Sure Lawn

I also have been a PAST customer & would never hire them/​him again. The first year was ok, they came, cleaned up my yard & mowed once a week. Not the best job but passable. As with the previous review there were things that needed attention & never got done, even though we discussed them week after week. Then Fall came & he never showed up again… ok so I figured our Winters are not conducive to yard maintenance. I contacted him in the Spring and he said he had not received payment for the last month he serviced my yard, I checked bill pay & sure enough there was no payment, I immediately cut him a check & he resumed care, also offering a free month because of my Mother’s death… Wow! I thought what a considerate person/business…well the care was substandard & he was here and gone in virtually 10 minutes. I asked him about doing some full blown landscaping & poof he disappeared, never returned & never replied to my attempts at contacting him. So it goes… I will never recommend Sure Lawn.

This is a tricky review to write. The service is very good and had my yard looking great. However… I can’t tell if the owner is just pulling my leg or what. Despite constant claims of «120 employees», the owner or his brother was always the one that would come mow my lawn. I don’t know… but if I had 120 employees, I would think I would have more important things to do than mow lawns. Sure Lawn still services a couple neighbors, and sure enough… it’s always the owner of the company out there.
That’s neither here nor there. The real problem lies in the execution. I had to constantly remind him of things that needed to be done. One example was a tree that had a couple limbs fall off. The owner said he could apply a salve to the open area of the tree that would seal the «wound» so it wouldn’t dry out and it wouldn’t harm the rest of the tree. That was in the spring. I constantly reminded him all summer and it finally got to the point where I had to call him after he had finished my house and told him to come back and do it. We cancelled the service because I had to start paying for my kid’s braces… but I think with all the constant reminders, etc we would have cancelled regardless.
The guy is a really nice guy and a pleasure to work with, but there are just some things that don’t jive up with what he tells his customers and the constant reminders to get work done is a real drag.
