Needed a root beer float. The worker explained they didn’t have ice cream, but they did have a root beer which tastes just like a root bear float, and it did. They have so many different kinds of root beer in this shop. If you like root beer then this is for you. Check it out!

Husband is a big root beer fan and he loves coming here. Selection is amazing, staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. They also offer orange soda, cream soda, and some other specialty sodas as well.

Such an awesome store!!! A great way to test different drink flavors and be adventurous! The place was clean, well organized, and the guy working was really helpful! I will be going back for sure!

Fun root beer shop. Friendly staff. LOADS of choices. We opted to buy random stuff to try. I think of 12 items we really liked 4. Others were just ok. We will be back though to try more as they said they are always getting different things in. It’s fun to try new things and this place makes it possible. Root beer is our family’s favorite drink.

Wide range of root beers. I mean it’s not called the root beer store for nothing :) Like bacon? Well, try out their bacon root beer. Don’t like root beer? You’re in luck, they have other sodas that you can try.
Unfortunately they do not have root beer floats in this location. Their Lynnwood store does though. (Yes I know. I also went into the store, hoping to get a root beer float.) The owner recommended us to try the Frostie Vanilla Root Beer. It quenched the craving to drinking a root beer float.
Anyways, it’s a nice place to check out for fun.

This is a great place if you like root beer and we do! The worker at the store was very helpful and friendly and they have every kind of root beer you can think of. A cool place.

I am now so hooked and come every Saturday to refill our drink cooler. The selection is massive and my favorite is the Frosty vanilla root beer! All in glass bottles which is best chilled and right out of the bottle! Corey is the owner and recommending everyone to go try a taste of the past that is being brought back. I support this small business. Blue cream and red cream is amazing too!

Has a lot of root beer but was disappointed with the organic /​non-​gmo selection. I ended up with an organic root beer from Maine but hoped to find more of a variety. Sales lady was rude & mocked the GMO free concept. I’m not sure if it was just due to her ignorance. May try another location but not the Redmond one ever again… I’ll stick with Whole Foods down the block.

One of a kind store! Huge selection of root beer and other sodas. It’s refreshing to see so many options from smaller craft suppliers. You can walk-​in, mix and match and enjoy!

If you like root beer, you’re in for a treat: there’s a whole shop dedicated to this tasty beverage — all you have to do is find it. The Root Beer store is located in an unassuming office park, right next to the Redmond School of Glass. You may need your GPS to find it, or if you get lucky, they’ll have some signs out on the road to help.
It’s worth the hunt.
It’s just a small shop, jammed full of bottles of craft root beers, root beer candy, root beer extract, you name it. Need some root beer lip balm? Now you know where to find it. I got some recommendations from the clerk on robust flavored root beers, and assembled a sampler of four kinds of root beer for just ten dollars. I was glad to be helped by someone who was able to tell me a bit more than what the best-​sellers are.
The one thing they didn’t have was materials to make a true craft root beer — they only had kits that included «root beer crystals» and the like. I was a little disappointed in that regard, but it’s hard to complain too much about a nice, clean store with a great, specialized selection.

Came across The Root Beer Store when I was picking up a glass-​blown ornament I made at the nearby Redmond School of Glass, and I figured I would check it out.
I’m no root beer professional (heck, I don’t even really like the stuff), but this place has more types of root beer than you can ever imagine. Plus, they have all sorts of various brands of bottled soda (old school ones, too) like orange, grape, and Mexican Coke. They have a sample table set up so that you can taste different kinds to see what you like. To clean your palette, they have complimentary pretzels.
I tried a bottled soda called Hippo Huckleberry, and it is amazing! I left buying what they had on the shelf. A very unique and interesting taste. I also left with an orange soda, which was nice and cold. There are also hard candies, gummy snacks, and other goodies to go along with your root beer shopping.
Would highly recommend this to any root beer fan. The prices are really reasonable, too!

You make a lot of decisions in life. I had to encounter one of the most difficult decisions I ever had when I came here. «Which Root Beer should I get?» ha I wish the prices were a bit lower. Four sodas for nearly $ 10 is a lot. I’ll be back but probably not soon.

Love it! Just saw this place nestled away between other buildings off the direct line of view from the street. The lady was very helpful and let us know all their plans. i loved it since I’m not a dark soda drinker so I am anticipating my blood orange and the other 3 I received!

Drinks: This place is a nice difference from other places you go to get root beer, you walk in to a small room completely filled with root beer, my personal favorite is the frosty, which is like a root beer float after all the ice cream is melted, DELICOUS! Not only do they have root beer they also have cream soda, orange soda etc.

Service: The people here are very nice and help you find practically any root beer you want. I have never met the owner but I’m sure he/​she is very nice.
décor: Not much to say for this section for all of the walls are coated in root beer, cream soda and a mixture of other concoctions! The outside is nice, not to fancy or obnoxious.
This is a great place and I will be back as soon as possible!

I hate root beer… everything about it.
Came here for a 6 pack as a gift for a root beer aficionado (husband).
Having 100+ brands of root beer to choose from felt a bit overwhelming, but I ended up
leaving with a 10 pack AND some root beer extract in less than 10 minutes, which was super nice since i had 2 kids in tow.
Very helpful staff/​owner. Obviously.
This was by far the fastest and most pleasant in and out shopping experience for me to date AND I amazingly left without extra «stuff» the kids would normally beg for.

One of my quirky childhood habits was to sample different root beer during family vacations. Of course, that was when I wasn’t cooped up in the back of the car while my father was doing one of his marathon drives from point A to B. Those brief respites at remote gas stations where I would look for a root beer or cream soda I had never tasted before. Yes, I see you nodding your head, you know what I mean.
While I only saw a couple of those brands, at least I don’t have to wait 6 hours between stops to search out a new flavor. Instead, it’s only a 30 minute drive away to pick up a half dozen. Certainly can’t beat that.

It’s a store with over 100 different kinds of root beer, what else is there to say?!

OK, OK I’ll say a little more. They have a tiny little space, but they pack in so much good stuff! The area you first walk into has all the traditional, «normal» kinds of root beer, along with the cooler that has some of the most popular items in it. The register is right in the middle and on the other side of it is the misc. stuff like all the diet root beers, ginger ales, grape sodas, colas, crème sodas, etc. There is less of that stuff combined than the main root beer stock, but it’s still pretty impressive.
When I walked in I was immediately greeted by one of the owners who asked if I had been in before and when I replied I hadn’t she gave me the spiel. It was a bit rehearsed and she plodded through it without really pausing for breath, but she’s probably delivered it about 1,000 times so I don’t blame her ;)
After that I grabbed a couple of containers and picked more or less 8 random root beers. Total was exactly $ 18. Most of them are priced so that with tax they’re $ 2 each, but some are $ 3 with tax. I had a game day the next day so I sprung a surprise root beer tasting on the crew, and everyone really enjoyed it. There were six of us, and I actually had everyone give me a 1 — 10 score and took the average. Here’s what we came up with (the number is parenthesis is my rating):

You’ll see a lot of peeps on Unilocal mention the Frostie Vanilla and there’s a reason! I really really liked the Hosmer too. It’s brewed with brown sugar; I don’t know if that’s what made it so good, but it had a really smooth rich flavor that wasn’t too sweet and just went down smooth. Highly recommended.
Both the gal that gave me the spiel and the young lady who cashed me out were very nice, and the place has a great, welcoming vibe to it. I will definitely be back for more home taste testings with friends. Or even solo ;)

I also need to report one odd customer service hiccup I had the second time I went in. Not a huge deal but just kind of weird. A nice young lady was stocking and greeted me when I walked in. I told her I had been in before and was fine, thanks. I picked out 5 root beers and was looking for a 6^th one so I asked her for some recommendations. She started to tell me about some of her favorites and giving me recommendations when the owner came out, saw her talking to me and told her «Talk and stock!», meaning to keep working while she’s talking. I thought it was very odd that an employee would get berated for, you know, providing customer service. It’s not like we were talking about the Mariners or something, she was helping me purchase their freaking product! I thought it was so odd that you would tell an employee NOT to drop what you’re doing and answer a customer’s questions. Like I said, not a big deal but still pretty weird.

Don’t let the business park façade or the small store space fool you. There’s over 100 different kinds of rootbeer, plus some other specialty sodas (like bacon soda). You can make your own 4-​, 6-​, or 12-​pack. Though most of them are warm, they do have a cooler filled with the most popular selections so you can enjoy your purchase right away.
Plus, the service is both friendly and knowledgable. Both salespersons we’ve encountered have made excellent recommendations. They even helped me ship a 12-​pack assortment to a good friend in Phoenix who has been unable to easily get speciality sodas since the beloved Pop Shop closed down their physical location.
Recommendations:
Frostie Vanilla Root Beer (tastes like a root beer float), Hippo Root Beer (big taste!), and the one that’s brewed more like tea whose name I forget, but they’ll know what I’m talking about.

This is another reason I love Unilocal.I’ve stayed at Redmond Inn on my previous visits to Seattle but I hadn’t realised this little gem is only 10 minutes walk from the hotel until it popped up on a Unilocal search
In the UK, we are deprived. We can’t get decent tex mex. We can’t get peanut butter M&Ms. And we can’t get root beef without going to specialist stores
A visit to this little store was fascinating and educational. It may not have a large acreage but there is a lot of goodness and expertise crammed in here
The young server in here hits just the right level of informative friendliness. With over 100 root beers available, you do need his wise words and recommendations. I didn’t even know root beer came in different flavours
All the bottles are priced at $ 2 including tax except for specialist root beers. This simple price plan makes choosing less complicated
They also carry other unusual sodas such as bacon soda and hot wing soda as well as other root beer merchandise. I also learned that sasparilla, which is available here, isn’t technically root beer
I walked out with 2 yummy recommendations — their best-​selling Frostie vanilla and Gale’s, made from an English recipe

I suggest these root beer for starters:
Dr. Brown — (New York City region & South Florida) — creamy but not too sweet with just alittle bite.
Dog ‘n’ Suds (Bottled in Lafayette, Indiana for the Dog ‘n’ Suds drive-​in chain) taste very smooth with some bite
Route 66 Beer -(Bottled in Indian Head Park, Illinois) flat flavor but taste a lot of fruity sweet.
Frostie — (started in 1939 in Baltimore but now bottled in Texas) smooth tasting and even-​tempered with delicious rich creamy vanilla flavor.
Sprecher gourmet root beer (Milwaukee, WI) creamy flavor, very sweet from the Wisconsin honey direct from the combs, and hints of vanilla.
Buckin’ Root Beer — (Jackson Hole Soda Co, Wyoming) Made from real sugar with a spicy bite. This is GREAT in FLOATS and in your BBQ recipes.
Dougie Dog Butterschotch root beer — (Vancouver, BC) — if you like butterscotch… you will love this rootbeer!
