Emerald Heights

The whole environment is amazing. All the staff is friendly and helpful. The whole place is being re done. Great benefits to work for. They have a great program for residents to move to if they were to ever get hurt and get better care. They have great food also. Theres a new pool, water classes, yoga, and tons more. You can work there in the food department, office, or as a nurse etc. If there’s ever something wrong let someone know and it will get fixed. Mark in maintenance is awesome. Leslie at the front desk is a doll shes soo sweet and always in a good mood. Corwin center always talk to Kathy or Debbie all your questions, comments and or concerns will be answered in a very timely manner. And as far as food talk to Estella shes a total sweetheart.

Emerald Heights is a wonderful retirement community in Redmond Washington, located up on a hill with beautiful surroundings.
My grandmother has been a resident here since 2001 or 2002 (can’t remember the year). She started off in her own studio apartment (complete with kitchen and balcony). They have a dining room where they serve all meals of the day. They also have various activities that the residents can attend and participate in including field trips.
When she fell and fractured her hip, she was moved into assisted living and finally skilled nursing (where she is now once her memory starting going).
I came to visit for her 90^th birthday this past weekend and I had a pretty good experience with the staff and nurses. They don’t really check on her unless she calls them, however, they have warning buzzers on her bed and chair in case she falls out. (they are very loud).
She really enjoyed the little party we threw her and it was easy to find a small room to sit around a table and talk with her. The nurses all know her name and were very sweet to her. My only major concern is whether or not she’s eating (I’m hoping they write down who is in the dining hall every meal).
Otherwise, she seemed happy and pretty healthy. I think the Emerald Heights community is decent and a good place to retire. I would recommend them for sure.
