My wife and I (and her parents) have been going to Peter’s shop for over a decade and it is a great auto shop, very reasonably priced, and he is always very knowledgeable about solutions to any problems I bring in. He routinely advises me when to have the scheduled periodic maintenance performed also. He is honest and trustworthy and has always been lower priced than going to a dealership. He is very hard working, treats me with respect and always explains to me any details I have questions about.

If I could give more stars I would. I have a 2011 Mercedes GL450, in which the brake lights stayed on, and the fuel gauge reads empty. This electrical glitched happened at the same time, so I was thinking that it might be a fuse, but I could not find one that was burned out. He double checked the fuses, then thought it could be the SAM board (Relay between fuses and computer), but wanted to check it with their computer before making an expensive decision. He did his thing, then called me and said that the brake lights fixed themselves, but the fuel gauge is not yet working. He suggested I drive it around for a little, to see if the system would cycle through and possibly the gauge would start working, like the brake lights. I had just filled the tank, so I know I can go about 350 miles before I need gas again. After having the car for a few hours, and running the checks on the system, I went to pick up the car, and he charged me exactly nothing. That’s right, zero dollars. He said,” I did not fix anything, so I can’t charge you anything”. This is very refreshing, and many other businesses can learn from this practice. The art of customer service in not dead. I had an issue with my driver side window and went to a few places in Redondo for quotes and received the best quote here! The owner seemed to know BMWs like the back of his hand. He ordered brand new parts from BMW and repaired my window within a few hours. He also only charged me a fraction of the cost other auto shops near by wanted to charge me. When I picked up my car he reviewed the work done and gave me tips on how to prolong the life of my window regulators! Overall, a really honest place with reasonable estimates. I definitely recommend this place for BMWs and will be coming back if any other issues with my car comes up!

If you have a BMW or MB — Mardikian Automotive is a place to go! I normally hate getting car serviced, but this place is really great! The owner, Peter, is so honest and trustworthy! He charges very reasonably and only suggests to do work that is needed! So happy to have found this place!

These guys are great. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them. Peter is always extremely fair on pricing and genuinely takes the time to make sure you understand the work he is doing and why it is necessary to get it done. He also shows you the parts he changed out so you can see them compared to new components. I’ve been there several times for small fixes and it has been a pleasure each time. I recently got into an accident. Peter and his brother Gary are helping me salvage my car for a reasonable price. Really happy about it.
*UPDATE* Gary took point on fixing my car after an accident, as the body was heavily damaged. My insurance company deemed it a total loss, but Mardikian was able to fix it completely with the settlement I was given (and then some extra). I was extremely pleased as the car did not have a ton of miles on it and for the price I paid, I never could have gotten a replacement car of the same quality or value.

The best auto repair shop in the South Bay. Peter is the best. I go to him for everything. He keeps my car on the road!

Brought my 08 BMW 135 I that I bought second hand in. Wanted to get it inspected and understand what preventative maintenance I should be considering as I have 80K miles. Peter inspected the car thoroughly, we discussed what he thought needed to be done, and I dropped the car right then and there. it was done the next day, pricing was reasonable, and off I went. Great service, very knowledgeable.

Peter’s staff consists of very knowledgeable automotive mechanics with years in the industry. His prices are very reasonable and the service he provides is the best. He always takes time to explain the repairs. His staff is always busy. That is a testament to the satisfied repeat customers. It is very rare you find an honest, reliable technician who isn’t looking to rip you off. I tip my hat off to Peter and his staff

Came in to the shop on a late Friday afternoon for an oil change and Peter and his team was able to accommodate me without an appointment. He saved me a few hundred instead of going to a dealership, so I’m very grateful for that. Will definitely be back!

Excellent automotive shop with a very honest and fair owner/​operator. I have been taking my cars to Peter Mardikian for over 10 years and am extremely pleased with his work and fair pricing. He is a rare person, a fair and honest automotive shop that truly has the customer’s best interest in mind. He is a very sharp automotive expert and has a great team of technicians working with him. I have always received great work and honest value for my money at Peter’s shop. He is a very nice and caring person as well. I highly recommend his shop and services, you will not be disappointed!

I’ve lagged on writing this review. I’ve been bringing my 2005 BMW 330Ci for the past 3 years. I have to say, Peter (the owner), is the most genuine, fair, knowledgeable BMW repair expert I have ever met. He is honest and will tell you exactly what your car needs done. I will continue to bring my car to Peter because he is a true, honest professional.

Peter is the best for BMW! He quoted me a very fair price, I called several shops in the Redondo Beach area before I made my decision. However, the real difference is the amount of customer service Peter provides. He explained everything to me, and went above and beyond to correct all of my problems. He stayed until 8:45 to make sure everything was perfect on my car even though it was a difficult fix and way past close (2 hours). Go see Peter! Very knowledgeable and nice.

This place was extremely convenient. I have a busy schedule and couldn’t take my car in till 3:30 on a Friday. Although the lot was packed with cars, he had my car ready by 7pm so I didn’t have to go careless during the weekend. I have never met a mechanic that stays past 5PM especially on Fridays!

Peter at Mardikian Auto Shop is the most trust worthy, kind, low pricing, amazing customer service ever for an independent repair shop. I spent years in the South Bay and my Mercedes kept having different issues and Peter would take my car in and fix daily. I would call him on the side of the road because I wouldn’t know what to do. And as a girl, nothing is the worst than having car issues. He took care of a young girl away from home and family like a daughter and I am forever indebted to him and his helpers. You will keep this repair shop for life. (I ended up moving to San Diego)

Peter and his team are amazing! I have never received such incredible car service before. Peter is very warm and personable. He is very sincere and really tries hard to please his customers. Fred and the rest of the team are wonderful as well!

Unexpectedly great experience with a mechanic. I pulled onto his lot without an appointment on a Friday afternoon and was immediately greeted with a friendly face and a helpful demeanor.
After describing my issue to him, he did two quick tests, told me exactly what the problem was, gave me an estimate and had it fixed within 15 minutes.
I mentioned I was going on a trip so he did visual inspection of the car, engine compartment and fluid levels just to make sure there weren’t any major issues.
The part and Peter’s time was less than $ 70 and his advice was invaluable.

Recently purchased a BMW e30 which was in need of some serious TLC.
I found this shop on Unilocal and was impressed with all the positive reviews and thought I’d give it a try.
As the saying goes, «never trust a skinny chef». Well the same should be said about a clean mechanic.
After speaking with Peter on the phone, he instructed me to bring my car in right away. And to my surprise, he was able to squeeze me in even though I pull up to a small shop which was full of cars and seemed to be very busy.
Very busy indeed as a matter of fact but Peter is a professional and delegates his work flow like a orchestra conductor. He is very hands on. Honoring each of my special request personally and ensuring that my first experience was a positive one.
Pricing is very reasonable. Peter also threw in an oil change and replaced extra parts at no charge after our first estimate.
Peter has been in business in the south bay for over 30 years and it shows.
He went out of his way to earn my business and I will not hesitate to come back in the future.

This place is a gem and Peter is the best! He asked me to drop it off around noon and had it ready for me to pick up at 5pm. The best thing is, I came here to get my brakes (both front and back) on my BMW replaced along with an oil change, and all of that cost LESS than what would’ve cost me just for an oil change at the dealership! I’m definitely coming back here!

Peter, the owner, is extremely honest and his shop is an example of his honesty. His shop is busy with customers dropping off cars, cars being worked on by his mechanics and people asking for advice. No matter how busy he gets, he always has time to answer your question, take a quick look at your problem or simply give some honest advice. I was recommended by a friend who has a 7 series over seven years ago. I take my 5 series here for everything, including oil changes. I reluctantly give this review because I don’t want him getting too busy but an honest mechanic is a hard find.
