Bear Creek Chiropractic Center a try. I had massive sciatica pain and lower back pain during the last four months of my pregnancy. Guy really helped ease my pain. The best part about coming here is seeing Jennifer! She is sweet, and very accommodating when it comes to squeezing you in for last second adjustments.

I have been going here for a few months now and feel much better. I have had chronic neck pain and wrist pain and Dr. Guy is really helping me. They are great at working you in and spending the time you need to feel better. The massage is amazing, too. I am enjoying being a patient and working my way back to better health. I love the personal touch they provide and the way they remember all the details between visits. Very thorough!

He welcomes walk-​ins and accommodates you even on his busy days. He stays later than most places — 6:30 — 7 pm. Unfortunately closed on Thursdays.
His bedside manner may be off putting for some. He is upfront to the point of brutally honest. I can handle that and prefer that. He’s also funny when you get to know him. I’ve seen him on and off for so long that he’s more of a good friend now.
When you call during regular business hours, his receptionist answers on the first ring. Sometimes it doesn’t even ring before she picks up! Always efficient and friendly. You can always tell how well employees are treated by the way you are treated.
This is a small place. There’s a tiny play table for a kid in the reception. A massage chair to the left of the door as you walk in. There’s onsite massage but I haven’t tried her yet.
I would recommend coming here.

Let me be honest, I have never «believed in» chiropractors before. But while training for a ½ marathon, I ended up injuring my foot. I went to physical therapy, had it x-​rayed, got new shoes, new insoles, ice, rest… everything. Nothing was working! I decided to try Dr. Backstrom, and after my first appointment, the pain in my foot was gone! I was able to run my first 2 miles in 4 months. I returned for a couple more adjustments since my tendons and muscles in my feet and legs were adjusting to the new position.
I have to say, Dr. Backstrom fixed me. I’ve finally been able to get back to my training after months of frustrating pain and frustrating rest. I’m still amazed at how I’m able to push my training and get back to living life.

I’ve been to 3 different chiropractors, and I definitely like Dr. Backstrom at Bear Creek Chiropractic the best. I feel like Dr. Backstrom assesses my condition very honestly, neither exaggerating or understating it. He’s given me a couple of really effective practices to improve my condition, and I can tell the difference after a couple weeks of following them. I also really like how flexible they are with appointments. Last, both Guy and Jen are super friendly.

I don’t even know where to start with how awesome Dr. Backstrom and Jennifer are! From the moment I walked in the door the first time to when I left I really felt like the problem I was having with my back could be fixed. I fell down three stairs and onto a stair landing back in January this year on my left side. I didn’t experience any pain at all until about 2 – 3 days later. The pain was so bad I immediately went to the Emergency room to get an MRI. The MRI showed no disc herniation and only mild inflammation. My regular Doctor prescribed Ibuprofen and Methocarbamol which I ended up being on for over 6 months. I was prescribed intense physical therapy which did not help, weekly massages, and acupuncture. All of which was like a band aid and didn’t get to the root of my problem. I had shooting pain down my left side daily and all the time. I was given advice on stretches, foam rolling, and nothing was working. Until I came to Bear Creek Chiropractic. Best decision I ever made! I felt like the initial consultation was very throughout and not rushed. I felt listened to and appreciated. After my first session and adjustment I felt instant relief within ten minutes of leaving. Since I have had this injury for quite some time it’s going to take awhile to have more good days then bad but I am extremely optimistic having seen Dr. Backstrom. If I could give this place 6 stars I would! The receptionist Jennifer is amazing too! Very personable, kind, and helped me make all my appointments to ensure I could come in three times a week. I highly recommend coming here!!!

I have to say these folks are great. Jennifer is definitely a bright spot. Guy is a great doctor. He has really helped me after my accident. I couldn’t move my head backward and now I can without any effort or pain.

My husband and I have been going to Bear Creek since we moved to Redmond. Lets start when you walk in the door– there to greet you, make appointments etc. is Jennifer– she is a ray of sunshine! You are immediately put at ease and feel that you are in good hands. Guy Backstrom is, simply put, a great Chiropractor and a great guy. If you want to feel like someone really cares about YOU– I highly suggest you go to Bear Creek Chiropractic. Its warm and welcoming and most importantly you will feel the results!

Dr. Backstrom is very talented at his craft. I was one of those nervous about getting adjusted but I felt secure and confident in his skills after my first visit with him. He has helped me to recover from nagging pains and from being hit my a car as a pedestrian. I am truly thankful for the health he has helped me regain. Debbie, the massage therapist, is exceptional as well! See them both in a visit!

I’ve had a history of back issues and have been going to a chiropractor in Seattle. Unfortunately with our move to redmond I stop going there and my back started to get worse. After visiting 2 other chiropractic offices in the redmond area I finally found Bear Creek and it has changed my life! The people are amazing and kind and most importantly they are the immediate result to my recovery! Definitely would recommend them to anyone I know and I have… you won’t regret becoming a patient!

BEST CHIROPRACTOR EVER!!! CAN’T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT HIM!!!
After going to about a dozen different chiropractors over the years I finally found Guy based on the recommendation of my real estate agent about 7 years ago. Guy adjusts my daughter, me and some of my friends who now go to see him and rave about him too. I cannot imagine ever going to see anyone else. He is straight forward, caring, and extremely skilled. He can do tricky adjustments that other chiropractors simply won’t do. After having gone to all those chiropractors, he was able to do a few difficult adjustments that no one else had done and my problem was mostly fixed after one session and I’d been in chronic pain for years. If you’ve ever been in real terrible pain with no solution, finding someone like Guy is an absolute Godsend. He doesn’t «require» any visits at all and I’ve never needed xrays. Also, visits are almost entirely covered by my insurance. Plus, going to his office is like entering a cross between a Seinfeld episode and Bonanza. My daughter and I have had some scary injuries in the past where great care was called for. He has more than earned our family’s trust and has truly been such an asset and resource to our family that I consider him a friend. I come out of his office laughing and feeling better physically and emotionally. I simply cannot recommend him highly enough. Guy and Jennifer are both a blessing in my life.

I Have been going there for 2 Years now and I have waited too long to tell you all about the service and the people who run that place. Jennifer is always professional and kind and welcoming. Dr. Guy is attentive and also kind, asks questions and always has a sense of humor. I love the laser package and actively push that all my studio girls go see them as soon as possible. Thank you for always helping me land on my feet!

There are three key points to my review…
1. Try it, you’ll like it. Whether or not you have even seen a Chiro, you should try this one… Dr. Guy is not only a master of his craft, but he is a personable and fun character! He’s thorough, precise and will crack you up — literally and figuratively. If you have never been to a Chiropractor before, this would be the place to have your first!
2. Jennifer is the Office Goddess and when you walk through the door you’ll know her by the warm smile and sincerity radiating from behind the desk. She is like sunshine trapped in a human body. You’ll fall in love with her instantly like we all have!
3. Massage — Debbie is absolutely divine. She’s the first masseuse I’ve had that REALLY gets in there. She’s helped me so much, I can’t even put it into words. I’ve been to so many good people, but she surpasses them with ease. Just tell her where your feeling pain/​strain and she’ll do everything in her power (and she is POWERFUL) to provide you relief.
I can’t say enough positive things about Bear Creek Chiropractic. It’s a one stop shop for FEELING GOOD. Give them a try — I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve always had a troubling lower back. I tried one chiropractor that would only adjust half my back… yes, just half. Needless to say, I wasn’t sold on chiropractors. Then I went to Dr. Backstrom based on a friend’s referral. Not only did Dr. Backstrom bend me back into shape, his free golf tips shaved 2 strokes off my game (okay, maybe not).
Oh, and Jennifer, who basically runs the place is the best. The place is efficient, I never really have to wait unless I request it (because I want to sit in the massage chair). Check it out.

I finally started getting chiropractic work done by Guy over a year ago, and all I can say is that I wish I’d done it sooner. Guy is thorough with reviewing your case history, and extremely gentle and kind to those that are new to chiropractic work, as I was. I always feel safe when getting adjusted by Guy, and I can’t imagine trusting my spine to anyone else. He has almost entirely ceased the chronic pain resulting from my back injury from a few years ago. I am now doing most of the things I was prior to my injury, with only minor discomfort. I noticed that I don’t have seasonal allergies any more, and it wasn’t until I read a journal article about allergies and alleviation of their symptoms through chiropractic work that I understood Guy had done that for me, without us ever talking about it. I can’t believe I waited so long to see Guy!
In addition to doing great work, Guy is also a great person, and you will immediately feel that when you walk in the office. Jennifer is wonderful at the front desk, chatting with everyone and running the entire office so smoothly, you don’t ever think about paperwork. It is usually a lively time hanging out in the lobby, with all the patients and regulars chatting and joking with one another, Jennifer, and Guy. It’s a family affair and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I highly recommend Guy — you get the full package: great care, served up with great humor.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Guy Backstrom since about 1992. He is the only Chiropractor who can make my tension/​migraine headaches go away with one adjustment. He is trustworthy, honest and personable. I give him my highest recommendation. I’ve told him that he can never retire because I don’t know what I’d do without him!

Dr. Backstrom is a miracle-​worker.
Early in 2010, I fell down 20 concrete stairs on my face. I had physio, massage, you name it, but the thought of a chiropractor scared me, so I never went. Finally, my mum dragged me to Bear Creek.
The first session was a doozy. But after the second session I found I was able to stand properly upright without being in pain. I’m only 26, so I’d never even considered a fall could do so much long-​term, almost unnoticeable damage. I hadn’t even realised I was in so much pain until it stopped.
It also helps that both Guy and Jennifer are the nicest people you can meet. :) They’re both full of helpful suggestions that actually work. If you’re having any kind of trouble — neck, back, shoulder, knee, hip — they’ll be able to help you out, and they’ll do it with a smile.

Dr. Backstrom (we just call him Guy) has helped my back in ways no other chiropractor has been able to — and I’ve been to a few. As a bonus, his schedule is flexible and available, short waiting time if any, and very reasonable rates. Kami’s massage therapy is amazing. And let’s not forget his lovely and helpful receptionist! I have been coming here since 2008 for regular chiropractic adjustments and deep tissue massages. I am so glad I found this place! Kami, the massage therapist, is one of the best I have encountered. She can find the exact spot that is the problem and work it out. I like a very deep /​firm massage and she can give you that. In addition to being very easygoing and personable, she is also very flexible and will work to find a time to get you in.
Guy Backstrom (yes, his real last name ;) is the Chiropractor who is very good. I have not regularly visited a chiropractor before, but I had no reason to go to anyone else. It is very easy to just drop in, or call and say I am on my way — and you are worked in no problem.
The office is situated in the heart of Redmond, a few blocks off of Redmond Way, so very convenient. It is a small practice with a friendly /​almost a family feel to it. Be sure to add a few minutes in your schedule for visiting. :)
The only down side is they are closed on Thursdays, so if that works in your schedule check them out.
