If I could give them a 6 star, I would. Yes, it costs a lot more, but the experience was night and day compared to a cheap place I went before. At Donlevy’s office, I had no waiting. My bone was good, so the tooth extraction and implant were done at the same time. It took only a half hour total. No discomfort other than the numbing shot. In contrast, the cheap place made me wait 4 hours. Then they used an old type of implant that was more likely to cause infections. Of course, I got an infection, and then when I complained about the ongoing pain, they examined the tooth area, but they didn’t even recognize an infected fistual when they saw it. I had to go elsewhere to get it properly diagnosed. The cheap place also put in painful stiches that weren’t clipped properly, so my cheek was sore from them poking it. Then, after it healed, they had to cut the gum so that it would properly form around the implant. That was painful. If they had used the type of implant that Donlevey uses, cutting the gum would not have been necesary. All and all, the cheap place was a horrible experience. I would never go back to them. The experience at Donlevy’s office was pure heaven in comparison. I can’t imagine how the experience could have been better.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Donlevy when he decided I needed to have a wisdom tooth extracted and then when I mentioned it to an acquaintance that I was having it done, he also referred me to Donlevy so I went into it feeling pretty confident I was in good hands. They were right. I had a great experience with this oral surgeon (well, as good as a tooth extraction can be, right?). The staff were professional, Donlevy did a great job, and they didn’t make me wait. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. They also give you a discount for paying cash which helped me save a little money so I was appreciative of that. There is free street parking on Artesia which is convenient. I’ve had bad experiences with dentists and doctors in the past, and it’s great to go to someone who is really at the top of his game. I highly recommend him.
