I do love this place. Very friendly staff and great food. It feels like a family home.

The spicy miso soup is so yummy! The only bummer is it’s very expensive and they do not give you half as much broth as a normal ramen restaurant, but it is very good quality. When you get it to go the broth barely fills a normal cereal bowl at home. Their prices were also just raised so be prepared to spend more than the numbers you see on here …

Serving size is too small and they barely give you any toppings. We ordered the spicy miso and the tonkotsu shoyu ramen. The tonkotsu shoyu was MUCHBETTER than the spicy miso. The serving size is so small. Extra noodles are a must. And you should probably add an egg since it doesn’t come with much.

I ordered the tonkatsu-shoyu ramen with extra noodles and spinach. The broth has a really nice flavor to it. Sometimes ramen broth tends to taste too salty but their broth was good. It also had these crunchy garlic bits which were a nice addition. I would definitely come back for the food but I don’t know that I’d eat at the restaurant again because it was so cold in there. Maybe it’s to help balance the inner warmth you get from the soup.

This place is okay. They took forever to bring our food. We ordered take out took almost an hour. Could use a bit more seasoning & larger portions. Would I eat there again? Yes, when I need my Raman fix. It’s the only Raman place in the area. I wish one of the good Raman houses in Gardena would open up in my area. Oh well this spot will do.

I don’t understand why people like this ramen spot so much. My only conclusion is that they don’t really know what good ramen tastes like. Weird considering the south bay has a decent number of ramen options. Go to Santouka and compare for yourself. I got the spicy miso with added corn and wife got the tonkatsu shio. Broth: Any decent bowl of ramen has got to have solid broth. The broth here is too watery and just loaded with saltiness vs. flavor. Too much garlic masking what should be a nice thick pork soup base. Chasu: This was the only decent part of the bowl. The chunks were small but tender and flavorful. Spicy Miso: Not very spicy at all. Just salty. Noodles: We both got the thick noodles. They were okay. Nothing special here. The people working here were very nice. The ramen is just not that good. Much better options in the area.

I gotta say that this is an average ramen spot. When we arrived, we were told that certain menu items aren’t available. I’m the type that sometimes likes to look up the menu online and decide what I want so I could see this being a problem for some customers.

Not bad for a first timer! The soup to me was great; customer service was also great. Place is a bit small tucked in a corner. Can’t complain will come here again. Food was a bit slow coming out; but it was super hot when it did! The waiter came by every so often to check in on us; pretty much to show us she didn’t forget lol.

Stopped into this little hidden gem when an intense craving for ramen came over me. We were greeted by the friendly waitress promptly when we walked in. It’s a quaint little spot in an odd location but the food and service was great! I ordered spicy miso ramen with thick noodles and seaweed. My boyfriend ordered the regular miso with thick noodles. We both loved our dinner! We also had some interesting fried little balls of deliciousness for an appetizer. We will definitely be back!

By Far the Best noodle place in The South Bay! I can’t get enough of the spicy ramen and I’m never disappointed. It’s always served SUPERHOT and with the thick pieces of pork that melt in your mouth. The noodles come thick or thin. I order the original, which are thick. You can add yummy veggies, spinach, corn, bean sprouts and cabbage… also kimchi. It’s run by a mom and pop… they are the sweetest. They have a nice friendly girl working the front. The order might take a minute longer than you think… since it’s all made to order. I usually call my order in so its pretty much ready when I get there! YUM!

Pretty simple for ramen in South Bay. Our top picks lie on Sawtelle. But we have slurped these noodles a few times now and also enjoyed the karaage. However, there wasn’t a dipping sauce for these fried beauties, bum out. I am a fan of the Tonkotsu-Shio ramen, not spicy and regular thin noodles. The pork is very flavorful and the broth as well, but still not my favorite. We have missed out on gyoza and still waiting to try! A must I hear so next time we are craving ramen, hopefully there is still some left for us.

I came here on Wednesday for lunch around 1pm. I was able to sit down immediately. I ordered Spicy Miso Ramen with thick noodle($ 8.95) with extra topping of flavored egg($ 1.50) and spinach($ 1). Ramen was good, not too spicy and not too special. It was not busy so I was able to get the drink and food fast.

Pretty good ramen if you are in the south Torrance area. Started with gyoza, just the regular gyoza. So good. Perfectly seared on both sides. Then got the tonkatsu shoyu ramen with added egg, corn and spinach. Really good, flavorful broth and not too oily which I can prefer. Service was good. The restaurant is pretty small where it’s perfect for lunch where you are limited on time and the turn over is quick. Parking can be hard since other local establishments claim their customer parking spots but you can park at the grocery store nearby or maybe if you are lucky enough you’ll get the one designated for the restaurant.

BamBiBu is fantastic! Its a small ramen house tucked into a corner beside an alterations/cleaner. I was surprised when I came on a Friday evening to find it empty. On the menu, they have a wide variety of appetizers including a broad spectrum of gyoza; unfortunately, they were unable to make gyoza the night we came so we tried the takoyaki instead. While the takoyaki was pretty great, I hope I can try the gyoza next time I’m in the area. As for the ramen, we tried the spicy miso and their tsukemen, or chilled ramen with a hot broth to dip into. Let me tell you, their broth in the tsukemen is absolutely AMAZING. By far one of the best broths I’ve ever had. Plus it is a great dish for a hot summer day; I definitely recommend it. Overall,(although we lucked out with it being not so busy) service was fantastic and the food is even more so. I’d recommend anyone in the area to give it a shot.

I love this place. I’d much rather eat here than daikokuya or santouka. The place is tiny and their parking lot is even tinier. I think this place is run by an older couple(cooking in the back) with one person as their waitstaff. Yeah, it takes a minute to get your food but it’s worth the wait. I love the(thick) noodles here. And the garlic chips on top ^^ The karaage is good and their gyoza is usually delicious(there was one time they weren’t amazing. but we still cleared the plate) If you’re in redondo beach you Def need to try the ramen here~

I really wanted to like this place… I really did. The food, however, was just not very good. The girl who works as the waitress, bus girl, manager, etc, is really sweet. It’s kind of tough to watch her run around because he is by herself and doing way too much. I am not sure how many people work in the kitchen, but there is a pretty long wait for your food, so I am guessing there aren’t too many people back there. We started the meal with spicy gyoza, which were alright, but the skin was a little thin and poorly constructed, causing the gyoza to open, and the filling to fall out. The flavor was alright otherwise. My hubby ordered the spicy miso ramen and I ordered the shio ramen. The spicy miso had an aftertaste that we didn’t particularly care for, and the shio was not very good. The pork on both dishes was tender, but it was really salty. It was really disappointing after reading so much about the quality of the pork they have here. Listen, if you want good ramen in the southbay, head to the Mitsuwa in Torrance. Their cafeteria has the dopest ramen in the area. I was really rooting for this place because I’m a ramen monster, and this place is really convenient, but it’s a no go from here on out.

It’s a lovely local store that has all the cute paper decos. The ramen tastes good and i finished all the soup with tokatsu ramen. It’s actually not cheap based on the fact that it doesn’t have eggs or other toppings and you need to order them seperately. And origianlly it only comes with one slice of meat. Love its takoyaki too. Warm with the sauce and seaweeds. It doesn’t have lots of seats in there, so you might need to wait a little depending on the time you arrive. But if you are in the area, it’s good to have lunch there.

I’ve heard about this tiny ramen joint from one of my coworker and how its Berkshire pork is imported from Canada. Canada you say? I must give this Candian chashu pork a try! Finding this location is an adventure itself. BamBiBu is located BEHIND(that’s the key word) Chase Bank and right next to the Albertsons parking lot. If you see a «Southwood Cleaners» sign — congratulation, you have found the place. Ebi Shiso Gyoza(shrimp, Japanese shiso herb, ground berkshire pork — from Canada, cabbage, brown onion, green onion — $ 7.95) — Oooooo! Complete-whole-shrimp-in-a-gyoza! What an interesting twist and gyoza was VERY juicy. Now those were some good gyoza. Spicy miso ramen(tonkotsu broth w/spicy miso + bean sprouts + 2 pieces chashu pork + green onion + crispy onion + roasted garlic flake — $ 8.95) — You have the option of thick or thin noodles and I chose thin noodles. I gotta say … those 2 pieces of Candian chashu pork(combined with roasted garlic flake) were amazing — like melted-in-your-mouth amazing. Tonkotsu broth was slightly sweet, but spicy miso was a bit too much for me to handle(approximately 1.5X time Sriracha level). Sure, spicy miso was a bit too spicy, but its gyoza and chashu pork are good enough reasons to visit here! Redondo Beach, you got yourself a good ramen restaurant!

Good God, the Gyoza at BamBiBu are gloriously good … and 5-stars. The ramen, on the other hand, is a push because I went for«Ramen Week» when their special wasn’t even ramen. The bamboozle was for Italian Tonkotsu Pasta($ 5.50 instead of $ 10.95). It’d be like trying an Italian restaurant for Pasta Week and being served Japanese Parmigiana Udon. Ok, I’m done ranting. Why they didn’t offer ramen for Ramen Week was weird, but the thick Pork Broth, thick Spaghetti Noodles, and fresh Baby Tomatoes were beautiful and flavorful … just not ramen. Salt-flavored Tonkotsu Soup is topped with Sauteed Tomatoes, Parmesan Cheese, Chashu Pork, Basil Sauce, and Mint … with the Spaghetti Noodles just below the surface. Three stars for the Italian Tonkotsu Pasta for originality and presentation. So, let’s get back to the Gyoza. Olivia Z. and I both agreed that the BamBiBu Stamina Gyoza($ 4.25) rocked thanks to Berkshire Pork, Garlic, Cabbage, Brown and Green Onions, Chives, and seasoning. I’ll definitely order the the Stamina, Regular, or Spicy Gyoza when I go back to try their real ramen. Service was nice and the small restaurant seems really clean. The large windows provide lots of natural lighting. Free parking was a snap in the lot for the shopping complex. Someday, I’ll visit BamBiBu again for the glorious Gyoza and to try the Ramen … even during Ramen Week.
