CHAN’S OFREDMONDJUSTFAILEDTHEIRCOUNTYHEALTHINSPECTION. SCOREIS60. This was June 14, 2016 and the health department just posted their score IN the restaurant, so any reviews after this date are from patrons who don’t care about cleanliness. Chans was cited for a number of slovenly habits including handling raw meat and not washing afterwards. This, can make the public ill. Gross. The food is greasy, I mean serious gut busters here. I can tell(by the taste) that they aren’t straining the oil often enough. No surprise, that low health inspection score pretty much says it all. I don’t expect much from the Chinese restaurants here, but damn. Stay away from the deep fried shrimp and chicken, as it all tastes likes little wads of greasy cornstarch. Drinking glasses were dirty so pay attention. Again, gross.

Panda Express makes better Chinese food than this place. The was nothing«fun» about the vegetable chow fun dish. The noodles were all stuck together and there was no flavor. Hot and sour soup was bland, no tanginess or heat. Crab wontons, more like cream cheese wontons, barely any crab. We all know it’s imitation crab, so I don’t see why they use it so sparingly. Anywho, like I said Panda Express makes better Chinese food, so I definitely wouldn’t suggest eating here.

Pork fried rice was good. As a first time customer I thought it was good. Called ahead and went through the drive thru and they had the order ready and greeted me as well as saying thank you upon leaving.

Brought the family here for a dinner and since they are Chinese it was going to be a test. Turns out they do good authentic food. The family was impressed to have a home style meal! We love choosing multiple plates for family style meals. Highly recommend!

The fried rice is very good. Good flavor for the Szechuan beef but could have had a little more kick to it spice wise. The house low mein noodles had plenty of meat. Liked being able to pick up our order we called in by using the drive thru. This is a great Chinese food place. Definitely recommend it.

Had a good meal, lemon chicken, Mongolian beef, pork fried rice and if you eat in a cup of soup. Service was great. One note for Unilocal is the address is wrong. They have moved to 704SW6th street. The other address is empty. Recommend Chans for excellent Chinese food.

I went here with a friend’s Sister, after church on Sunday. The wait staff was very polite, the selection was pleasing. You can choose from a menu item or you can choose ala carte or lunch special they got it all covered and I haven’t seen that before so I was well impressed. They were more than accommodating for our large group, as well as our request to break up our tickets and my having to change or because I forgot I just had a tooth worked on was dealt with with such ease and no bother that this is definitely a place I will check out in the future and recommend to friends. As far as the food goes it was delicious hot and ready and still warm when I was ready to take it home, which was later devoured by roommates lol.

People looking for authentic Chinese food need to remember that they don’t live in China and thus are going to get American Chinese food. In Shanghai the hottest new restaurant is serving American Chinese, you can check out the article on the BBC News website. That said, this place serves up large portions of good quality, tasty American Chinese food. The service is quick and friendly and you can see that the staff takes a lot of pride in their restaurant and that they are eager to provide a well executed dining experience. We got ours as take out and enjoyed our victuals very much.

They are now in a new building! Where the old Dairy Queen was here in Redmond. Great new clean look and same friendly staff. My favorite part is that for the dinner combinations you can mix and match diffrent dishes like orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken.

The worst fried rice I’ve ever eaten. It was dark brown and tasted like plum sauce. So strange.

I’m sorry but I’m not sure they know what Szechuan food is. I give them zero stars. I thought Cindy’s was bad but this is even worse. I would not waste another dime here. Maybe Szechuan food is not ready for Redmond. I know Redmond is ready for GOOD Szechuan food. I held high hopes for a company named Chan’s.

Great American Chinese food. New location. Food is fresh, served hot, and plentiful. I find Panda to be predictable, boring, and limited. You won’t have that problem at Chan’s.

Mediocre at best. Hot Sour soup wasn’t good, it was very thick and salty. Had the Egg Foo young and sweet & sour chicken combo … Meh

When you’re in Redmond and in the mood for Chinese and Panda won’t do, give Chan’s a shot. Decent but not great. Solid Chinese and the best in Redmond.

This place used to have a menu online. When you call them and ask for delivery they say they don’t know if the driver is coming in tonight or not. The food was average and there is no menu online. This business is obviously going under.

I’m rounding up to 4 stars because they have the same wall paper as my Mom back«home» in Michigan and it makes me feel sentimental. The menu is laid out by styles and you pick the protein. Shanghai, Peking, curry, moo shu, etc. We ordered the number 3 combo: soup, veggie egg roll, pork fried rice, Kung Poa chicken and sweet and sour chicken all for $ 9.95. All staples of American Chinese food. I’ll start by saying the vegetables were crisp, colorful and fresh. They were the best part of the meal. My only complaint was that it could have been a bit more flavorful. I ordered hot and sour soup and the Kung pao. Neither was spicy. Overall I though it was on the better side of average.

It isn’t the most upscale restaurant, but the food is great, and the service is good, and if you doing takeout it doesn’t get any better.

I’ve been going to Chan’s for years, Its good food for the price. The staff is friendly, To me just about all Chinese restaurants taste the same. I always get the hot and sour soup, that’s very good .Like any place its a hit and miss. good or not so good, For the most part its satisfactory, and I do recommend it to my friends. don’t forget the poo poo platter.

Magic words: Fun noodles. To. die. for. They cook these indescribably delicious noodles in some mysterious way that creates a smoky flavor that will haunt you for weeks. After discovering them, I quit trying their other(standard American Chinese food) selections. We also always get their awesome stir-fried dry green beans. Best in Central Oregon. There’s no MSG in the food, they have low carb options, and the service is charming and efficient. The only reason why I don’t give this restaurant five stars is the ambience. But you will not go wrong with Chan’s if what you’re looking for is affordable price, fresh ingredients, and a family-friendly place.

Huge portions. Took home more than we ate. Food was yummy.
