Valvoline Instant Oil Change

There were 3 men who dealt with me. The first guy was respectful and very informative. They all actually were. I work on cars and the information given was right on it. One gentleman went out of his way to even show me the oil dip stick that the right amount and change of oil was done. Eddie was great! Unfortunately he was the only name I looked at and can remember. A+ for these guys keep up the great work! They have my business and Lord willing a tip in the future.

Just got my oil changed here this morning. It was my first time getting an oil change on my own and only my second oil change since getting my car last year. Jason was the one that helped me and he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and could easily answer my questions (I had a lot since it was my first time)
I used a Unilocal coupon and ended up only paying about $ 50 for my oil change and to have my water, wiper fluid and everything topped off. He also gave me a $ 10 off coupon that doesn’t expire for next time!
They are a paperless company so they email the receipts which is great and they walk you through every step of the process! Plus the oil change was very fast, I think I was only there about 15 minutes. Since it was my first time at this place I made the mistake of walking into the office first to ask about the oil change. The staff inside where very friendly and didn’t seemed bothered by me walking in at all. They explained how they work and I just need to drive up. Although I was slightly embarrassed by walking in they were very informative and I appreciated it!
I was warned many times that when I get my oil change they would claim I would have very expensive issues and wherever I go, they would try to sell me everything in the book. This place is not stereotypical like that whatsoever. The only thing they tried selling me was an interior air filter because mine was visibly very gross and in need of a change.
And the only issue they informed my about my car was one I was already aware of, my rock guard was broken a while back and I had a temporary fix with zip ties, they weren’t able to reattach it at the end of the oil change (which they warned me about before starting the oil change) but it was already broken so it in no way their fault.
It was a very pleasant experience and I’ll definitely come back when I’m due for my next change!

Couldn’t have had a better experience. Jasson and George helped me out and walked me through every aspect of my oil change. Not once did I feel like I was pressured to buy anything. They did a great job answering all of my questions about the product and how things worked and gave me a coupon. I saw all of my options (pros/​cons) on the computer screen and they discovered a potential problem that I will follow up with my mechanic. Love being emailed a pdf of my invoice/​receipt so there is one less piece of paper to keep track of. Great job guys!

Great customer service! Was very pleased, used the Unilocal code to get a discount. Everyone was professional, friendly and no one tried to up sale parts for my car that were not needed. They were honest and I will definitely return. Our technician was Jason, he showed the best customer service I’ve received in a very long time. Everyone was happy to be at work and extremely helpful!

I came here because I had a CYBER MONDAY COUPON that I mistakenly read $ 15 oil change. I SWEAR IT WAS WRITTEN IN SUCH A WAY AS TO BE CONFUSING but in fact it was $ 15 OFF AN ALREADY OVER PRICED $ 45 BASIC OIL CHANGE.
UNFORTUNATELY, I WAS ALREADY IN THE BAY AND STARTED SO I COULDN’T BACK OUT.
Their top of the line OIL CHANGE IS $ 89!!! YOU’VE GOT TO BE F’ING KIDDING!!!
I COULD’VE WENT DOWN THE STREET AND GOT AN OIL CHANGE FOR $ 20!!!
Yeah okay, my bad for reading it wrong, but never again!!! I kindly ask him to remove all my information from the system because I never wanted to receive another email from Valvoline again. I mean I live in Redondo Beach (on the not so nice part of town so it’s not exactly that I’m driving an effing Mercedes and can afford $ 89 on an effing oil change). Give me a break!!!
Valvoline is just trying to milk people on what should be an inexpensive service.

My guess is with the money that they’re raking in they can afford to PAY TO GET POSITIVE REVIEWS reviews on Unilocal (of course I’m making no allegations… cough, cough).
Last note, I want to say that I don’t necessarily fault the employees working there as they were nice enough. In fact, the two guys working with me we’re extremely friendly despite the fact that I got royally agitated at one point and told him to stop trying to suggest an air filter change on what I knew that I would be straight paying out of my ass for.
They are just doing there jobs that’s why I feel somewhat obligated to give two stars. But seriously Valvoline corporate needs to get a clue and stop price gouging and using what are borderline deceptive marketing practices!

They have no idea what they’re doing when it comes to German cars. I came in to get my Audi an oil change and it was the worst decision I’ve ever made. Anyway, a few days after I got my oil change I started getting a warning on my dash that I need a oil change. I ignored it because I know that just means they didn’t restart the onboard computer. Then a week later, my car started having problems. I started having cylinders misfire and my car is messing up. Don’t trust these guys with your car.

Wow! Came in for an oil change and was helped immediately! The service was impeccable! Joseph was very helpful and didn’t demand or impose things on me! As a female I feel intimidated coming to places like this but I felt comfortable. This is what I’m talking about! This is the kind of service I love! In and out and to the point! I had my oil changed here a couple weeks ago and was very happy with the service. From the very beginning, the employees talked me through everything they were doing and when they fill out information on the computer screen, it’s positioned so you can watch what they’re doing. This includes the subtotal and an itemized list of all your charges visible the whole time. They also complete an overall check of your car, to include lights, fluid levels and battery.
They offer a discount when you check-​in on Unilocal and a military discount of $ 15 off.

Super fast and awesome service as always! Jason helped me out today, and went the extra mile to help me turn off service lights. I have been coming here for years and appreciate that the crew is always professional and thorough. They inform, but don’t pressure you to do the add on services.

Back again to this location, excellent service — AGAIN! Cannot say enough great things about this place. I have been coming to Instant Oil Change back to the location on Sepulveda Blvd (no longer there). Have brought all kinds of vehicles for service, and grateful I can stay in the car while they service it (and efficiently!)
Today, one of the assistant managers (Jason?) met me outside, and guided me in. Introduced me to the tech doing the work above and off we went. Full Synthetic oil change, changed the interior air filter, pointed out I needed an engine air cleaner (not in stock, or would have replaced that too).

Needed an oil change and this place is great! You don’t have to get out of your car, in and out in 20 minutes and they don’t try to hard sell you on other things! My new go to oil change place!

I just left this place, it was my second time having my oil changed there. I had limited funds with me in the car and told the assistant manager Jason that I would not be able to do any extras because of this. Not only did he make me feel that it was ok, he printed out a sheet that flagged his concerns that I can address at a later time. He also notified me of a coolant leak (I knew I had…). Theses guys were on it! Knowledgeable and kind.
There was something that felt really nice about his understanding. I have been other places where they are seemingly judging the fact that you don’t follow all of their advice right on the spot (needed or unneeded) Jason is a good egg. Thanks guys!

Let’s get right down to it. You’re going to spend a little more here for some basic car servicing. Why? Well, for one thing, they’re extraordinarily fast (fifteen minutes for a standard oil change).
But it’s the other reason that really drives me (car pun!) to come spend a few extra dollars here. And that reason is, they’re not a typical garage, therefore they have no incentive to screw you over with unnecessary repairs. They’re very straightforward and friendly, showing you charts to explain everything for non car savvy folks like myself. Definitely the first place to not talk down to me and make me feel like an idiot.
Really can’t say enough good things about this place.

I had a great experience here. It only took 20 minutes. You don’t even have to leave your car, you drive in and they do the oil change while you sit in you car in the repair bay. The staff is VERY friendly and get the job done. They sold me a new pair of wiper blades and a cabin air filter that I knew I needed, and had those installed in seconds too. (I could do it myself but their prices were competitive with an auto parts store so why not just have them do it all…) I used a $ 10 off oil change coupon that I got from Unilocal.And they gave me another $ 10 off to use on my next visit. Will definitely be back!

On my way to Las Vegas. Needed a VERY quick oil change. Service was excellent! They went the extra mile –checked the tire pressure, water pressure etc.

This is my favorite oil change and car maintenance spot. I have a 98 Camry so upkeep is important for my old car. This place gets you in and out without hassle or a long wait.
Oil can henry was my go-​to in Brea but I don’t live there anymore and Valvoline is the next best thing,
Perhaps better because they do tire rotation. Check in on Unilocal and you get a coupon for $ 10 bucks off.
It’s rare that you find a place with service this great!

This place gets a 0. Why? When they did my oil change they neglected to put on a washer and seal which allowed for oil to slowly leak out of my engine when the car would start. I did not notice the oil leaking until after at least 2 weeks, so it would have been hard to bring it back during initial troubleshooting. My brother had parked his car in my garage so I initially thought it was from their car. During Christmas we drove down to San Diego and the oil light came on. I stopped and got oil at an automotive shop and ended up using the full 5 quarts.
When we got back, I took it to the Acura dealership in Torrance and said I wanted them to investigate the issue after my oil light came on. I suspected Valvoline but wasn’t sure. Sure enough their tech found the problem and corrected it.
DO NOT COME HERE.

A drive-​thru oil change. Who would’ve thought. Novel idea. You do not need to get out of the car. You simply drive straight into the garage. Each bay station has an opening underneath the car that allows a mechanic to go underneath the car without having lift the car up. You literally do not have to get out of the car. A person stands next to your car and informs you of what is being done and you pay him through your window.
Now the positive is also the negative. My high school auto-​shop teacher taught us to never trust a mechanic. It is best to do it yourself plus you’ll save money. Since I do not have my own tools or have access to a mechanic’s garage, I have to take it to a mechanic. When I am at the mechanic, I watch them like a hawk to make sure they do it right and they do nothing funny. Plus, if it is fixing something, I can learn. That is why I cannot give this place 5 stars. I cannot see what they are doing under the hood and under my car. Also, the price. it is slightly more expensive when compared to a mom-​and-​pop garage, and can cost as much as the dealer’s special.
Overall, this isn’t bad. It is quick. they check other things, top off fluids, and are very pleasant and professional.
