Craig Larsen Photography

Craig was contracted for my sisters engagement photos and wedding. for their first appointment to shoot engagement photos he never showed up, stating that there was a family emergency, which is a fine reason, except the fact that he did not call to cancel with them
for their second appointment, he didn’t show up
on their third attempt the shoot went fine, but when we viewed the product, there was nothing but disappointment to say the least. The photos he said were edited had dramatic flaws, such as random eye balls and missing ankles, it was like he used the spray paint function or something. I am not familiar with photoshop.
because of this reason, my sister wanted to break contract, she had an open and honest discussion about it with him and he said no.
she wanted to pay him for the work he had done, but cancel the wedding shoot.
when she disputed the claim with the credit card company, he took her to small claims court.
it is understandable that there is a contract, but when there are good reasons to break the contract, such as a shoddy product, you should be able to break contract. especially if the client is willing to pay for the work done, but cancel the future work
Most of all Craig Larson was not accommodating, he was not professional, and not open to discussing real concerns for my sisters wedding photos, which she will have for the rest of her life.

I appreciate all of the memories you capture on film, there is always an emotion or feeling that you seem to document! Thank you for always taking the time and energy to make my birthday parties, Christmas parties and family portraits full of expression and emotion! You are a part of my family as you have made the time to be at every special event since the wedding on August 6, 2005. You are so much more than a photographer!!! Your photos are priceless however I do appreciate that your prices are more reasonable than most photographers in the area. There is so much value in your work and I appreciate your talent!!!

The photographer we contracted for through Craig Larsen Photography never showed at our wedding in 2008, and Craig Larsen himself only showed 1.5 hours later after a call was placed to him. He tried to renegotiate the contract and wouldn’t admit that they screwed up. What’s even worse is that he wouldn’t give us our deposit back, and we had to take him to court to get it. Steer clear of this one!

My husband and I selected Craig Larsen as our photographer for our wedding 2.5 years ago. He was fabulous. I don’t usually like getting my picture taken and he was able to make me feel comfortable and we got tons of great pictures. He also worked very well with our other vendors (i.e. DJ) to coordinate some shots. Now my sister is getting married and she can’t wait to use him on her wedding day too.
