Malinda Lam-Gershony, DDS

We’re really glad that we found this clinic. Our entire family goes there. It feels like family to us and we feel we’ve built personal relationship with the staff. Dr. Lam-​Gershoni is great with kids and she was able to check our toddler with a great attitude. She seems to really care about each and every patient and their well-​being. We’ve enjoyed working in particular with Colleen as our hygienist.

I love Dr Lam and everyone at the dental office. Never thought I would say that about the dentist. I have been coming here for at least 4 years now and have only positive things to say about Dr Lam and her staff. Lynell, sorry if I spelled your name wrong, at the front desk calls my insurance to confirm my benefits before I begin services so I know exactly what my out of pocket is. She tells me what’s covered and what’s not. I have people at work who complain that they are surprised at their dental bill so I know this is not being done at their dental office.
We are so busy that we sometimes forget about our appointments. They send you a postcard, they text you and they email you. Love it!!!
I have had two implants done with Dr Lam and I’m happy to say that they were relatively pain free. Dr Lam takes the time to explain to me about the surgery. Told me each step necessary to complete the implant, the follow up, and then the final appointment. I like it when a medical/​dental professional explains to me what’s going to happen and how it’s going to affect me like I’m an intelligent adult. She does not ignore me and expects me to just trust her because she’s the doctor. She explains so I understand and encourages me to ask questions so I’m not scared. I had the surgery, my husband took me home as I was quite out of it. The next day after I woke up, I felt no pain from my gums being cut open. Seriously it was like magic. Dr Lam called me a day or two after the surgery to check on me to make sure I was doing fine.
Bonus: I feel like a kid saying this but when I had to do fillings they let me choose a Netflix movie or tv show and gave me headphones to use.
Love the new every type of cell phone charging station in the office.
Anytime someone tells me they are looking for a new dentist I will tell them to see Dr Lam. I love the promptness, the patience, the caring, and professional people here. The folks here make me forget how much I use to hate going to the dentist.

Dr. Lam’s team works well with the Dr. They are all digital and can do an excellent job tracking the needs of your teeth and gums, they also go the extra mile to verify and assist you in your overall health.

Always great to come here for a bi-​yearly checkup! I enjoy the atmosphere, the technology used, and especially how the staff always keeps up to date on how I am doing and life events.

I’ve been a regular patient at this office for well over 10 years… and while over that time there’s been some changes in staff, the treatment philosophy has been very solid. Flexible and easy to communicate with; billing has always been timely and accurate. No hesitations in recommending.

First visit for exam and cleaning was yesterday… felt heard and resulting treatment plan understood. Great experience from first phone call, through exam & cleaning and with scheduler. Classy joint :)

I’ve been seeing Dr. Lam-​Gershony for almost 2 years. She & her staff have helped me with a variety of dental issues. From crowns to fillings to a night guard to deep cleanings for improved gums and of course, regular cleanings — these professionals really know what they’re doing!
Besides amazing bedside manner (she always remembers my kid’s names & life story), Dr. Lam is so incredibly gentle!!! I used to fear the dentist, especially appointments that required needles! Now, I don’t mind them at all. Her hygienists are all wonderful and friendly. They are experienced and seem to truly enjoy working with Dr. Lam.
This office is in a great location, clean, and even offers television shows/​movies if you’re having a long procedure!
You really should give this office a try!
Tip: I always park on the top section of the Redmond Town Center parking garage. Very easy access up there!

My 4 year old daughter had her very first dental visit with Dr. Lam-​Gershony. It was a great experience. Mira, the dental assistant, was friendly and great with children. She took the time to establish trust with my daughter. She explained all the tools in a manner that my daughter understood. She also made the time to address questions and concerns. Dr. Lam-​Gershony helped teach proper dental hygiene at a level that my kid could understand. A great experience and would definitely recommend this office.

The bottom line: the staff is very nice but i didn’t get what i came for, or what i was promised afterwards.
Some more details — i came in due to some very disturbing toothache (which i stated when making an appointment so they found me a spot on the next day).
When i came in, an assistant xrayed the problematic area and asked whether i want her to xray the rest of the teeth until the doctor arrives. I agreed to that for future records, and i must note that she was very kind while doing them.
The doctor took a look at the aching area, and then continued to look at the rest of my teeth writing down what needed to be done. After an hour of examination i inquired how will she handle my aching teeth to which she replied that she doesn’t plan to do so that day, put had a plan for what my next treatments should be. So in the end — my tooth wasn’t treated, i got plenty of radiation, wasted almost 2 hours of my time, and the scans of my teeth that i requested to be sent to me never arrived.
I understand from other reviews that they may provide good service at this office but i was extremely disappointed. Sometimes you can’t find the source of a problem, this i can accept. But when the reason for a visit is not considered during a treatment, and promises are not met — this i can’t.

Dr. Malinda Lam and her entire staff are stellar in every respect. They are honest, caring, thoughtful and really enjoy interacting with their patients making them feel at home.
Along with their warm, knowledgeable and professional style their technical competence is of the highest caliber.
Dr.Lam has performed several more complicated procedures all with precision thus reducing any post surgical pain and recovery time.
I cannot praise Dr. Malinda Lam and her staff highly enough. I look forward to many more years of visiting Dr. Lam.

Everyone in the office is kind and welcoming. They know me (even though I’m only there twice each year) and are very helpful! Dr Lam-​Gershony is an aggressive dental practitioner, who stays up on the latest dental practices and trends. I believe my long-​term dental health is secure in her hands. She wants the best dental health for her patients. I highly recommend Dr Lam-​Gershony and her team!

The office staff is very friendly and not very pushy. They care about long-​term health of your teeth.
My favorite in this office is watching Netflix during long procedures :) Way to multitask!

I had no idea that Dr. Hon had retired, so I was a little surprised to find a new dentist in her place. Dr. Lam-​Gershony has the same high standards gentle care, and great staff as Dr Hon, so the transition to Dr Lam-​Gershony was easy. In fact, some of the staff as the same people who worked with Dr. Hon which is nice. My daughter works in China, so it can be a challenge to get her dental work set up and everything taken care of in the few weeks she’s here visiting. Dr. Lam-Gershony’s office was able to take care of everything while she was here which was much appreciated by myself and my daughter.

This is hands down the WORST DENTIST I’ve ever been to my entire life. Moved to town looking for a replacement for my last dentist (of 5+ years), and in short, I definitely won’t be going back to Dr Lam’s practice.
1. I’m sure this office was paid off by Philips or they get kickbacks. The whole time, the hygenist and the dentist (the dentist who only saw me for a total of 5 minutes before handing me back to the hygenist) kept nagging me to get Soniccare. Not just any electric toothbrush, but Soniccare. Throughout the entire 2 hours.
2. I had to do almost TWENTY x-​rays, tooth by tooth? Apparently it’s standard for every new patient. I’ve always done X-​rays, but a single x-​ray (or two) usually covered every tooth from left to right, top to bottom. They were doing them one by one. By jamming a giant plastic piece in my mouth any way they could. In their words «digital x-​rays» are completely safe! Yet she left the room every time, and the ‘digital’ was just the way the image was sent to a PC. Sure.
On top of this, I was suggested a bunch of things that never came up with my previous dentist, from deep cleaning which involves numbing and several visits, to visits every THREE months? This after having annual visits my whole life. Right.
All of this being pushed to me on the spot. They were ready to start with the deep cleaning, almost didn’t get a chance to stop her. Felt this practice was as pushy as a car salesman.
The other reviews on here must have been paid off or something, because there’s no way this dental practice deserves 5 stars.
Update ¹²⁄₂₀₁₃ — I went back to my previous dentist and guess what, I don’t need deep cleaning and my gum health is just fine! Staying up to date with technology? This practice is supposed to be familiar with Invisalign — I’d expect them to know how Invisalign retainers push on gums.

Dr. Lam-​Gershony and her staff are simply the best I have ever encountered. Approximately 2 years ago, my company relocated my family and I to Redmond. We did not know anyone, yet we needed to find a dentist. We were very lucky to find Dr. Lam-​Gershony. Her staff is extremely professional, caring, gentle, and just great with patients. Dr. Lam-​Gershony is such an efficient and effective dentist, she has taken such great care of my family and I. She is so gentle and caring, anyone going there will be extremely glad. I have referred friends their as a result, and one recently let me know she is so glad that I did.

Malinda Lam-Gershony’s business is somewhat new here. She’s been transitioning Dr Hon’s business. I’ve been going here during Dr Hon’s days for about 8 years. Dr Lam-​Gershony has made some changes. You can tell she’s modernizing it, and is adding even more personal touches to the business.
She still has the same great staff that’s been there for years. I can’t say I’ve had a «bad» experience (ok it’s a dentist so you get what you get). You can tell your comfort is a high concern. Like Dr Hon, she focuses on long term preventative care. You’ll of course have to weigh some of the recommendations with your insurance. Unfortunately, most dental care insurance just isn’t in line with what true preventative care should be. At the end, you also get sent home with the normal goodie bag of a toothbrush, floss etc.
After my last appointment, I received a customized letter that summarized my appointment, with highlights of the examination, things to take note, etc. She’s also integrating more e-​mail, and the practice now has a web page. Dr Hon did wonderful work, and I see Dr Lam-​Gershony is making things even better. Highly recommended!
