South Bay Archery Lessons

We had a birthday party for my 11 year old daughter and Paul did a fantastic job with engaging the girls. We was the prefect combination of fun but serious at the same time. I could notice a huge difference with the girls skill level in just one session and every child attending the party came out of the party with a true love of archery. In fact when the food arrived the girls all decided to let it sit and get cold because they did not want to stop learning. Thank you Paul for a fabulous party and a truly great experience for all who attended.

I took my 8 year old son for his first exposure. I decided to join in for the lesson as well. It was great. Paul is a great coach. What I loved most though was his positive style of coaching. My son felt great after completing the lesson. As Paul says, it’s not about the target it’s about the bow. That said, my son went from missing the backstop to hitting bull’s-eyes in just one lesson. Needless to say, we had a great time and I am looking forward to more lessons and see where this sport takes us both.

I contacted Paul for a group archery lesson for a birthday party, and he went above and beyond to ensure that the event was a success. He took care of the logistics, all equipment, and really thought through all of the details. He was a great instructor, taking care to explain all the fundamentals clearly and patiently. He obviously had a ton of archery experience and was really excited to share it with us, and overall everyone in my group unanimously had a fantastic time.
I would recommend lessons from Paul to anyone who might be interested in archery. It really was a lot of fun!

Paul is such a great teacher! Not only is he more than qualified to introduce you to the sport of archery, he can give experienced archers pointers that most people know nothing about (giving you a much better shot).
My future husband and I have taken multiple lessons from Paul and have seen rapid results in our ability and skill level. We came in knowing almost nothing about proper archery and have been able to excel in almost no time and have fun while we’re at it! He has such a unique and positive teaching style — focuses on your relationship with the bow over the target, the proper steps from start to finish, all while being able to positively reinforce you and the things you need to work on.

This is a great place for archery! the ocean view is a nice perk that goes along with the spacious size of the shooting range. Lots of variety for differing skill levels. Paul, the instructor, is excellent. He really knows his stuff. He was very patient and explained things in a way that made it fun and interesting. Best thing I ever signed up for… I’m hooked!

I recently brought my Scout Troop here (12 Boys) for some good old fashion fun-​target shooting. Paul made it safe, fun, and enjoyable for all.
We had boys of all levels, some had never shot archery before, while others had the merit badge. Paul took the time to provide individual care to each boy, ensuring that everyone played safe, and that they knew exactly what to do. He even prepared some special targets for the session, and created an impromptu tournament, that the boys really enjoyed. Thanks Paul and South Bay Archery Lessons for a job Well Done! I had a lesson with Paul. It was my first time and he mad archery very easy and enjoyable. I thought it would be very difficult, but I shot a bullseye my first time!
I will be recommending Paul to my friends and family.
