I love this Whole Foods.
This is my favorite store. I have the best memories from this store. I loved the employees. I knew many of them and we would talk and catch up every time I would enter the store.
This store was by the beach so it was super cozy and in a convenient location.
This is a very homey store, the coolest employees, love them.

I really like this little whole foods. It’s more like a boutique whole foods as it’s much smaller than others, and they don’t carry everything. I do wish they had more fresh fish available. Everything seems to be frozen or farmed fish.

‘Whole Paycheck’, lives up to expectations and you get handed a bowl of ungracious ‘Whole Entitled Attitude’ by the staff on your way out. These guys could take a lesson from the helpful and positive staff of any Trader Joes.

It was some of the most gorgeous food ever found under one roof the perks of being in California. there was one special needs man with tattoos who struggled with his checkout. The clerks were patient with him even brought his bags to his mini cooper hows that for service. expect nothing but the best.

This Whole Foods is located in a pretty busy plaza. It’s definitely the smallest Whole Foods I’ve been to. The produce section is small and it was difficult to find what I was looking for. In fact, it’s hard to find things at all. The staff is helpful, but I think because the place is so small, they’ve had to get creative in item placement. Either that or they’re trying to mind trick customers into buying more things than necessary. Prices-​wise– well, like all Whole Foods, prices are steep.

Recently got a coffee at self help section wasn’t happy with it was a little bit acidic (yes coffee picky) and stale went back to fix it employee (Alicia) was very rude told me that we don’t have a free refills and that have to pay for it in front of other customers? ;(I felt really embarrassed like I’m stealing a coffee ($ 1.75) and that happen twice already. Did show her my receipt Spoke with a manager he complement me for a free drink! High five! Thank you very much! ;((sadly same story just happen today ;(what’s up with the attitude? I’m working Professional and can afford to buy a coffee and more then that. Whats the point to have self help station when you going to tell me how much milk or sugar I have to used? And God forbid put a little more coffee in my cup? What’s the point to have all the good food but rude hostile customer service?

I’ve been shopping at the Redondo Beach WFM since 2011. I was confronted today (12÷23÷15) after checkout by a man who said he was a store manager. I had just spent $ 64.74 with no problems.
This man said his employee said I «shouted at her.» I said, I didn’t shout at anyone. He only said it was in Specialty Foods Dept. I said I didn’t shout at anyone. I had just spent $ 34.85 on wine in Specialty Foods (3 bottles). I had a pleasant chat with Mark, the wine specialist, about Prosecco sparkling wine.
When I said to this manager, let’s go to that Dept. and talk to whomever said this, he told me «leave my store.» This is about as ugly as grocery shopping gets when you cannot face your accuser! Avoid this store.

I’ve shopped here for many years. Recently the produce department has really stepped up their game. The produce is fresh, well stocked and organic. Check out clerks are super helpful and friendly.

This is the Whole Foods my mom used to shop at when I was a baby, so of course I have insane memories here and in this plaza. It feels like coming home when I come into this clean, smaller WF.
My favorite part about this WF are the staff, most definitely. I now notice that it’s mostly the smaller Whole Foods that have the best staff. They are always asking me if I need any help and, if I do, they are on point and know exactly where things are. Also, the girls in the beauty/​household/​feminine products department were really helpful locating supplies I needed.
Very clean WF. They have a well stocked organics section along with a decently sized bulk section. Cheese section is well stocked as well with friendly faces behind the counter. Only thing that’s too small for me is the sushi section, but they are always willing to make what I want … however, they are not as polished as some of the bigger WF in the area when it comes to making inari sans shrimp and spicy sauce.
Bonus for the fact that the SAME checkout lady who used to check out my mom and I almost 20 years ago STILL works there with a smile.

Worker made a racist store closing announcement after making eye contact with me (Asian American)

…this is going to be my most uncomfortable Unilocal review ever written. I thought I was just gonna let this go, but I couldn’t. Let me get to it:
I was there 10 minutes before their closing time. I was there to pick up some quick salad leaves.
The workers made their announcement about store closing time… the 1^st few ones were quite humorous and sarcastic. I must say they were pretty good… so, I giggled… then it came to the last 5 minutes. that was when things got weird. I paused for 20 seconds by the cheese and wanted to grab something before paying. I also made eye contact with the guy making another announcement about store closing time. He ended his humorous and slightly sour announcement with, «konichiwa, bbbbeeeee… bye bye, see you later…» something to that degree. He quickly moved away as I, an Asian American, was ready to confront him. He got away. I just paid. It was late, I need to go to sleep…
Konichiwa means… good afternoon, no? Your store’s closing time is not in the afternoon. And. were you trying to say bitches? I know Robyn.
That just made me feel very VERY very uncomfortable… I have to just say it. That was… racist.
And, that happened at a whole food… in Southern California? What?!
I wish I recorded it to show to this city’s living treasure… Uncle George… George Takei.

All right, keep in mind this is only my third one star rating on Unilocal — I like to give places more stars and generally give positive vibes, but I am writing about the lack of service I received on Thursday October 22. This service was so lacking that it motivated me to write this Unilocal review.
My sister, after a long day working at the hospital, really wanted some fruit. But alas, Whole Foods, why don’t you label your fruit prices? Why do you have the mangoes on top of the 99 cent pomegranate sale placard? Some of these pomegranates were moldy, by the way. Just a few slots down were some nicer looking pomegranates but again without any price labeling and a different sticker.
So, I realize it was 9:30 pm and everyone is busy closing up shop, but I didn’t know that was an excuse to overlook customer service.
A man comes out from the back door in the produce section and I felt a glimmer of hope — someone I can ask about the mango price!
I ask him how much the mangoes are and he’s obviously busy taking stock or doing something else, so he simply says the people in the front can tell me. Ah, ok. Not a «Sorry, I can’t help you,» just «the people in the front can tell you.»
No. You should at least be apologetic or point me to someone who can help me.
It honestly pissed me off enough for me to go home and write this. I would not have been pissed off if the guy simply said he was sorry he couldn’t help us. I didn’t feel like giving Whole Foods my patronage with that attitude, despite my sister’s great desire to have some fruit.
Keep in mind, we have received excellent service at this Whole Foods before — we live across the street, so this is our go-​to place for immediate grocery shopping solutions and last minute dinner. There was one fabulous worker in the hot food section who really sold us these great chicken wings — he gets five stars.
But not tonight, Whole Foods. All I wanted to know was how much your goddamn mangoes cost. Yes, I could’ve gone to track down another worker on the opposite side of the store, but how about YOU LABEL THE MANGOES IN THE FIRST PLACE? HOW ABOUT YOUR WORKER NOT DISMISS US? You’re asking us to walk over to the front, which is right next to the exit, walk all the way back to the mangoes, and then go all the way to the front to the checkout AGAIN?
Now, I used to date someone who worked in produce at Gelson’s. As we walked home, empty-​handed, save a pack of guacamole from the soon-​to-​be-​closing Haggens down the street, I realized this kind of thing wouldn’t happen at a Gelson’s where customer service is emphasized.
My sister remarked, «Well, Gelson’s is an expensive store… oh wait, Whole Foods is an expensive store.»
Now «expensive» or not, I realized I’ve never encountered such a level of unhelpfulness at ANY grocery store of any expense level. Trader Joe’s — yeah, they always go to check for me even if they are busy re-​stocking something else.
So, Whole Foods, please do a better job in making me continue to give you my patronage.

This Whole Foods Market is inside a shopping center with Rite Aid, Fresh Brothers and Dickey’s BBQ. It’s not as big as some of its grandiose counterparts, but it has everything that you would need to prepare a wholesome meal.
Parking is easy. It also has seating indoor and outdoor to have a prepared meal.

Love the staff here! Always helpful and service is spot on. A+

This location has a smaller footprint than the El Segundo store. If you want to spend hours paroozing the aisles, this WF location is not for you. However, if you need basics like grass fed butter, pasture raised eggs, this will do the trick. The hot bar usually has a good meat and vegetable selection. The salad bar is small. The bakery is very small. The frozen section has a good selection of frozen fruits and veggies, but not a lot of pre-​prepared meals. Sundays mid-​days fresh produce is scarce. I don’t know if the truck just forgets to show up or what the replenishment back end is, but don’t count on your favorite fruits and veggies to be available every time you go. Cheese selection is solid, as is the olive bar. The wine selection is good if you like reds, not much going on in the liquor department or white wines. The meat section is pretty solid. Good selection of fish, chicken, and red meat. Goods selection of frozen meat as well.
Staff is always nice and super appreciative when you bring your own bags. This location is usually pretty busy but the lines usually move quickly. This WF will get the job done, but if you want an ‘experience’ go to the El Segundo location.

Their cold brew Vietnamese iced coffee makes the world go round. Thank you whole foods!
Also the vegan chicken curry, the bomb!

The smallest Whole Foods I’ve ever been to, but it has a good selection of local edibles. The only thing I found strange here is that none of the aisles had signs, so I wandered around a lot looking for things. Staff was nice and helpful though. Great cheese selection and lots of local beers. The produce section was surprisingly small.

Ultra pricey. would always prefer TJ’s over WF on the price of organic food especially yogurt. They’re $ 0.50 more expensive. This Whole Food store does not have a lot of yogurt products either and it’s a smaller market.
Wine. None is under $ 10. So I got a red (Pinot) on sale for $ 14.99 from $ 29.99. I wasn’t happy. Lol.
I appreciate their claim to support the non-​GMO project. Staff was helpful.

Excellent customer service. I tried a drink from a brand I’d never had, and I was able to return it easily (it tasted awful).
Although the parking lot is tight (there are a TON of stores in this shopping center), the parking isn’t an ordeal like the Whole Foods Markets in LA.
The store itself is one of the smallest Whole Foods I’ve seen — but luckily they still carried a decent selection of raw vegan snacks.
Unfortunately the whole «health» vibe is totally tainted when the entire store stinks like dead animals =’(
Also the bathroom is disgusting — gas station caliber gross. Usually Whole Foods Markets have cleaner bathrooms!

The produce, cheese, meat and seafood cases are some of the best in town. I can always shop here for dinner parties, the afternoon wine and cheese snack or the weekend barbecue… Whole Foods has some tasty food. Organic and health food tastes like cardboard to me! But in a pinch I can add some spices, veggies to any of the beans or rices and I can call it a meal.
Any of the cheeses, and the fruit spreads are delicious… try the spicy (hot) Gouda dip, it is fantastic on multi seed crackers. I served the Cabernet cranberry sauce with a Stilton and it was the hit of the party.
This location is by far smaller than the El Segundo location and it’s evident in the size of the aisles. Working your way around customers can be tricky… especially the folks who are oblivious to the world and block the aisles when 4 others are trying to make their way through. Oddly, the «blocker» was an employee… complete with her little black apron. And when I politely say «excuse me» and help you move your cart out of the way, don’t look at me like I’m from Mars… at the very least, I’d expect an employee to be a little more accommodating. Come on folks, heads up, blocking the walkway (cartway?) isn’t cool… stop being so inconsiderate.
Parking can be crazy too… try arriving early morning, before lunch or dinner crowds. This location is convenient, but it’s the El Segundo store that’s my favorite.

Whole Foods is no discount food-​mart. It’s a health-​conscious supermarket filled with natural, organic, pasture-​raised, free-​range, cage-​free, sustainable, environmentally-​friendly, nutritious, healthy, pesticide-​free, GMO-​free, vegan, artisan, locally-​sourced, antibiotic-​free, casein-​free, gluten-​free, nitrate-​free, vegetarian-​fed, wild-​caught, dolphin-​safe, 100% fruit, 0% trans fat, whole wheat, no artificial colors or flavors, no sugar added, no MSG, no nuts, no artificial sweeteners, no high fructose corn syrup, and no preservatives … stuff.
You’ll be paying extra for all that special stuff, but choosy mothers choose organic.
Even though this Whole Foods is smaller than most, I like it more because the service seems better … friendlier. Olivia Z. and me stopped in for the health of it to restock on some organic fruits and veggies for our juice machine. They were pricey … as expected.
Whole Foods … it does the body good, but does the wallet bad. Of course, it’s not all organic, organic, organic, you know. There’s also pasture-​raised, free-​range, cage-​free, sustainable, environmentally-​friendly, nutritious, healthy, and yada yada yada …
