These guys are amazing! I’ve been a patient since I first moved to the area 16 years ago. Continued as a customer even after I moved to Seattle. Dr. Bob and his staff are knowledgable, courteous, friendly and most importantly very, very good. Dr. Collins is continuously investing in the latest diagnostic technologies and provides an outstanding level of service. I highly recommend them.

I had a fine experience. I do think the contacts are over priced. I kind of wish I had not gotten my first order there. The staff was nice and I did like Dr. Collins. He seems up on latest technology. I had a procedure done called Blephex to try and help my dry eyes… it was pretty painless and I feel it is helping (after like two years of using drops and ointments and such that didn’t work.) I’ll
Go back… just may not get contacts there.

My visit this afternoon was not pleasant at all. The staff was not friendly nor helpful. She did not even move at all. She just sat by the counter looking at her phone. Since it was our first visit and we thought we would like some help. We asked her a question but only to get a one answer in return. She did not even bother to recommend or offer any other help after the one answer. We will not visit here again. I will not even recommend anyone. It is unfortunate that they lose a business from us as my husband really need one. Too bad they are too busy with their phone.

I had been here years before, and I recalled the experience as good. Upon this recent visit I was so very disappointed. I got my eye exam done and went to discuss the prices of contacts and refilling an existing pair of glasses. First off the prices for their contacts are horrendous. Usually I have ordered a years supply without having to pay anything out of pocket because my insurance coverers it. They quoted me over $ 500 for a years supply of contacts which I would have to pay at least $ 250 of! WTF? I’m not entirely sure they know what they are doing since the person pricing out the contacts didn’t seem to even know how to order a years supply of contacts. That fact alone was troubling. Second, when I opted to price out my prescription elsewhere, and requested a copy of my prescription, they said the doctor is busy and cant give that to me right away which is unusual since I usually get a copy at the time of service. It has been 4 days and I am still trying to get my prescription. I think they are holding it back because I didn’t want to buy my overpriced contacts directly from them. I do not recommend going here. They provide very poor service, if you can call this service. You pay to see the doctor who won’t actually give you your prescription…

Our entire family (6 of us) have been going to Optix Eyewear for the past 6 years, and we’ve never been happier with an optometrist. Dr. Collins stays educated on the newest discoveries, and invests in the best technologies available. Their customer service, given by Dr. Collins, his wife, and their staff, is EXCELLENT — they have a commitment to their customers that goes far beyond what is typical.
We’ve had Dr. Collins treat eye infections, corneal abrasions and other problems in addition to annual exams and contact fittings.
We HIGHLY recommend Optix Eyewear if you are looking for an optometrist who will really care about you as a person… not just a set of eyes to sell an expensive pair of glasses to (we always take our prescriptions to Costco, and he is FINE with that).
