I have used Ron’s services for two inspections and he produced a very thorough and extensive report within a day of his inspection. The price was reasonable and the service was excellent! I will use his again and refer his services to anyone who inquires.

Ron was highly recommended to me by my realtor. Things Ron told me in-​person during the inspection weren’t written down in his report. Had a second inspector come out that found a number of things rather quickly that Ron missed in a 3 – 4 hour inspection, such as faulty plumbing/​water draining issues, air duct problems, and hazardous electrical wiring. The second inspector even verified that the age of the appliances (such as the furnace and water heater) were what the sellers said they were — something Ron did not do nor write in his report.
Maybe it was the price range/​condition of the house I was buying, but he did not provide me with a worthwhile inspection for the same amount of money the second inspector did ($ 400). In the end, Ron just might be better/​more familiar with newer homes. He does come highly recommended by many realtors, but bottom line, for my inspection he could have done much much better. Whenever buying a new house, if you can afford it, always go with 2 inspectors.

Ron West of RW West consultants was recommended to me for my first home sale in 2007. It was a huge house and it took him over 6 hours to complete. Since it was my first experience with a home inspector I had about a million questions on the process, what he was looking for, how he presented his results etc. Ron was patient, kind and personable and answered every question I had. over the 6 hour period! I always recommend him to my clients and always will. I have never had someone come back and say there were less than 100% happy with his service!

I was fortunate enough to meet Ron West about 16 years ago when I first got into real estate. He was doing an inspection for an agent I worked for at the time. He has done every one of my inspections for every client, friend and family member since. I have never been so impressed by an inspector. He is thorough and provides a detailed report of the home complete with embedded images and even denotes what is critical and just informational. He walks through the house with the future home owner and is extremely thorough. He had a carbon monoxide detector for fireplaces way before it was standard for inspectors to carry them. He is easy to talk to and very professional. He provides the report by the next morning so that you can respond timely to the inspection contingency. If you are not using Ron you are probably not getting the kind of inspection that you could and could be buying a house with hidden issues.
