Rick was a great realtor to work with, and he definitely made the home buying process a quick and easy one. Our agent in California contacted Rick after researching both him and the area, and we are very grateful for his find. Rick was very responsive and diligent from the first phone call, and he walked us through some of our more basic questions about the home-​buying process.
My husband and I relocated and came here knowing very little about the area. Rick was the right agent to work with, and he provided no nonsense assessment of different cities and neighborhoods, and which homes were headed up in value.

Home buying is an experience of a lifetime and we’re very glad we chose Rick. His knowledge of east side homes is great! Being first time homebuyers and just 2 years living in the US, we felt it very stressful to make such a big decision and did not have a clue about anything related to home buying. We found out about Rick through some very strong recommendations at work. Rick was there every step of the way helping us out with what we need to do next, explaining very basic stuff with all the effects and side-​effects of each decision we make. Being new parents we were super busy most of the time, but Rick always adjusted his schedule to meet our needs and made sure if we want to see a home — we saw it as soon as we could. We really had very specific things we were looking out in a home and we primarily looked at Sammamish homes, but after talking to Rick, he opened up our options and I’m glad he did because we checked off almost every single item in our wish list for our dream home in the kind of localities we explored. We saw more than 20 homes over 2 – 3 months before finalizing on one home we really liked in Klahanie. This home came to market on a weekend around 12pm on a Saturday, we saw the home at 1pm and made an offer by 5pm! I remember the home did not even have a FOR SALE sign. We lost the home initially due to a competing bid, but Rick seeing how much we loved the home advised us to go in with a very strong backup offer, and followed up very closely with seller agent and us to keep us all updated! And not only did we get the home, we got it for less than what we initially offered with closing costs paid for. If you’re buying a home on the east side, Rick should be your go-​to person. Not only is he super passionate about finding you your dream home, he is fun to work with making it an enjoyable experience.

Rick was always on the ball, very responsive, and genuinely focused on finding a house that was right for us. We are rather particular, so our house hunting process was a bit more labor intensive than most — we spent more than 6 months looking for a house (in earnest, there were a couple of months before that too) and we went through three separate negotiations and deals (one of which we had to back out of half way through) before finding a house that is far better than we hoped for. During the entire process Rick was always friendly, helpful, patient, and very responsive — he was consistently willing to talk through each different situation as needed and we often felt like we were his only client.
This was our first house purchase, so we had many questions in general and about the right strategy to employ when bidding on a house. We were looking in a competitive area, so putting together a well thought out and compelling offer quickly was invaluable. Rick’s experience was a huge asset at these times and we were able to respond rapidly to any new prospect.

1. He is very patient, happy to sort through additional listings and do additional showings after a couple of days not finding our ideal house.
2. He is responsive — promptly returns emails and phone calls any time of day, any day of the week.
3. He knows the Seattle area inside out. .. not only the housing market, but knows about schools, businesses, recreation, etc.
4. In our particular case, he also happened to represent the seller of the house we purchased. This can introduce some tricky ethical challenges for a real estate agent, but we at all times felt Rick treated us fairly in this unusual situation and in the end, it is fair to say the «dual agency» worked to our advantage.
5.ALthough you would expect it in a real estate agent, Rick is very familiar with all processes and procedures. . he seems like the kind of seasoned agent who has «seen it all» and can do the routine things in his sleep.
5. If we are ever in a position to sell our property, Rick will be our first phone call. It is apparent that Rick is very well-​connected in the Seattle area; he’s the kind of guy «who knows people who know people», and this can only help if you are a seller.
