We first came to RS because at the time, North Redondo didn’t have a softball league and Torrance’s league was too far for our family schedule(though it was highly recommended). Now that my daughter is entering her 6th year with RS and still loving the game, that tells me we made the right choice. There are fields for every age from 6U(6& under) players up to 14U teams — softball and baseball. The grounds are well maintained and the families are great about getting involved to spring clean and polish, or work the snack bar, for the new season or the big tournaments! The 4 batting machines and practice cages are all operating smoothly and the separate pitching practice areas mean that practices operate like a well-oiled machine with the kids rotating between stations. The coaches and parents collaborate to provide a fun and growth opportunity with the true goal being to grow a love of playing ball. That being said they do well in regional all-star tournaments(if you’re curious about their notable victories, check their website: ). The league provides many opportunities to supplement the kids’ playing experience with workshops, private coaching and camps. Every year my daughter looks forward to another year and reuniting with friends, meeting new ones — many of whom have come from surrounding leagues including Torrance(which absolutely confirms that we made the right choice).
