Cardio Barre – Redondo Beach

Such a great workout if your wanting something that is low impact but gets your heart rate up and makes you sweat! Love that I can get both my cardio and toning done in this 1 hour class! Gabrielle the owner (and one of the instructors) is the sweetest and all the instructors are amazing! They are always willing to answer any questions you have and they always go around the room helping out any newbies. If you haven’t tried this class you need to! This is by the far the BEST barre class in the South Bay!

This review is so overdue! I’ve been coming to Cardio Barre for a little over a year now and absolutely LOVE this place. I originally starting coming through Class Pass, but found myself always wanting to do Cardio Barre so I cancelled it & got a CB membership — best decision ever! The instructors are amazing (personal fave is the owner, Gabrielle but all the teachers are great) — so kind, motivational & helpful — I feel like a new woman every time I leave a class. Your butt will get KICKED — but in a good way (: It takes a couple of classes to catch on to the moves since the transitions are pretty quick, but don’t give up on it! I find myself looking forward to class — and I usually find every excuse in the book to not work out. Love love love Cardio Barre!

I take various barre classes but Cardio Barre incorporates so much more ballet for such a good aerobic workout in addition to building lean muscles. Jessica and Sadie are awesome! They are inspiring and energetic. I go at least twice a week to get my endorphins flowing! I’ve already seen results in just 3 weeks going twice a week.

Love the workout here. Instructors and staffs are extremely encouraging! Took Britney’s classes and it’s an amazing way to start mornings with the positive energy from barre! Feel beautiful afterwards!

Cardio Barre has been one of the most life-​changing workouts I’ve ever tried. I can physically see the changes in my body from just going once a week for about 6 months. Gabrielle and Jessica are amazing and it challenges me and has helped me sculpt my body in ways I never thought possible. Thank you!

I attended my first Barre-​type class Sat morning which was Beginner level. The music was great, class was fun & challenging. The instructor (didn’t catch name) was awesome. However, I expected to feel sore like I worked-​every-​muscle-​to-​death sore but didn’t feel a thing. Despite that, I can’t wait to go again.

I don’t know why it has taken me so long to write a review on CardioBarre Redondo Beach… but better late than never. I started CardioBarre 3 years ago when I had less than 4 months to get in shape for my wedding. I was challenged by a good friend, who told me «try CardioBarre 3 – 4 x week for a month and start to see results, keep with it for 2 – 3 months and watch as your body transforms.» I took her up on the advice for my wedding preparations and she was right! I was more than ready for my Maui Wedding, in fact was in the best shape of my life. After returning from my wedding, I went back to my regular routine and did not work out regularly… then I started to try new and different workouts and studios… I had fun, met a lot of great people, but noticed absolutely no change in my body (even working out 5 – 7 days per week!). After finally deciding I need to work out for ME, not for a wedding day, I went back to where I achieved results in the first place. I was instantly greeted with a warm welcome from Gabrielle, it felt great to be back. All of the instructors are fantastic… it is an inviting studio, and all will challenge you to an amazing workout. The instructors will help you make adjustments to use the correct form throughout the class. You will dance, you will sweat, you will see results! If anyone is looking to make a difference in their bodies… to lean and tone… look no further… Take the advice I received from a friend and you will see that hard work pays off! Bonus: Convenient and free parking!!! Don’t know how it gets better than that! :)

I love it!!! I wanted to switch up my workout and try something new and my friends recommended Barre and it’s been so much fun. I got a Groupon (when they had 25% off) and got a 10 class deal. Using the Groupon is super easy and you just show up and show them the Groupon on your phone and that’s it; no appointment needed, no hassle.
The instructors here are all very friendly and helpful to newbies. My favorite is Brittany; she likes to change up her workouts and her class always kicks my ass, haha. I’m sure I’ll be back after my 10 classes are up. =D

Cardio Barre is the perfect balance between lengthening and strengthening. The best part about it for me is that I was able to do it until 38 weeks pregnant (with modifications, of course) and it was the first exercise I introduced back into my schedule after giving birth. I love that it is no impact, and continues to be a challenge no matter how long you’ve been taking classes!

My sister suggested that I try Barre and introduced me to this studio. The first few classes were a bit awkward while I was learning the steps but it didn’t take long before I was up to speed. I really enjoy Sadie’s weekend classes. She’s easy to follow, challenging, and always makes sure your form is correct. I had a baby this past year and Barre is definitely helping me get back into shape.

Cardio Barre is soooo fun! As far as the barre classes go, it’s one of my favorite. It moves along quickly and keeps my attention. Oh look, a butterfly! Oh wait, I’m writing a review. Where was I? Oh yeah! Cardio Barre is also entertaining. Learning all the different moves is fun, and they call the clients in class «Dancers». They move the class to the beat of music, even to switch sides. It’s fun and a good workout.
The workout itself isn’t the HARDEST I’ve done, but it’s also not the EASIEST. It’s perfect when you want to sweat but also be able to walk up the stairs when you get home.
Parking is good because although the lot is small, there is lots of street parking. The staff is friendly, and so are the other clients. Lastly, they have great prices on workout clothes in the lobby.

How did i start coming to this work out? When i first at all dont like working out cuz after work all i wanna do its just relax and do nothing else than watch my dvr thats right .
Well my first class was with Brittany so i was lost i didnt even know what was happening but she was so helpfull and corrected me every time i would messed up which it was every minute lol .
I started once a week and then on the 3^rd week i met Gabrielle and thanks to her cuz she motivated me i started doing double classes now i feel a difference in my arms and body little by little im getting my body tone up, some people says Cardio barre? Is it like a ballerina class? yeah buddy do it and then we talk specially guys which they think its so easy .
All the instructors are AMAZING !!!
Gabrielle is very down to earth and awesome human being she will
Help you out if its in her possibilities and that says alot about an owner .
Every instructor will correct you and i find that GREAT !!!
Now all i do is work out and i dont wanna stop when i dont work out i miss it ! Am i crazy? Maybe but im also getting ready for the summer :)

It’s unfortunate that the management of this location is so poor. My roommate and I decided to check out this location after having been to the Santa Monica and the converted/​former Long Beach location. The workout itself is 5 stars, but this location really doesn’t deserve any at all.
After we decided to check out this location, I purchased the new client special on their website. In hindsight, I should have just waited to do this at the studio so I wouldn’t be out $ 49 now.
We checked the schedule on the website the night before and planned on attending the first evening beginner class the next day. We show up at what we think is ~20 minutes before the class starts when… SURPRISE! The schedule had changed and the class had started 30 minutes ago. So we stand outside in the lobby wondering what is going on. During this time, another new client also shows up and is just as confused as we are about what is going on. After standing in the lobby for like 10 minutes, the instructor (who was also the owner) comes out to tell us the schedule had changed and that the next beginner class wouldn’t be for another 2 hours. She rudely told us that we should have known the schedule changed since she sent an email out about it and posted about it on the Facebook page.
Um. Excuse me, but. 1) why would I be subscribed to your emails when I’m a new client? and 2) I don’t make it a habit to go looking for the Facebook page of every new studio I want to try and stalking it for schedule change updates? Especially since I had checked the website the night before. I would have even been willing to forgive this event if the owner hadn’t been so incredibly rude when she came out to tell us this. No ounce of apology in her voice. If anything, it was pretty condescending. Also of note, the other new client also had a friend who was apparently on her way so she had to call her friend to tell her to not come. So… that’s a total of FOUR people.
tl;dr management here is rude and now I’m out $ 49. My first experience here was so unpleasant I will never consider returning here. Cardio Barre Santa Monica is a much more friendly and pleasant studio, or check out Barre Releve in Long Beach (former Cardio Barre Long Beach)

I used to love this place bc of the instructors but the new owner has changed that, due to her teaching most of the classes. Personally I don’t like her style, she is not encouraging and doesn’t correct or help people’s form when they need it, and doesn’t join in on the workout which I wish she did because it’s helpful to watch someone model the moves.

Love the instructors! Love the classes!!! If you want to get in shape by summer I guarantee these instructors will whip you into shape.

My friend is a regular and she urged me to try Cardio Barre with her.
Cute little concept and a great way to do cardio while toning up at the same time. The instructor was very positive and had a great vibe. It was a little confusing at first. Everyone was in sync except me but I eventually got the hang of it. My friend had ankle weights on so you can definitely adjust the intensity. It got a little stinky in the room towards the end.
I didn’t get a good of a workout as expected. It could be because it’s my first time and or because I am already active. Personally this is not something I want to pursue except to drop in once in a while with my friend.
I paid $ 17 for my first visit… most studios and gyms that I visited in the past always waive the first visit.

My friend and I attended our first class here on Thursday. We had a great time. Our instructor was Sabrina. She was upbeat and fun. It was a beginners class, so it was not challenging for me. Still, it was fun, and I don’t want to workout hard at 8pm at night. I’m excited that I tried this place and will be going back this week.
The studio is clean and the sign up process is easy. It is very fast paced. Bring a towel!!! I wish someone had told me that.

In love! CRAZY good workout. I was a dancer for most of my life, but have fallen out of it the last few years. I’m not gonna lie, I walked into this place pretty cocky, thinking it would just be an easy way for me to burn some calories.
Well, it kicked my ass and my ego. No joke, I haven’t sweated that much in a loooong time.
It starts out pretty mellow and works up to a good burn, and the class is fast paced the entire time. There are ladies of all ages here, but no one’s judging how high your kick is, or what your pointed arch looks like. It’s all about doing the exercises to the best of your own individual ability, and doing them properly to work the right muscles. I bought a groupon deal, as these classes are pretty pricey, and there are tons of livingsocial and groupon deals offered for barre classes all the time, so I’d recommend those. I’m sold!

Oh my god. I’ve been here 4 times. The change in my body is dramatic! Why? Because if literally kicks my ass left and right every single time. I’m not ashamed to say this– I can’t get through a workout without stopping or putting my weights down. Mind you, these are 1 pounders!!! Bought a package on living social for 10 classes and I am 200% hooked. Love that they have locations all over LA and the OC, makes traveling and working out easier! I wish this location had a few more classes during the week/​weekends, but oh well.
Also everyone I’ve met at this location is super friendly and the instructors are all super sweet and helpful and motivating! AND RIPPED!
If you’re curious, do it!

A friend introduced my to CB about 5 years ago in Studio City and I instantly fell in love with the classes.
If you like a high-​impact, non-​stop workout that gives serious results, then this is a great place to be! These classes are the perfect combo of cardio, strength training, toning and elongating. Everything a girl could ask for!
No matter what level of experience you are with Cardio Barre, there is always room for improvement of form so if you’re a first timer, don’t feel intimidated. Even the instructors correct fellow instructors within the classes.
Great energy and a positive place to be; extremely motiviating. With regard to the Redondo Beach location… Jessica is off the charts amazing.
This class isn’t for the weak or those that want to look cute while working. It’s business!
