Is there a way to give 10 stars with Unilocal?I wish there were! I called C&A Brown over the weekend to see if they could repair my broken Maytag Neptune dryer… their voicemail said office hours were 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday. So I was pleasantly surprised when Susan called me at around 8:33 AM Monday morning. We picked a time for Rich to stop by (8:30 Tuesday), and the next morning, at 8:29 AM Rich was waiting outside my door. He quickly identified the problem (I needed a new motor) and told me he would need to check to see if the parts were available. On Tuesday at around noon Susan called to tell me the parts were available and asked if Rich could stop by at 3:00 to make the repairs — «Of course» said I. At 3:00 PM, there was Rich again at my door, new motor in hand. It’s now 3:54 PM and Rich just walked out the door, having fixed my dryer.
I must be honest that these guys are THE BEST household service company I’ve ever interacted with. I know I am not alone in feeling this way based on the other reviews.

Rich came to our home to troubleshoot our dishwasher. He was not able to find the problem even after replacing the controller and doing further troubleshooting. He came back on his own a few days later just to try another idea that he had. Really the best customer service by any sort of professional technician that I have experience. Will definitely use C & A Brown for any appliance repair.

Rich & Susan are a great team! C & A Brown Co. was recommended to me by another repair company. Arranged an appointment within 48 hours of my phone call. Very knowledgeable. Excellent work. Great price. I’d have C & A fix my appliance issues in a heartbeat!

Amazing! Rich was on time, knew what the problem was on my vintage O’keefe and Merritt stove immediately, and fixed it. He even gave me a great lesson on the oven ignition system while he made the repair. His price was fair as well. Don’t waste your time and money elsewhere.

As usual, Rich was on time, personable, efficient and professional. I have used their company several times over the years and have nothing but unabashed praise for them.
Anyone with appliance problems should use them or possibly waste your time and money,

Full disclosure, I grew up with Richard Galletta! Having said that I would still never call anyone else for appliance repairs. Rich is a great guy, very knowledge, hard working and fairly priced. He fixed our washing machine last year quickly, easily and at a reasonable rate. He and his wife Sue are a great team and will always take excellent care of you. Always very courteous and professional, I give them my highest recommendation!

Rich replaced the igniter on my oven last week. I got an appointment first thing in the morning before work on pretty short notice, and he called to let me know he was leaving the office and heading over. He took time to explain to me what he was doing, and gave me time to clean out the oven while he disassembled it to put in the new igniter. All in all the work was impeccable and the price reasonable, and my oven is heating up again well. Thanks for the excellent service from this nice, family owned business.

Rich just finished another small job for me, and as usual he arrived promptly (within about half an hour of the beginning of his window), made the repair in moments and took off. He was, again, as always, pleasant and courteous, and his charge was about half of what I would have regarded as fair.
I might add that he has been repairing appliances for me ever since he took over the business from his father, who also did work for me.
I am very confident there is nobody better in the business but I really don’t know because I wouldn’t even think of calling anyone else.

I met Rich and Susan years ago in San Bruno. Long story short, even though they are in Redwood City now, I don’t hesitate to call C & A Brown. Recently, our washer broke down and my wife was looking online for a local repairman — I sternly informed her that C & A is the only company to call — great service, dependable, reasonable prices and just good people. Thanks for all the years of reliability… do you fix cars?

Fantastic service all the way around. I had a very old Wolf range that needed a new regulator. I described the problem to Suzy, then Richard ordered the correct part, installed it, and the problem was solved. It was just that simple. The total repair was $ 250 including parts and labor thus saving me the time and expense of buying a new stove. Richard was efficient, knowledgeable, and polite. He was also informative, answering my questions about issues that weren’t necessarily related to the repair at hand. 5 stars to this company. A very enthusiastic thumbs up.

I had called a few appliance companies in SF who didn’t even bother calling me back. My neighbor recommended Richard, who called back and was there within days.
He’s very a professional and good hearted guy.

Rich and Suzy are a great team that can tackle any problem. They look ahead and try to get the right parts in ahead of the trip to avoid multiple trips. The first time they came to my house, my oven was giving a error code and Rich was able to immediately pinpoint the problem. The second time my dishwasher wasn’t draining and after my failed attempt to fix it of which I than did more damage to the dishwasher. I called them and sent an email with a picture of the part I broke along with the model number and serial number along with the code to the front door. A few days later I came home to it all being fixed and a very small bill and some recommendations to avoid from having the same problem happen again. You can’t lose with C & A Brown Company!

Our 30 year old Chambers electric double oven was misbehaving. Rich came over and pinpointed the problem and fixed it straight away. While he was here, I had him look at our gas cooktop because one burner wasn’t igniting. He fixed that too. He is great, honest and reasonable. No reason to look anywhere else for appliance repairs.

C&A Brown took the call and was very helpful and responsive in both their initial service call as well as the final repair all of which was done very professionally and helped to make our holiday a success. I was delighted with C&A Brown’s recent repair of my oven. The ignitor went out a few weeks before Thanksgiving so I really needed it fixed. Scheduling was easy and that day Rich was able to come earlier than expected and I received a phone call with that update. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and fast. He was also very nice to work with. C&A Brown has my highest recommendation.

I had a very pleasant experience with C&A Brown and will definitely use their services in the future. First of all I love the fact that it’s a family business — a husband-​wife team. You’re not rolling the dice to get someone experienced and knowledgeable. Richard is knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Also, on the scheduled repair date, I had a conflict with the originally scheduled time and they were very gracious in accommodating a last minute schedule change. They have my highest recommendation!

Richard was able to fix my washing machine even though the first guy I called couldn’t figure it out. He was prompt, efficient, reasonably priced and very nice to work with. I will certainly call him first if I need repairs in the future.

Rich and Sue are great. Scheduling logisitics are a little difficult at times, but once on site, I have never been disapointed.

Called C&A about our dishwasher, which was returning our dishes more dirty then they went in. Rich was VERY punctual, efficient, polite, professional… and even fixed the dishwasher for under $ 100! Thank you Rich — you saved us a bundle!!!

The igniter on our stove oven went out. PG and E detected this in a normal inspection. I went to my heating contractor and he recommended this company. I must say that Sue and Richard Galletta did a truly outstanding job. They were professional in every way. Their price was fair and they gave a good invoice with full details. I highly recommend them for any one with appliance repair issues.
