Nice place. Went there midweek to grab a bite to eat with a couple of friends. We sat at the bar and ordered the steamers, the garlic knots, an order of meatballs and a caesar salad and they were all really tasty! The caesar salad has homemade dressing with lots of fresh garlic. It was delish.

I love this place! Always friendly — food is good — vibe is fun and relaxed and I would definitely recommend it to friends! Casual and great for a local go-to spot for some simple Italian traditions, pizza, drinks and wine! If you like sports they play the games too.

My new favorite restaurant for lunch. You can’t beat a healthy portion of delicious pasta and a salad for $ 10!!! The ambience is so cool… Lots of regulars having a good time. The service was awesome as well. I can’t wait to go back!

We attempted to eat at your restaurant and decided to leave(third time) due to the hostess and host who were not aware of the customers and our order of arrival. We gave our name and it didn’t even matter. We come quite often and our favorite server Jill makes our visits very enjoyable, but we are trying to decide if we will return. Thank you.

I’ve passed this place many a time on the way to LAX and always thought, «Why haven’t I eaten there?» Well, tonight I finally stopped and wished, like the other times, I had kept driving by. Some have complained about the service here; I thought it was friendly and pleasant. The dining room itself felt a tad uncomfortable — crammed in with televisions all over the place like a Buffalo Wild Wings. Definitely not the place for a romantic dinner(thankfully I wasn’t on one!). We started with the«Nana’s Bread» which came with a side of pasty marinara sauce for dipping. Pass. My friend and I both got the Pasta al Forno which was way overpriced for what was received at $ 16.00. The«meatballs and sausage» baked into the dish were tiny little diced pieces and barely recognizable all swimming in the same pasty marinara. There’s another restaurant close by that kills this dish; Charlie simply killed it. Overall, not the worst I’ve ever had but I can’t imagine a person from the New York/New Jersey/Philadelphia area recommending this«NY Italian Joint» — I know I’m not. For what was received, you’re better off hitting the evil OG than this joint.

Wow! We went here for Mother’s Day yesterday and we had amazing service and food! Not only did they give every mother a $ 20 gift card but also gave us beautiful pink roses and a discount on our bill. Note that we had 3 mothers at our table so that is $ 60 in gift cards and not to mention the rest of the mothers who dined here that day. I am so so so happy we went here and definitely will be back! Plus the food was delicious! Also, our waiter was very on top of everything she was blonde(sorry I can’t remember her name) but she was also amazing!

When you walk in the door, the smell of garlic and tomato sauce is exactly the right greeting for a place like this. The food was very good and the service was great. Kudos to Candice for making a good food experience better by taking such good care of us. She was an accommodating and gracious host to our party enhancing the experience. The sauce is authentic east coast Italian American(meat sauce and marinara), the meat balls, sausage, lasagna and stuffed shells were just what we expected. I have seen this place many times and never stopped in, I don’t know why, but now I am kicking myself for waiting so long. It was like coming home.

The BEST Italian food in South Bay… hands down. Gluten free, hormone free, farmers market, all the LA fixins and STILL the bomb ass Italian food! Such an unassuming place if you drive by, but make sure to stop in! it’s like cheers but also a family style atmosphere with EVERYGAME playing no matter what season it is… get the word out about Charlies! SOGOOD!

A local favorite which gives a little taste of homemade comfort Italian food from nj. Are there better Italian restaurants? Yes, but this place gives a taste of home.

Went there tonight and ordered the pesto linguini for dinner. The food: 3⁄5 stars. It seemed bland especially since the price was higher than most Italian places. I don’t come here often. I try to like the food, but every time I have the same outcome of wishing I liked the food a little more. The service: 5⁄5 Our server was incredible. She was attentive and, while she seemed overworked, was a very hard worker. She even ran out to our car to give me my left overs I forgot. Amazing service.

Sorry you felt that me sitting before 630, did not rank as a possible order, and to let me know the kitchen would be closing in just a few… and then waiting until 633 to tell me the kitchen is closed, closed at 630-drinks only. Not only did you loose a great tip, as I used to do the Christmas Eve shift– and totally understand you have lost a customer.

Steamers from Charlie’s in Redondo Beach. This dish is the truth. It reminds me of home everytime. Little Neck Clams in a great broth with tons of garlic. I got it to go which was not a good idea but it was still top notch even though it wasn’t fresh and hot. Give me some warm bread and a garlic bomb broth with seafood and I’ll be fat and happy. On an overall review it wasn’t the best meal. The wings were very subpar and the bread they provided was burned toast. I had to go get some proper bread to dip in the broth. But I will be back for Steamers, a beer, and to watch a game. The TV’s are great at Charlies. The beer selection is also top of the line. Kind of a mixed bag but worth a trip to try those freaking Steamers. East coasters do it right.

My favorite pizza place in the south Bay. All three crusts are great with new York style being preferred. Sauce is slightly tangy, slightly sweet and totally delicious. Fantastic draft beer selection to match with their awesome pies. Spinach salad has tasty sautéed mushrooms and bacon! Their pasta dishes are also great. This is a borderline sports bar. Maybe 10 big screens coveting all walls in the main room.

This pizza grew on me big time. When I first tasted it, I was like ehh this is okay. But as it cooled off, the cheese flavor really jumped out. Great cheese. The pizza is advertised as New York style, but the crust is more crisp and crunchy. It has it’s own quality, you just have to be in the mood for that type of crust. I only got mushrooms on top, and they were high quality. I will say the sauce could be more flavorful, but it works. Good pizza. My girl got the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and it tasted wonderful. The meat sauce has big chunks of ground beef. Marinara has a lot of flavor. I liked her dish. Service was a little shaky to start with, but got better as the night progressed. A lot of TVs for viewing. A good amount of beer on tap, felt more like a sports bar in terms of the layout, but the menu is that of an Italian restaurant. I would come back.

Been coming here for years. Used to come weekly when it was Cialuzzi’s. Haven’t been for a long time due to moving out of the area. Had the Cialuzzi combo pizza nut didn’t want the kalamata olives on it. Apparently they only use local food and have no black olives. Too bad, the pie wasn’t as good as I remember it anyway. Lots of TVs and large bar area. Restaurant section closed certain days of the week and it is small anyway(original section from the good ol days).

Based on the mediocre reviews, I was hesitant about this place despite some people I know telling me the food here is good. It is. It’s not amazing or to die for, but it is good. The service was attentive and friendly. They can accommodate large groups. It is a spacious restaurant with lots of televisions placed around the room showing sports. I was facing the window, so I did not pay much attention to the ambience of the room. We came here on half off wine night with entrée purchase. This made most of the bottles around $ 12. I don’t drink wine, so I cannot comment on how good it is first hand. The ladies I dined with seemed happy. Hot garlic bread was passed around the table. I ordered pizza, so I skipped it. Our waitress told me the pizza was fantastic and urged me to try it. I ordered the white pizza on her recommendation. It was tasty, but nothing to rave about. My 2 year old liked my leftovers. The crust was fine. It did remind me of New York. I enjoyed the basil pasta with fresh veggies a bit more. I liked the flavor profile of this dish and the freshness of the veggies. The linguini with clams and the shrimp diablo both looked fantastic. I will have to try these dishes in the future.
