This was my first time here but second time recycling as a full-​fledged adult.
They have a main line for people with garbage cans full of recyclables and a shorter quicker line for… I guess people that have only a few recyclables?
It’s kinda weird, but it seems like its a conveyor belt and you insert what you need to insert. I can’t speak much on this because I didn’t use it but it seemed neat.
Pro tip: Bring gloves.
This place is dirty and sticky. I don’t mind getting dirty but you forget how sticky things get. Not just your own stuff but the garbage bins your using that are provided are sticky and dirty as hell.
They seemed to take all my recyclables, even the ones some other don’t take, like the milk gallon kind of plastic.
I had (if I remember correctly) a full bin of glass, ½ bin of cans and maybe 3 – 4 full of plastic and got $ 20 out of it.
Luckily they don’t give you cash because it’d probably slow down the process. They print you out a receipt like Coin-​Star and you go cash it inside at Ralph’s.
And when you cash out at Ralph’s… you can go to the self-​check out lane. One of the kind cashiers told me, and sure enough it worked.
I came here mid-​day during the week and it was full, so be mindful of that.
And parking next to the center is ideal, but parking spots that close are kind hard to come by.

If you are in line before closing time, he says they’re already closed and looks at you like you are stupid .
Apparently the lady in front of me was ok. They workers were in the back for a few minutes then came out and basically was told to take a hike .
Only had two kitchen bags of plastic. Was told I couldn’t use the self feed of which there are two or three of because he said those were closed also .
Finally I assumed those are open when the attendant was on duty …

I had about 10 large bag of empty water bottles I had to recycle and about one large box of wine bottles. I have been wanting to take them to the recycling center but I got lazy and I kept telling myself next week and the next and it took about half a year.
I found this place when I went to go buy wines at the Total Wine & More right next door. This place also has the machine where you can do it yourself which I believe pays more than where you just take it to the person directly.
It smells awful like any other recycling center but what can you expect? Make sure you bring yourself a pair of disposable gloves to wear when handling the bottles. You’ll be very thankful afterwards.
When ticket is received, take it to ralphs right next door and you can get cash right away!
