Dorrie Swales Piano Lessons

Started to take lessons with Dorie very recently. I am older and slower and after reading the reviews decided to take lessons with her. She has been extremely good, answers all my questions and I have tons. She has been very patient with my extremely slow progress and very encouraging. She has made learning such a pleasure it has helped me to study harder and want to try harder. Defiantly recommend her to everyone young or old. Best teacher I have ever had lessons from you wont be disappointed.

Dorrie is very good piano teacher. My 9 year old daughter has learned so much from her in just a short amount of time. She clearly has a strong musical background and understanding of music theory. Having taken piano lessons as a child, I’m bummed that I didn’t learn in such a fun structured way.

I wish every child had the opportunity to have a teacher like Dorrie. I have never posted a review on Unilocal.But my sister-​in-​law found Dorrie for our children through Unilocal and I am forever grateful. My AC/​DC loving nine year old wanted nothing to do with piano lessons. After taking lessons from Dorrie, not only does he love piano, he wants to now learn the cello as well. Dorrie teaches from her heart and the children love her for it. I have seen how she adapts to meet the needs of three very different children (my two and my niece), and adjusts to each personality allowing them to appreciate music in unique ways. She has brough in the use of technology as well in fun «homework assignments» that they have shared with their friends as well. I highly recommend Dorrie.

My two kids ages 6 and 8 have been taking piano with Dorrie for over a year now, and LOVE IT! The progress they have made in the last year is incredible. They both read music now and it’s really building their confidence.
Dorrie is a joy to to have as our teacher and working with her is our pleasure.
